What are some credible current event websites you guys follow? I need some for a homework assignment. Any help appreciated.

If I were to tell you "everything I say is a lie", would I be contradicting myself by being truthful about my lying, or would I in fact be telling another lie by claiming I'm a liar while telling the truth?

The latter.

It's impossible to have EVERYTHING you say be a lie if you ever admit that.

Always. Its weird it toasts the left side and bottom well, then the right side and top aren't so well done. Guess I just need a new toaster.

the coils in toasters are like lightbulbs, they burn out unevenly, if it bugs you that much buy a new toaster.

I believe that might qualify as a Liar's Paradox.

Dentistry question -

Everyone knows that at some point they will probably need to get their wisdom teeth surgically removed because there isn't room for them to come in properly. Evolutionarily speaking, I've heard that back in the day, when we didn't have modern dentistry, people's back molars would rot/fall out rather quickly, and so around the time that happened, you'd have a new set coming in right behind them, what we today call wisdom teeth. Now that we have better oral hygiene, our teeth don't go bad so quickly, and so the wisdom teeth have no where to go.

My question is - if they have to remove teeth because there isn't any room, why don't they remove the old molars that are already there and then let the wisdom teeth come in, instead of removing the wisdom teeth?

It seems like a waste to get rid of a new set of perfectly healthy teeth and keep the old, used up ones that are surely in worse condition from years of use and exposure. Is there some reason why they can't do it this way?

Ok, this is really embarresing. Is the girl in THIS video (with the brown hair and green dress), is that Shakira, or an actress lip syncing to the song? I honestley can not tell. But if that is Shakria, she looks absolutely fucking amazing with dark hair.

There would be a space between your wisdom teeth and your other molars if you removed one molar, and your other teeth would shift over time as a result. Then you would need braces (again?). Your wisdom teeth wouldn't grow into the same spot another tooth was once in.

not everyone's wisdom teeth grow in perfectly. Often times, even when there's space for them to grow, the wisdom teeth will grow completely horizontal. If these teeth aren't pulled out, they will just damage the rest of the teeth while remaining completely useless.

That is definitely Shakira. You're right, she looks pretty good as a brunette. Though she isn't exactly hard on the eyes as a blonde either.

OK, Im currently doing 2nd year med. But I am unhappy in the country I'm in. So I applied to a different Uni for med. I just got the rejection letter after months of hoping of going somewhere else. Now I have this dizzy heavy/light alternating feeling in my head that you always get with shock and disappointment.
What causes it (physiologically)?

Why was the Brit-GAF thread locked?

Don't know, I liked it there though. Will PM a mod and ask if we can create a new one.

Most likely anxiety and stress, causing a change in blood pressure.

Gaf, I need a favour that should be easy to do, but would be huuuge for me.

I need someone to scale those proportion charts for me, several times each, so that I can simply hit "print them on DINA4 paper" and they´ll come out in the correct size. I lack any form of photo editing software AND any kind of clue how I´d do it.

I need each version in the following sizes

-28 milimetres to the eyes

-30 milimetres to the eyes

-54 milimetres to the eyes

-68 mm to the eyes

-one cm in total height

If you could arrange them each (male/female) on a single virtual "sheet", that´d be even better.

I need them to better sculpt humans for my art, err, tabletop miniatures.

As a reward I´ll suck your virtual cock, send you a funny cat picture or just offer my eternal gratitude.

My Thunderbird 6.02 seems to block (sometimes) attachments - they show up in webmail but not in Thunderbird. It only does this for one e-mail account and not for the others and I can't find anything about it in the preferences.

Meebo IM for instant messaging. There might be something better, but 3G Watchdog (Free or Pro) to watch your data usage. Also, Amazon's Android store has a free app every day.

And not an app, but have the default power control widget on your home screen because you want all of those things off when you don't need them. They just inhale battery.

They've changed the way attachments are handled in Thunderbird 6. Either downgrade to 3.X or wait for 8.0.

I'm surprised people still use Thunderbird, especially with issues such as that - from experience Mail (Mac) and Windows Live Mail (Windows) are far superior, especially in terms of simplicity and ease of use.

Thunderbird has a lot of issues, but many still find the add-ons useful.

Does anyone know how to check you AT&T bill online? I don't have that account they set you up with to pay your bills online yet because I forgot about it and can't find the email.

I have no password so it's useless to me. Was hoping I could see my bill somehow without having to call and go through some long process.

How do you expect to see personal information without logging in or anything. Register/call or whatever, it's not hard labor.

Was hoping to just see my next billing day without having to register because I wanted to check it quickly. I already found out how and is much faster than registering and logging in every time.

I already set up an account, so thanks I guess.

What's the correct spelling of damnit/goddamnit? I've seen it spelled different ways.
Damn
Dammit
Although "dammit" doesn't work well if you try to use it in place of "damn it all to hell," for example.

Not too sure on how it goes with "god dammit," but I usually add the space.

God damn it.

The other way is more of a colloquial spelling, and I've seen it several ways. Goddam it. Goddamn it. Goddammit. Goddamnit. God dammit.

None of those is necessarily correct, but I'm partial to Goddamn it.

Damn, I was hoping for mass bannings, at least. How disappointing.

Well there were two or three people banned because they didn't know how to read.

It's 'damn it' or 'dammit', not 'damnit', and 'God damn it' is technically correct. But apart from writing formally, it's not particularly important because it's emulating colloquial speech anyway.

What happened to the celebrity phone hacking thread? Mila Kunis is apparently the latest victim and she had pics of Justin Timberlake on her phone too.
