I've latey been wishing for a browser extension with a certain behavior. Though a few searches haven't found anything like it, I figure I might as well toss it out there in case there's something I'm missing.

OK, so I have a HTC Hero with a CFW of Android 2.2 on a contract that ends in September. I've been playing and tweaking with it since day 1 but I'm getting bored with it now.
2ndly, Rather than take out a contract, I want to buy a PAYG phone as I hardly use any minutes/texts and so on. I also carry around with me a 1st gen iPod Touch that I use everyday.
Do I :
1) Buy an iPhone 4, sell later on for the latest model each year. Sell the Hero and iPod Touch and use the money from them for any top-ups. Put up with the boring looking UI. And IMO have access to better apps and games.
2) Carry on with Android, go for something like the HTC Sensation and keep the 1st gen iPod with me, stick with the same but better looking UI with widgets and customisation. And IMO, have better connectivity with everything in my Google account.

That said, he's basically cutting them out in photoshop and then applying some neat filters and learned techniques, then selling them for $150 a pop (printing to canvas is actually expensive).
Regardless, what's the legal boundary here? Is this guy breaking the law? Is he too small of an operation to matter? Does this fall under pop art, and is that enough to protect him from getting his ass sued?
