This thread is for stupid GAMING questions that don't deserve their own thread

I want to sell my PS3. Can i somehow offer the people to let the digital games (not from PS+) i bought on the PS3 (to get some more €) ? As i recall it they are not tied to any account. I could just delete all my different accounts and let one left, with the games.
They still can format the PS3 and erase everything if they want.

All digital PS3 games are tied to an account. You can't deactivate your account on the system without making the games inaccessible.
Ah thanks. Thought it would be possible because you could download games via account sharing/game sharing and then just play them on your normal account.

Have put the listing on ebay without the games.

How do I restore my PS+ game licenses on PS3? I've read for PS4 that it's as simple as going to settings -> PSN -> Restore Licenses, but I'm not seeing that on PS3.

What is a good racing game for PC if I like Gran Turismo 5 for PS3?
I like the whole "story" mode: racing to upgrade your car in different races. Gradually upgrading the car you drive.
Preferably available on Steam (and if possible with controller support)

The closest option to that would be Project Cars once that is released. If you appreciate a Simcade experience that has fun racing and a nice career mode (no tweaks to the extent of GT series), give a shot with Grid: Autosport.

I think you'll be very impressed by what you find on the PC in the racing genre opposed to consoles. Do you have a racing wheel?

Assetto Corsa is available now; is my favorite sim, and has A career mode. It isn't like you described, but the physics on the game are excellent and the community mod support is top notch so far. I recommend this over Project Cars as a racing sim, but I think PC will have the career mode you are looking for.

Great! Thanks for the info. Dont have a racing wheel, but I might be able to get one, so I will check that out

This is a question born out of complete ignorance, so I apologize in advance. Why are Musou/Dynasty Warriors games considered Strategy/Tactical games? I've never played those games (only played a demo on PS2; thought it was a very boring beat'em-up/brawler) and I've been reading up on them and I still don't know what the strategy is.

tl;dr You can't be everywhere at once.

PS3

Not "gaming" but is there any way to watch South Park studios? I went using the browser but no video :(

yeah, you have to buy via console. During the checkout phase it'll go further than you'd expect before it asks if you want to use your balance. Just pay attention to make sure you don't actually charge your CC.

Here's the kicker for me. I have $2.03 on my account balance left. Every time I try to split payment, it gives me some bullshit error. I googled it and plenty of people have the same problem. I seemingly can't split a payment so I've been on the search for something $2.03 or less. These "promotional points" (which is bullshit, it was a store bought points/money card) expires in a month.
Cheers! I ended up buying it on the 360 in the end (which sounds like an aircraft awaiting takeoff, hence my trying to use the website if at all possible!) and it used the account credit no problem.

So I was playing DOA5 LR Core on PS4. After a few drinks I noticed that frequently I was getting opponents dressed in Santa outfits. My brain said without thinking, "Hey I should buy more costumes or the full game to just stop fighting Santa now since Christmas was two months ago".

And then I realised that's probably exactly the intent and a pretty ingenious move. I sobered up and didn't do that, but still like the idea that Tecmo sat in a board meeting and may or may not have had a Santa meeting for this exact purpose.

Anyone else done this in the last week?

What are the chances of a slim PS4 being announced at GDC next week?

Seems incredibly unlikely to me

Original PS2 slim was announced Sept. 2004
2nd PS2 slim rev. was released Sept. 2006 in Japan
Original PS3 slim was announced Aug. 2009
PS3 Super Slim was announced Sept. 2012

Sony likes to position their revision announcements/releases for the 2nd half of the year at earliest

Do I have to have a Wii remote and nunchuck to play multiplayer Nintendo land?

I only have a game pad, and waiting for pro controller delivery.

P.s. I just realised that NintendoLand is probably the cheapest first party Wii U game available lol

Do I have to have a Wii remote and nunchuck to play multiplayer Nintendo land?
Only one game in Nintendo Land (Metroid Blast) requires you to have nunchucks. The other five multiplayer games require an extra wiimote for every player beyond the first. The single player games all use the gamepad.

As an example, if you want to play The Legend of Zelda: Battle Quest with three friends you need one gamepad and three wiimotes.

Hello, GAF!
Apologies for asking this here, but I couldn't find a better thread than this one for my question.
Could anyone tell me the game this OST track is from ?
> Twitch direct link
The one that starts at 22:50. Hopefully that doesn't count as advertising or promoting.

I've been trying to find it for quite a while but without any success. I tried asking him directly, but never got an answer either, can't blame him though, he must receive tons of messages.
Thanks for the help !

^seasons had more combat, ages had better puzzles. get both, play through one and then use the code give at the end to continue the storyline

_____

What are the chances of Xenoblade getting a 3DS bundle?

Seasons because its prettier to look at when you change it from spring-summer-fall-to winter

It doesn't matter. I think one was more puzzle focused and the other one was more action focused, but I don't remember which was which.

I googled around a bit and it does seem like Seasons is a bit more trickier with a more combat focused gameplay. And if Seasons is prettier I'll hold out a bit for it.

Plus it's in alphabetical order if I play Ages first, lol.

Thanks for the tips!

What's the best way to record sound (voices) in local co-op PS4 games? I only have the PS4-headset (earplug with mic) that came with the system. I'm am a bit hesistant to buy a PlayStation camera just for this. Is it possible to plug in another earplug-mic into controller 2? Will it record both voices then?

Hope somebody can answer this:

In mass effect 2,I bought a health + 10% upgrade from one of the citadel stores. However, the upgrade isn't showing up in shepard's terminal or in the console at the tech lab. Where is it? Thanks.

This is not a stupid question at all but I'm stuck on mobile so don't want to start a new thread.

I'm playing Hotline Miami and have gotten to 91% achievments (probably my favorite game in the last 5 years) but the most rent one I accomplished wont register/is bugged. It's the "Sounds of Aninals Fighting" trophy, the one that you have to wear every mask at least once. I just completed Chapter 1 with every single mask in my one sitting to no avail. Any advice? I /should be like 20 minutes away from my first platinum :/

P.s, my internet is out so I'm not on PSN, but multiple other trophies I unlocked still registered earlier

I've allways wondered what the tech reason is behind the terrible loading times in Destiny. What did they do wrong?

The tower, which is a rather small area, takes longer to load than the massive locations in Dragon Age: Inquisition, 6vs6 Crucible matches on small maps takes over twice as long to load as giant 64 player matches in Battlefield 4, etc.

Does it have to do with it being allways online?

Gaf please help me, I am trying to create a Japanese PSN account, I am following the tutorials on Youtube perfectly but I am getting a completely different screen after entering my online ID and Name. I have checked multiple videos and the screens are all the same for them but totally different for me and not sure what boxes to tick, it always takes me back to email account page after accepting all the way through. Driving me insane as I have done this before.

I've always assumed it's because it isn't just loading the locations, it's doing matchmaking of some kind to put you in a populated instance of that location.

I don't live in the US so the PSN won't accept my credit card (since its a non US address)
PayPal won't work either so I generally buy PSN card codes online, what's the best place to get them from? I use PC Game Supply right now

I recently started playing the first Danganronpa, on the default difficulty. I'm finding the trial sections of the game to be way too easy. It seems the other characters are always giving hints that are way too heavy handed. Is there less hand holding in the trials if I increase the difficulty?

With the recent announcements of unreal engine and source 2 engine being free for developers, I had a question.

The stipulate is that you pay a percentage of the profits of the game for when it's released. But I wondered how this is for early access games. I mean most of the people that were going to buy DayZ have bought it already even though it wasnt out yet. Is this mentioned in the agreement?

I assume that as soon as you start charging for it, it counts as released to them.

No... the dialogue is the same. The only thing that changes is how some of the mechanics work and how severely you are punished for making mistakes. (I am pretty sure anyways)

I had to remove my zip code?! which makes no sense. on my credit card billing address.

Always amazon.com, you can buy them at no mark-up. Are PC Game Supply those guys who pretend their prices are cool and then add six quid on at the checkout for no reason? Nobody should be supporting that kind of shit.

How do I restore my PS+ game licenses on PS3? I've read for PS4 that it's as simple as going to settings -> PSN -> Restore Licenses, but I'm not seeing that on PS3.

PS3 doesn't have the restore license feature like 4. if you downloaded a + game and then deleted it, you can go to your downloads and find the + Games. + must be active to see them in the history,re-download, and play.
