Why is that?

Why is that?
When you wake up, do you have the urge to go to the bathroom (even if, when you go, not much comes out)?Sgt.Pepper said:Ok, something weird is happening. I'm waking up everyday (even on weekends) at 4:30 AM for some reason, and I have trouble trying to sleep again.
Then maybe it's just a movie thing? For example is it clearly shown in the Matrix movies;Maklershed said:That's definitely not true. On my house door the top lock does indeed point up but the bottom one points down. On a few lock boxes I have they all point down. On my car they point down. Actually the only place I can think of where I use a key pointing up is for a house door bar lock like in the picture above.
Yes. I don't know what's going on, really.Decom said:When you wake up, do you have the urge to go to the bathroom (even if, when you go, not much comes out)?
I've had locks that "face" down, and others that "face" up. I always assumed that one of the two ways was wrong, just installed upside down, but I never knew which way was "right. However I always thought the key was supposed to go up, because in Oblivion, aren't the tumblers in the top? Other games too, I think.stuff about locks
This happens to me sometimes. Maybe: http://www.livescience.com/12891-natural-sleep.htmlSgt.Pepper said:Ok, something weird is happening. I'm waking up everyday (even on weekends) at 4:30 AM for some reason, and I have trouble trying to sleep again.
What can cause this?? I really hate the feeling I get when I wake up, I feel very awake yet tired at the same time.
Maybe you're eating a lot before going to bed. If you do that although you used not to, you'll experience disturbances in your sleep pattern.Sgt.Pepper said:Ok, something weird is happening. People is referring to a group as a whole, whereas persons is specifically referring to each individual. I think it's really only used formally because the difference is subtle.alehousedave said:What is the point of saying "persons" instead of "people" in a sentence?
Decom said:As others have said, one reason is so that Facebook can track what links people are clicking on. They use this for overall statistics, but also to tailor your newsfeed to your personal likes.
Another reason they do this is to try and stop malware sites from spreading links through Facebook. This way, if Facebook is alerted that a link is malicious, it is really easy to stop people from visiting it.
Thanks guys!XMonkey said:Possibly helps people track referring links so if you ran Nyan.cat you would know people visited from Facebook. Not sure if you can track this regardless of the actual link text, though.
Reinstall VLC, and check teh option to delete everything from all your previous installs. Your preferences are messed up, as it should not be doing that.web01 said:Yes thats how it used to look for me.
Nup when I click that it brings up the playlist view as a seperate new window. So if I do that I have the artwork view open with the play pause timeline etc controls at the bottom and then also a playlist in a seperate window without any controls.
And if i close the album play view VLC closes down completely.

I'm well past due for something new, I feel like a grandma. All I ever used it for was to browse the internet and listen to music. And to stream games and what not to my TV.
But I can't even hook up a wireless internet connection with my current PC. And I have a VGA to HDMI cable so it would be nice if I just had a computer with an HDMI out. Any advice? Don't laugh please.

So far running like a champ. Has HDMI out, space for up to 8GB of ram, and with the appropriate Low-Profile Video Card would be a half-decent gaming PC.

BTW I had seen that thread. I just figured for how crappy I was looking for it would be the wrong place. But I definitely don't wanna put any new hardware into what I have now - that ship has sailed.
Ok, since that is the case, here is what works for me:Sgt.Pepper said:Yes. I don't know what's going on, really.
Orellio said:Fair enough. For lower budgets building a PC isn't entirely viable. That PC AbsoluteZero posted seems good for your needs. It seems PC gaming isn't high on your priority list, but I know a GAFer who bought a PC like that from Wal-Mart (I think his is an AMD X4, however), dropped a $150 video card into it and is able to play any game he wants.

tc farks said:Yeah that would be perfect. And no, PC gaming isn't high as of now. Its something I'd like to do. If I could play some CS and Amnesia that would be great. But really any improvement will do, so I'd like to keep it as cheap as possible for now.
AbsoluteZero said:Counterstrike might actually play really damn well on the integrated chip that's in there due to its age, but Amnesia is a bit more of a stretch.
tc farks said:Concerning Amnesia: Are you talking about the way it would be now or after I added a low end ~$150 card. I'm assuming chip means processor which means its pretty limited to how far a future video card could take it? It would be shortsighted of me to bar myself from some capable video gaming down the line. But I also don't want to go above $400, so that's what I have to deal with.

This is the opposite of a stupid question. I have no answer besides 'stupid people'.Corky said:Why do people think Jesus was a white, blue eyed person living in the first century middle east?
Orellio said:I'm sure he means now, with the included graphics processor, which are notoriously below par. After that $150 video card upgrade you could play pretty much any game at or above console level. The dual core CPU would hold you back on a few games like GTA4 and Bad Company 2 however.

For me, yes. I have noticed, over the past few years, that it seems to go in "cycles" between slow and fast/unnoticeable. It seems to switch every couple of months.Gouty said:Have Youtube speeds gone absolutely down the shitter for around the last month or so for anyone else?
Each tab is treated as its own process. This is done so that a crash in one tab won't affect the others. It also (slightly) helps with security.Slizz said:Can anyone tell me why when I open Chrome it starts like 8 processes in my task manager?

But I only had one tab open when I took the screenshot, does it just automatically do that expecting tabs?Decom said:Each tab is treated as its own process. This is done so that a crash in one tab won't affect the others. It also (slightly) helps with security.

Thanks for the answer too.

Do Shift+Esc to see Chrome's task manager.
Do you have any extensions? Those also exist as separate processes under Task Manager.Slizz said:But I only had one tab open when I took the screenshot, does it just automatically do that expecting tabs?
