This thread is for stupid GAMING questions that don't deserve their own thread

It's difficulty is a bit exaggerated. If you are a frequent gamer you'll be fine.

Edit: kodt is absolutely right. Without the difficulty there would be no tension or exciting combat.

No. I played for a few hours and it was just too difficult for me to want to sink in more time to get it. Great concept though.

Work in what sense? Are you talking about the 360 version?

EDIT: I thought it was the Sacrifice that's in both, never mind.

There was a puzzle game released not too long ago that featured visible triangles in it's geometry and made use of vibrant colors in a black setting. Anyone remember what it's called?

you mean sacrifice? the passing was for l4d2 if I recall, if you bought it on pc for steam it's all free, but if it's on xbox you have to buy sacrifice twice for both versions of l4d on xbox.

Do you know the platform?

I think it was an indie f2p on pc. The first puzzle was in a small room with a purple ceiling with some symbols on it that told you the order of some keys you could hit on a multicolored console

I tried to play my SNES after years of it gathering dust. The power still works but it doesn't give out any video.

Is there any way that I would be able to fix it on my own or is it gone forever?

Will a DS3 charge off a wall charger? Charger is 5V 2A, and it charges my phone just fine (even though it is a 3.7V battery) but my DS3 doesn't light up...

It's still the 2009 E3 demo.
Sucks, thanks for the reply.

If it doesn't light up it's not working, try plugging it in your PC instead. I charge off my laptop usually.

If I delete my PS3 username off of one system, will it delete my trophies on another if I associated my PSN with both accounts?

I don't PC game that much and I just bought GTA San Andreas on the Steam sale and downloaded some software so I can use my PS3 controller to play the game. The problem is that the buttons are all over the place and I'm having trouble remapping them. Are there scripts or something I can download that will automatically load the PS2 button layout for a gamepad?

How does Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga hold up these days?
It's still as good today as it was five years ago. A few RPG aficionados from another forum recently played through it for the first time, and they all seemed to like it. I personally prefer the first one because of the setting.

I use Xpadder whenever I PC game. Should work out fine for what you want to do, with some quick configuration.

Okay, stupid question. This summer I'm pretty busy, and I only have time to focus on one game. I'm in limbo between replaying Final Fantasy X or playing World of Warcraft for the first time. Which should I chose?

WoW will still be there for you after you finish FFX.

I vote Final Fantasy X.

I just got myself a 360 slim and I left the old one back in my dorm. My question is, how does dlc work on multiple xbox? Can I sign in on the new one and download all my previously owned dlcs and games? Or do I need that transfer cable?

If you're busy, you probably don't want to start an MMO. Then again, I'm not sure why anyone would want to start an MMO anyway.

Does the Wii U have more RAM than the xbox 360 or ps3? If so, do you think GGPO on SSF4AE or Tekken x Street Fighter is a possibility there?

Professor Beef said:
And if there actually is more ram on the Wii U, then it wouldn't make sense to have GGPO only on the Wii U, and not on the other two systems.
I dont see why not? pc could also benefit too.

The gist of it is this (taken from a quick and dirty search on SRK):

rollback architecture gets ugly when you throw tons of data at it

That's why Ponder repeatedly states that GGPO is for "Arcade-style games" and why Capcom reps have said that GGPO can't be used in a modern 3d game

You have to either design the game for GGPO from the ground up (which limits what you can do) OR have a game that is simple enough to allow code like GGPO to function properly

If the game is tracking physics on multiple objects, like sparks, background crap, debris, etc., rollback can get a little wild

And rollback works well in FPS because you don't have situtations where split-second timing determines outcomes dozens of times a minute. It allows for more slop. GGPO works well for games that only need to transmit small packets of data and rollbacks (which are noticable) don't make the game look all jerky and insane

If you don't have a lot of time, replaying a game seems like a waste when you could get an all new experience, but that's just me. (Although, FFX is my favorite Final Fantasy)

Yeah. They're just Reach maps. They don't want to fragment the multiplayer audience with two different games.

So will you have to buy reach + old maps or can both reach players and CE players play together?

Are there IR lights in that black bar on the Wii U remote? I know there is a camera there...

EDIT: I was wondering if a Wii controller could interact with what the Wii U controller displays.

I have been playing through Kotor recently, and while I love it I have been having problems with the disc. You see its really old and isnt in the best condition which leads to a lot of hiccups. Now for my problem; I have just finished by jedi training and decided to go to Korbian first was that a mistake? Because when I got to the star map it would animate and the acutally map would appear but I couldnt do anything with it. Is Korbian meant to be played later in the game?

Don't own a PS3 but I'm wondering what trophies are about. Do they come like trophies in the Smash Bros. games where each one has a unique model, or are they just more like just plain-old achievements just named as trophies?

The latter. It's just Sony brand achievements.

Actually I think they even lack unique pics like achievements have... (edit: just checked. I was wrong. They do have unique pics).

Oh ok. Then another question: has anyone done something like the former though? I mean like turning achievements into something interactive once you aquire them.
