There isn't any specific indicator anywhere. It just depends on how the devs implemented their achievements. You might be able to get info on a specific game by asking on the steam discussion board for it.

I'm not 100% positive, but I think I saw the yellow light... Fuck. I'm backing up my savegames as I write this, thanks for the advice.

Is there anything else I can do? Is there any way to diagnose the problem? Could it be the hard drive, for instance?

All the three times this happened at start-up, the console booted fine when I turned it on again. It also seems to be working fine when it is on.
 
Hey guys, has anyone ordered anything from vdgamestore.com? They have suspiciously cheap prices and I'm worried about buying from them. Google searched but could only find a CAG thread talking about how the site is Vietnamese.

Is it legit?

EDIT: Actually it seems to be based in California.

Dishonored question - area I'm asking about is the 2nd big mission:

So I'm now discovering by poisoning The Bottle Street gang's whisky that I've made the epidemic worse in the city. Now I'm being attacked all over the place by weepers AND assassins. Is there a way I can fix this to cool things down? Everywhere I go I'm being encountered by someone and I'm not digging it.

It should be fine by the next mission. You'll have to make do until then, as far as I know.
 
hey as you can imagine I am quite new around here so cant start my own threads and I dont want to be hijacking others threads either. I was wondering is it cool to ask someone to post a video for me where I discuss the reveal of the next gen console. They probably got paid for product placement. I can't imagine Nintendo ever spending money on licensing brands like that. They won't even pay for the license to allow their systems to play DVD movies.
 
Does anyone know a good site to check N64 game prices, more specifically PAL versions (so euros not dollars)? I'm selling quite a few N64 games to my friend, and I'd like to check what other people are asking for the same games. They're all in pretty good condition and they all have boxes and stuff.

I tried searching google, but couldn't really find anything wrothwhile. And searching ebay and stuff for each game is exhausting as well.

For the Nintendo "so many games" promotion am I allowed to buy 2 copies of the same game e.g two animal crossings or does it have to be separate games to be eligible?
 
I'm looking for a specific screenshot of RDR, it's John and Bonnie, standing on her porch during sunset. I've seen it a few times, and I can't find it at all now, it's really annoying me. Anyone know the one I mean?
 
What are some good 360/PS3/PC action adventure games that are focused just as much on movement and climbing as it is shooting? I'm thinking along the lines of Uncharted and Tomb Raider.

On PS3, when a message arrives, a little box pops up, does anyone have a picture of that? I need to put Lost spoilers in one as a joke while my friend is watching it, and I need to know how much of the message is viewable without opening it.

That's why many people hoard their pin codes, as their expiration date is longer.

The same game only counts twice if one is retail and the other is bought through eShop.
 
I want a 3DS but I'm afraid it'll go unused quickly. It's only $200 for an XL, yeah? I want games like Animal Crossing: New Leaf, ALttP 2, Pokemon X and Y, and Professor Layton, but I'm not sure it's enough to push me over.

Convince me to get a 3DS, please.

I really doubt a hybrid BluRay with both a PS3/PS4 version will ever happen. That's developing or porting 2 for two different consoles with completely different architectures... unless the game has a MSRP of $119.98.

Edit- misread the post.

A standard BluRay will work in any drive... Not sure about 4K BluRays though.
 
Will Sony give us a chance to change our playstation network ID's without losing our trophies/friends when PS4 releases?

In settings you can add another folder/hard drive for games. Then whenever you install a game, if it is Steampipe compatible (most games are these days) you can choose where to download it to.
 
Quick question regarding XPadder. Can you altar control schemes using it? So, like, for GTA: Vice City is there a way to map shooting of a weapon to R1 rather than B or whatever it is on a 360 pad.
 
Can someone help me decide; PS3 Slim vs Super Slim. Has there been any revelations? Like the Super Slim is MUCH better with cooling and longevity ect? I'm torn. I like the look of the Slim better, but you can get more space for cheaper with the Super Slim. Any suggestions?

Yea it should, the controller has a year warranty no matter what (if you can show your proof of purchase), so it shouldnt be a problem. Call the support number

Why do I get screen tear when I plug my laptop into my TV with the same in game settings?

It is annoying, but has only happened to BF3 so far. I have to Vsync it on my Tv but not on my laptop screen.
 
So what was all the hullabaloo with Far Cry 3's narrative? I know that there was some controversy but never dove into the discussion because of spoiler fears. Now that I beat it, I don't see anything wrong with it or anything offensive, can someone explain?
 
Are there any "metroidvania" driving games? Like something where you drive around in an open world and get upgrades to your car in order to accomplish certain goals, solve puzzles, and reach new areas. Like a jump upgrade, an upgrade to knock through walls, a hover boat upgrade, maybe even weapon upgrades, etc.
 
Só, right now I'm playing The Legend of Zelda of NES and I have a problem.

After talk with the old guy that give me the letter that allows me to buy potions, I die and now I don't have more the letter and the old guy is no more there.

Is it a bug or I can find other way to ability the potion shops? I hope that I don't need to restart the game.
 
OT version of stupid questions is locked for whatever reason so I'll ask my half gaming half OT stupid question here!

I have been using the RCA cables for audio output from my PS3 (video via HDMI). If I'll get 2xRCA female - 3.5mm female adapter shouldn't the audio work with just plugging my standard headphones in? Of course I'd have to change the volume via game settings.
 
I'm playing Crysis 2 and I can barely do anything whatsoever without getting spotted by the guards. Is the AI too smart in this game or am I missing something obvious?

NOTE: I've even lowered the difficulty to easy just because I keep getting my ass handed to me.

NOTE 2: Even when I'm invisible and haven't alerted guards to my presence and go in the middle of nowhere where they shouldn't be, they'll all pile around me. Also, the second my invisibility wheres off its like they can see me through walls sometimes.
 
My backlog's getting pretty big so I think it's time to drop some games.

Is Dragon Age Origins Awakening worth playing? I have the Ultimate Edition so I already own it, but I'm considering skipping it and all other DLCs so I can just move on to DA2.

Also, so what's the difficulty like in Dead Space 2? Thinking of playing it on the easiest setting, since I don't think its gunplay is what I really care about. Not sure if that'll suck the tension out of the game though.
