You need to scout early in each match with an SCV. If you don't see his first pylon when scouting he is trying to cannon rush or proxy you. When you see this you need to build an early barracks and have your first marine and a couple SCVs kill the cannon as it's being warped in. Alternately you might be able to just kill his probe as he enters your base area with all of your SCVs but that only works if he sucks at micro.McNei1y said:SC2 game related...
How in the hell do I stop a cannon rush. It is the stupidest move in the whole game. No skill involved what soever. I'm terran.

yeah, iv had no problems with it and it never hurts...theres also no discoloration or anything like that. im just scared that its slowly poisoning me or something :lolMaklershed said:I would say any foreign object lodged in the body would be damaging and dangerous. Having said that, google says bb pellets tend to be steel with a copper coating.

Halp.
Garfunkel had a good voice, but I would have to say Simon. He has good solo albums.Snuggler said:Who do you like more, Simon or Garfunkel?

Just something I thought about while taking a dump the other day.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Food_energy#Energy_usage_in_the_human_body said:The human body uses the energy released by respiration for a wide range of purposes: about twenty percent of the energy is used for brain metabolism, and much of the rest is used for the basal metabolic requirements of other organs and tissues. In cold environments, metabolism may increase simply to produce heat to maintain body temperature. Among the diverse uses for energy, one is the production of mechanical energy by skeletal muscle in order to maintain posture and produce motion.
The conversion efficiency of energy from respiration into mechanical (physical) power depends on the type of food and on the type of physical energy usage (e.g. which muscles are used, whether the muscle is used aerobically or anaerobically). In general, the efficiency of muscles is rather low: only 18 to 26 percent of the energy available from respiration is converted into mechanical energy.[10] This low efficiency is the result of about 40% efficiency of generating ATP from food energy, losses in converting energy from ATP into mechanical work inside the muscle, and mechanical losses inside the body. The latter two losses are dependent on the type of exercise and the type of muscle fibers being used (fast-twitch or slow-twitch). For an overall efficiency of 20 percent, one watt of mechanical power is equivalent to 4.3 kcal per hour. For example, a manufacturer of rowing equipment shows calories released from 'burning' food as four times the actual mechanical work, plus 300 kcal per hour,[11] which amounts to about 20 percent efficiency at 250 watts of mechanical output. It can take up to 20 hours of little physical output (e.g. walking) to "burn off" 4000 kcal [12] (i.e. fuel) more than a body would otherwise have.
The differing energy density of foods (fat, alcohols, carbohydrates and proteins) lies in their varying proportions of oxidizable carbon atoms. Release of energy from food follows transfer of electrons from carbon and hydrogen to carbon dioxide and water. [13]
Swings in body temperature either hotter or cooler increase the metabolic rate, thus burning more energy. Prolonged exposure to extremely warm or very cold environments increases the basal metabolic rate (BMR). People who live in these types of settings often have BMRs that are 520% higher than those in other climates. Physical activity also significantly increases body temperature, which in turn uses more energy from respiration.[14]

Thanks for the reply. And yeah, you're probably right. I'll probably go back to the Linus one or the Joanna Newsom one soon.Snuggler said:Don't think so, this is the first time I've seen that image. You're good to go.

I tend to visit my parents at least once a week to do laundry because I don't have a washing machine. Anyway, I can't play any games online there because my parents' networks' NAT type is not open. I have no idea what NAT is or how to make it open. Any help would be apreciated.

Well, I guess it depends on the scenario. For instance, if it happens in real life where a friend will tell me to say hi to someone I know, I'll deliver their hello. If it's online...chances are no.smurfx said:i have a question for you gaf. when somebody asks you to tell somebody hello for them do you ever actually follow through? i don't think i have ever followed through. am i the only one?
