Basically, though personally I would say the treble range is more around 6k and up. 1k-3k or so I consider more vocal and upper-end guitar. Boosting those makes music sound messy to me.

I received Lego Pirates of the Caribbean from Amazon out of the blue today. I wasn't charged for it, and after talking to customer service they suggested it could have been a gift. I truly have no idea who would send me this game, which brings me to my query:

Is there a way to exchange this game for another sans receipt?

Because it's essentially a search for your username, and search has been disabled. Use subscriptions instead, under "edit options" in your User CP.
 
Doesn't financial "conservatism" - in the sense that it wants the free market to be allowed to come to equilibria without government interference - go naturally hand-in-hand with social "liberalism" (legalising drugs, marriage being whatever people want it to be), rather than the god-fearing, conservative, and ultimately prescriptive crowd that it usually associates with?

If my Dad left some of his guns in my apartment (he's gone overseas for a while), would it be legal for me to keep one out as protection? Maryland here has castle law, so I would be in the clear to protect myself, but I wouldn't really want to get in trouble for using the gun in the first place!

I live in Florida, and not too long ago the police informed my girlfriend that leaving notes on cars can be a bad idea because if the windshield wiper becomes broken (even if you didn't do it), the person can sue you for destruction of personal property. The officer didn't say it was illegal, though. But of course laws vary area to area so who knows.

Does anyone here know where I can find the FULL OST of the Sailor Moon English Dub (DiC)? I have checked Galbadia Hotel and Sailor Music as well as looking up lists of all released CDs and as far as I can tell besides the existing English soundtracks (which contain just a few character themes as well as all the songs with vocals) nothing else seems to exist. There are a few themes, from Sailor Moon R particularly, that I would LOVE to have in full and in MP3 format.

Someone plastered a full 8.5x11 sheet of paper on my window with transparent tape to tell me to park closer to the driveway so there was room for another car to squeeze in. I didn't appreciate that at all but never occurred to me that it might be illegal.

Hey, I appreciate the help, but the ones here are all the Japanese OSTs which are highly available online. The ones I'm looking for are the background tracks to the English episodes (I know Sailor Moon S and onwards stuck to the Japanese tracks, but for R and previous the songs are original to the dub). Again, not the songs off the one limited official release the English music had. I'll have to keep searching!

It's an online cloud drive you sign up for, 2GB is free. You can also access your Dropbox from a web browser or, better yet, install the Dropbox application and it will create a folder on your computer that will automatically stay synced with your online Dropbox.

Since you can sync it with multiple computers it's a good way to keep your files on the cloud so you can access them from say... your desktop and your laptop. There's a Dropbox app for iPhone/Android which is really good so you can access your files on your phone, you can download a Chrome extension to save files directly from your internet to your dropbox cloud drive, you can use DropTunes to listen to your music on your cloud drive from any web browser, etc. It's basically a really well supported online storage system that's both free and can sync with your computer automatically.

Edit: For example, I'm out on the town take a picture with my phone and press the Share to Dropbox button - later that night I get home and the picture is already on my laptop. Similarly I'm working on a document right now at the office, I can save it to my dropbox folder if I want to continue at home and I'm done - no emailing it back and forth or putting it on a flash drive.
 
I know it may have been covered before but what is up with the avatars that have morphed into a snout having animal? I wish I could describe better but thats why im confused. Looks like a hippo? Two holes for noses? Face is superimposed on other figures?

Gaf, help me with my local network problem! I just bought a wireless router and I can't get the modem to link up with it. The connection status keeps saying "local only"! What do I do?

edit: the OS is Vista, btw.

If it's red blood it's probably just a fissure or hemorrhoid or something. Something that is treatable/will go away/not so serious. If it were blackish, dried blood you would have a real problem.
 
I'm interested in buying a netbook or a laptop now that my pc died. I don't use it for gaming, but will be using it to stream Netflix and Hulu. Will most netbooks be able to stream video or should I go the laptop route?

Just don't want to spend more than I need to for basic use.

they'll all be able to stream netflix. streaming it in HD is a different story. The netbook I have cost like $350 (was on sale, regular price was $450 - $550, cant remember) and it can stream netflix in HD and play HD blu-ray rips. The only thing it has trouble with is streaming youtube in HD

Hey GAF, I am curious about the quality of the show Fringe. I have had it recommended to me several times, but I'm still not sure. I am a big fan of JJ Abrams, but only in part.

I loved:
Cloverfield
LOST
Super 8

I hated:
The new Star Trek movie

Music is important to me in something like Fringe. I have seen that Michael Giachinno does the music for the series, and I really enjoy his work for the most part. How does the music in Fringe compare to something like LOST? (Which, imo, has an amazing soundtrack)

So, would I enjoy Fringe?
 
check out the viewing angles before you buying a netbook for movies, maybe more expensive models have better screens, had my Acer a couple of years and it's terrible.

edit: of course if you are plugging it into a TV then forget what I just said.
 
Quick answer please, im going to ibiza soon and im making t-shirts for everyone. Im stuck with what to put on one persons t-shirt. Hes hairy, cheated on his ex, thinks hes a player, long distance runner and a prison officer if that helps. I just need something short, sweet, self loathing and funny. Thanks.

Yes im a bad friend for not being able to think of one myself.
