How would you respond to this. My cousins justification that America is the greatest country on earth
It's simply not true.

All the cars you drive, German. All the guns you shoot, German. All the beer you drink, German.

Also not true.

Ok so I have a blog I made two days ago, first one ever and HTML noob.
veri-disquo.blogspot.com

What I want to know is how can I link it to Facebook?
Like a friend who only uses facebook (the Like feature meaning he follows stuff) asked me how to subscribe to it and I honestly have no idea how other than creating a fan page for the blog then sending the blog posts to it then have people "like" it so its funnels to their news feed?

Is there an easier way im overlooking? I hope so as thats alot of extra effort :(

It used to be if you added a blog or LJ account to your websites, they would ask you if you wanted to import entries as notes.

Things have changed so much over the past few years though.

Yeah I tried that and it came out all weird like just notepad entry's and then you had to click through like 3 things to get to it.
I decided to just make a facebook fan page that way I could add a "like" button to the blog aswell.

How does one go about blocking a number from calling a cell phone
Depends on your provider. For example, as a Verizon Wireless customer, I can log into my account on their website and block up to 5 numbers for free from the control panel.

So my suggestion is to just google your provider's name and "block number". You might have to pay to have it blocked.

Can't help with the rest of you questions.

I am looking for the name of a popular 80s... something... Either a cartoon or a comic series. When I was a kid I had this action figure from this series and it's really bugging me. So here is all I can remember:

- This thing was pretty popular in North America I think and we had the action figures even in Jordan (middle east).

- The art style is not anime, I think.

- The main hero is a cowboy, but I think it's set in some alternate world where technology is further evolved. He has a horse with him pretty much all the time. I think he is a sherif or something.

- The bad guy looks like Chakan The Forever man, actually this is why it bugs me because their designs are so friggin similar and that game came out around the same time. SO I feel that one design was lifted from the other. Some sort of undead sherif.

- Finally, there is a green guy with a moustache, that's the action figure I had and I think he was a bartender because the action figure could throw plates by pressing a button or something.

Wow, this is all pretty vague, it would be awesome if someone knows what I'm talking about.

What's the best way to remove acne scars on the back. I've had them for a while and they're starting to bug me now.

Laser is probably the only real option with actual results available to you, and a relatively expensive one at that considering the surface area. Must be done through a Dr. obviously (dermatologist/plastic surgeon).

What type of scarring is it? Just discoloration I'm guessing?

I don't think I can afford that. It's been annoying me and I don't like that most of my back is covered in scars now.

Edit: Not sure what type but it's red scarring beneath my skin.

I'd see a dermatologist and talk about your options if it really bothers you. Regardless it's gonna be expensive. Also if it's only discoloration and not a texture thing it will naturally lessen with time.

Will do. Just wanted to see what other options were available to me. Thanks for your assistance.

I feel kinda dumb for asking, and I don't need the answer for myself thankfully, but if you're too old to visit a youth clinic to do STD checks, where do you go? :lol Regular hospital?

STD clinics are not for youths. They're for people who are sexually active.

He's talking about a youth clinic, and he lives in Sweden.

I go to a general practitioner for mine, not sure what the equivalent is there. Would imagine just a normal doctor's office would be sufficient.

I don't know about your country but here in America, we can just go to Walgreens. It's next to the pap smear.

Also my state dept of health has clinics where HIV/STD/hep screening is free. No idea about other places.

Looking to get a strategy game for my computer, what would be best to start off with?

I liked Civ Revolution on the PS3... go with Civ V?

The Civilation games are considerably more complex than Civ Rev, but they're also a good starting point. That's probably the route I'd suggest, although I've heard a lot of people prefer 4 over 5 (I haven't played 5, so I can't say much). I still play Civ 1 from time to time, and really enjoy it, but I think that might be nostalgia more than anything (I'd kill for Civ 1 or 2 on iPhone). Anyways, just go in ready to have to learn some.

The Strategy genre can be a little vague at times, because it can be applied to so many different types of gameplay. Jagged Alliance 2 is nothing like Civ (outside of being turn-based), but if you don't have an aversion to old games I'd recommend checking it out as well. It's pretty fantastic.

Yeah; I'm just so burnt out on shooters. My friends keep edging me on to get the Warhammer games - played the demo for wh 40k dow2; wasn't sold on it. Thanks for your input :p

Alright, I have a question about virus protection programs: About a week ago my brother gave me his laptop that had Kaspersky anti-virus downloaded on the computer but its subscription ran out by the time I got it. So, I decided to download Avast and my computer worked fine (note that I didn't uninstall Kaspersky). Well, after I closed my computer and opened it back up, everything was going EXTREMELY slow to the point where nothing would happen for minutes. I put the computer in safe mode and restored my computer to the date before I downloaded Avast, and now everything is okay again.

So, my question is this: Did having two anti-virus programs cause the problems, even though Kaspersky's subscription was out? Since then I've uninstalled Kaspersky but I'm nervous as hell about downloading a new anti-virus program.

Yeah, antivirus programs will tend to fight if you let them both in at the same time. I wouldn't have figured that you'd have that much trouble with one of them disabled, though. Regardless, it's a bad idea to have more than one.

Personally, I'd recommend Microsoft Security Essentials. Works great. Light weight. Doesn't hassle you. It's the only antivirus software that's not worse than a virus if you ask me.

How many state does the US have, actually? I always thought it was 52, but now I hear people saying its 50. what? (also the HBO site won't let me watch clips because I "don't live in one of the 50 states of the US". does that mean people in Alaska can't watch HBO either?)

(I am not American :p don't hate me for being an idiot)

Just 50, but we're always looking for fresh, new recruits.

50 states. Alaska is one of the 50.

this sounds really stupid but.... my friend said that if you drain the liquid out of those maruchan ramen noodles you'll get rid of most of the sodium.. any truth to that??

The broth does contain quite a bit of sodium, just like those bullion cubes you buy to make broth. 1 cube + 1 cup water = 800 mg sodium. So I imagine it's true.

I wanna buy a camera (1500 USD) on Amazon, but my CC doesn't have limit for it. Is it possible to split into two cards?

Or if I buy a 1200 USD gift card with one credit card and a 300 USD gift card with another, will I be able to reedem the two cards into one account and then use the credit to buy the camera?
You can buy one of the gift cards, use it on your account, and then just use the other CC when you checkout the camera.

Anybody know how to actually report a bug to facebook? I tried using the form in their help center, but keep getting automated email responses.

I really know nothing about golf and my attempt at googling the answer didn't yield anything.

How many golfers make it from the first round of the U.S Open to the second? A kid I went to grade school with made it to the first round so I'm vaguely interested in seeing how he does.

Can you put a letter with an express stamp (4.95$) in one of those normal blue mailboxes? Do you have to take those letters directly to the post office?

I want to say 64 off the top of my head but that may be completely wrong.

Why do people like it when sites let you resize video players to make them bigger? Like Youtube's "expand" button or Giant Bomb's new "embiggen" button. Why don't they just use the fullscreen button instead? It's just bizarre to me because when I want the screen large, I want it fullscreen, not just "expanded," and when I don't want it fullscreen, I want to see the extra info you see on the sides of the video like "related videos" and the video description without having to scroll down from the video like you do when it's expanded.

And it shocks me because this must be an especially sought after feature people want since Giant Bomb went so far as to make this feature exclusive to paying subscribers.

what goes in to making 'better' cgi/special effects in films? what is the difference between the effort and technique put into good effects and bad effects?

A few people vs a building of people, different skillsets and people working on just one thing, like particles, etc...
