I have a question. It´s one of those "Oh noes, go see a doctor" things, but they all dissmissed so far.
So doctor GAF:
I have really, really, REALLY shitty wound healing.
A superficial cut can be open for days and not heal. Basically every cut or scratch will leave a visible scar. I cut myself while shaving and the wound didn´t really close and turned into a scar with the excact dimensions after about three weeks. Even as a little kid wounds hardly healed. The cat scratches me, bam, wound for a weak and a scar, scratches my brother, gone after two days.
I have acne, not bad anymore, but maybe that factors into it. My blood tests were largely normal the last years, only a slight anomaly during a blood test after an operation last year. A byproduct of the creatine decompostion (correct use of this word? Or how would you say that?) was 21 times higher concentrated in my blood than the upper limit of normal concentration. I suffered from major muscle soreness though (because I really busted my ass after this operation to get at least part of the lost stenght back) and the doc dismissed it. I don´t think I had another test after that.
My diet is healthy I´d say and has been for years, no fast food, two bananas a day, one litre of milk or more, turkey or tuna instead of fattier meats, whole-grain bread instead of white bread. Had no positive/negative impact on my healing.
As I said, docs dismissed my concerns so far (dermatologist and general practitioner), but never even checked it out. So I´m still wondering about this.
Sorry for this little diary post, but I don´t want to look like I cut myself just because of some minor cuts that leave ridiculous scars or die of an infected paper cut or something :/

I have actually argued about this with one of my roomies for no less than 5 minutes when it was being mentioned by someone in the room. Actually, both of us got to thinking and even though a hooker is, well a hooker, the phrase "hookers and blow" makes quite a bit more sense when it is reversed.

Can someone tell me why I can't play hi-def content on my PC without terrible framedropping? I just bought a new video card that uses the Radeon HD 4770 GPU specifically for this purpose and it hasn't helped a bit. I'm running Windows 7 (used to run Vista and it was the same way), I have two gigs of RAM, and my processor is 3.00 GHz. Those are all decent specs, right? And as far as codecs I'm using the CCC pack and playing my videos with VLC (when I use Windows Media Player Classic, the audio and video go out of sync and the framedrops are just as bad). With VLC, still though, I get massive framedrops and the entire video will hang up every ten seconds or so.
Also, when I go to watch the video, I close every process I possibly can so that there's nothing pulling on my system at all.
What am I doing wrong?
