So, after getting through 150 episodes or so and stopping, I decided to try to get through the rest of Naruto on Hulu and then move on to Shippuden.

I think I'm up through 172 or so? Man...there's nothing important going on, at all. Anko just found some of her old memories and that's been about the only important thing for a long time now. That still left me pretty blah about everything though. Also the animation quality is getting worse and worse. Are these both trends I can expect to continue for awhile or is either one of those two things going to get better?

look up naruto/naruto shippuden filler episodes on google..skip filler you dont need to watch any of that shit.. or read the manga..contrary to popular belief my favorite anime is naruto..Im just a huge fan of mello from deathnote..

Anyone know this game?

Ughh, there is this really Artsy flash game. Where all you do is control a stickman with a gun, escorting another stickman into the middle of the desert. Some cheesy music plays and at the end you can shoot him or not. And it's about some slaughter that happened and it's a commentary on that.

But my google searches are turning up nothing! I'm trying to show my pretentious friend! Any help would be great.

The Killer?

So there are these small cable holder kind of things that come with most USB/HDMI and other electronic cables. (Also with adapters). Does anyone know what they are called?

They are basically a thin metal wire with a plastic sheath that can be twisted easily.

Do you just mean twist ties?

Well I don't think this is a stupid question and it may deserve an individual thread, but alas I can't post it.
Could someone repost for me?

I'm relocating across the country from NC to CA. What advice do you have?

Details:
-I will be driving with someone else over ~5 days. That's negotiable since I'm not sure how much time we will need each day or how far we will want to drive.
-I don't have very much that needs to go across. The furniture I have I'm getting rid of. What I do have is a lot of electronics: desktop and 24" monitor; ps3 and ~20 games; about 50 DVDs/blurays; 55" LCD TV; receiver; 5.1 surround system; a few books; and miscellaneous smaller items
-My employer is going to give $3k for relocation. I'm hoping that will cover hotels and gas for the trip over as well as shipping costs.
-I'm thinking of shipping almost all of the above via UPS (?) and then carrying a few things in the car with us. I have no experience with shipping large items (ie tv/computer) so I don't know how I should go about that - obviously I need insurance and proper packaging. Which postal services should I use?
-I have gotten rid of a lot of things that just don't seem worth bringing over. The few belongings I have remaining I would like to keep.

Here are a few rough itineraries we've plotted to get an estimate of driving times and destinations. The 5-6 day one is probably most likely, however I have very little experience with long trips and driving.

4-5 day trip
greensboro to memphis, tn -674 miles -10.4 hours
memphis to amarillo, tx -724 miles -11.1 hours
amarillo to flagstaff, az -608 miles -9.4 hours
flagstaff to la -468 miles -7.2 hours

5-6 day trip
greensboro to jackson tn -594 miles -9.1 hours
jackson tn to oklahoma city ok -555 miles -8.5 hours
ok to albuquerque nm -543 miles 8.4 hours
albuquerque to flagstaff -322 miles -5.0 hours
flagstaff to la -468 miles -7.2 hours

6-7 day trip
greensboro to nashville -464 miles -7.1 hours
nashville to fort smith, ar -498 miles -7.7 hours
fort smith to amarillo, tx -441 miles -6.8 hours
amarillo to albuquerque -288 miles -4.4 hours
albuquerque to flagstaff -322 miles -5.0 hours
flagstaff to la -468 miles -7.2 hours

What are your thoughts? Have you had experience with moving across country, shipping large personal items, or have any valuable input?

What is the meaning of bomba?

I've seen it used both positively and negatively. If it means both, then what the hell is the point of using a word that means something AND its opposite??

Bomba is when a game just fucking tanks in terms of sales. Quality might be great, sales were just terrible. Not sure when the "a" was added in bomb.

Bomba is usually negative. No game wants to be a bomba.

It can be positive when a game is a bomba because that probably means it will drop in price soon.

Yes! Thank You!

All afternoon I kept searching for cable ties, cable holders, etc on google.
You're welcome!

Cable ties are named after a sturdier use.

I'm so glad I know all this useless information.

Is youtube not working for anyone else? I get no video or audio, just a a black rectangle.
This just started happening to me with Chrome, but I haven't checked Firefox yet.

Try putting "https://" in front of the url. That did the trick for me. I have no clue why it won't work without it, since it was working fine for me until today.

Do planes dump piss and shit into the sea? I could have sworn they did.

They don't. Imagine dumping a shit, that get frozen due to the low temperature in high altitude. Then imagine a frozen dump, falling 10 000 feet. Imagine the mess of such a thing if it was hitting a deck of a boat.

I've been watching Penn&Teller: Fool Us and I was wondering. Why is everyone always so happy to go infront of thousands of people to help with a magic act? Usually the reason is that the audience member is in on the trick and isn't really random, but even on shows where the person is clearly not a friend of the magician, the first person who gets picked is ALWAYS willing to help. Why haven't they ever picked anyone who has awful stage fright and doesn't want to do it? Do potentially willing participants get a special "Pick me" braceles before they sit down or something?

The no-not-me people are either edited out of the show, or it's one of the conditions of watching it being filmed.

Have you considered renting a U-Haul?

Question:

How do wireless headphones work for consoles? Do I hook them into the audio out on my tv, or is it through the 360 or ps3 individually? I don't need them to be a headset or anything just headphones. Also are there any recommendation's for some cheap but fairly good ones for like say $20-$40?

I always thought you could only do "Cash Back" at a register if you were using a debit card.

Can you use a credit card and do cash back? if so.. what does it do, just post it as a normal credit transcation?

I've done a cash advance once before w/ a credit card, but there was a ~$10 fee and I'm wondering if this is a way around that.

I have a portable harddrive with 200gbs of music, and another 150 gbs of movie / tv / pictures on it, I'm scared of the HDD crashing is there somewhere online I can upload all this stuff, and if so what is the pricing like?

Anywhere you upload that kind of stuff online will have recurring charges, and with that much data the price will be very very high. Better to just buy an external terabyte HDD, back up your stuff, and then put the drive away in a safe or wherever it can be kept safe and away from lots of heat to only be taken out when you want to back stuff up.

But if you really want to put it online look into getting a VPN server

Yea I guess so eh, I've already had one HDD die on me, and I don't want that to happen again, guess ill just go buy another one with lots of space, theyre getting pretty cheap now anyways.

Is there some sort of commonly-used Japanese phrase that typically gets translated into "look forward to it" or "please look forward to it"? If so, what is it? I'm just curious... I swear that it comes up in half of the things that I ever see translated/dubbed.

Probably "[douzo] yoroshiku [onegai [shimasu]]"

How do you become a member of neogaf as opposed to a junior member?
Why do some people have things wrote underneath their screen names?
Why doesn't the "Find all posts by X/ Find all threads started by X" work?

1) 300 posts and registered for 90 days.
2) They're tags, and they're earned for doing something notable (foolish or otherwise) and are handed out at an admin's discretion.
3) The search function doesn't work for anyone. EviLore is planning on fixing that in the near future.

Ok so putting this in this thread will probably come back to bite me but I have to ask.

STUPID QUESTION IS: Will this work? And yes it is a true story

I've got this cause thing goin on and I'm wondering if anyone is going to care in the real world. I figured NeoGaf would be a good test run of the real world. Of course probably wont be that great of a test run because its only a post and I'm too new in posts to make a thread, but here goes.

My Cause

... I guess titled. "Deploying soldier raising Japan relief funds for wife's dream concert"

My fund raising page is
http://www.give2gether.com/projects/music-for-relief.midramble/

This is my story on that page.

"Please help me fulfill my wifes dream while helping Japan.

AKA sob story of a divorced unemployed soldier trying to give his wife something before he deploys to Afghan.

(I realize that this will probably sound too dramatic to be true. I also wish there was a way that I could prove the authenticity of my situation; however, I don't see a way yet. I must leave my fate to the whim of your belief. I pray you do.)

Not sure where to start, but here I go. My wife loves Linkin Park more than any band that has ever been. Her father always promised to take her but he's never been able to deliver on that promise. I've been with my wife for 6 years and I love her more than anything. I also promised to one day take her to a Linkin Park concert and 5 months ago when they came to San Jose I almost did; however, money wouldn't allow. Around that time I left my job to try to work on other financial opportunities so that I could move my wife back into the city like she wanted. The whole thing backfired. Times got so hard that I became frustrated and selfish all the time. Sadly so much to the point that my wife left me. Five months later, about the last couple of weeks after a lot of self change and finding out that I am getting deployed to Afghanistan in November, my wife has finally decided to trust me again and come back. I wish you guys knew us and knew how great this is. In that five months guys have been real nice to her and bought her gifts and things that show they care. I've been unemployed for the last 5 months (just started working again this week) and I have no money. I even have to borrow money to get to my new job. I can't even afford to visit my wife. I'd been searching for a gift that I could give my wife to show her how much I love her to welcome her back. Then I saw the Linkin Park concert, something she's dreamed about since she was a kid and has eluded her all this time... Then I saw it was $500 a ticket pair...

Don't get me wrong. This isn't what I need to bring her back. She has come back. I just want to be able to show her how much I love her by giving her this before I deploy.

This is my chance to fulfill that promise I gave my wife so long ago. This is my chance to prove that even when times are hard, even when I have nothing, even when I'm outmatched, outgunned, and too late, I will never stop fighting for my wifes happiness. I have to now be humble enough to come to you people for help because I can not do this alone. I probably wont be able to go to the concert because I'll have some pre-deployment training to go to around the time of the show but I have to do this for her. I have to give her what no one else has been able to give her.

If you can or care, please help me spread the word.

(If you are able to figure out who I am, please don't tell my wife. I really want to surprise her. Please Please don't ruin this for her.)

Though there will never be enough words to show my gratitude... Thank you. "

I don't understand how a game of classic Bejeweled ends. Is there an arbitrary limit to the number of moves you have or when it says "NO MORE MOVES" does it actually mean there aren't any more moves to be made?

From what I remember, yes, it means you literally have no more moves to make.

I don't think it'll work here because I believe I've seen stuff like this removed/locked/banned before, so assuming it's not allowed. Good luck to you though.

Thanks for the honest insight. I hope It doesn't get shut down. I mean the goal is to be heard. Got to admit that's pretty hard to do. Is there a mod around that could let me know if my post is inappropriate? I don't want ot bother anyone... But this time I just can't give up... I can't.

I was using my IsoFlex Stress Ball...

60492-1.jpg

...today when suddenly I got the urge to bite it. I was watching a movie and wasn't really even paying attention to what I was doing, and so I kind of just lightly bit into it, and it popped and the powder inside got all over my face and inside my mouth. I washed most of it out but I know I swallowed a tiny (TINY) amount and and I can still feel it when I grind my teeth (despite brushing and washing for about five minutes).

The powder is definitely not sand or baking powder, and it looks artificial. Could this potentially be dangerous?

Yahoo Answers:
my son grabbed a isoflex stress ball and bit it open and some got into his mouth is this toxic? we gave him milk right away just in case.

Additional Details
We called poison control right after this was posted...and they said it's non toxic. thanks!
Another answer:
The stress balls often contain glass microbeads also called silica beads which should be inert as they pass through the system.
There is potential for instestinal obstruction if they can't pass easily through the system.
If the beads have any sharpness to them or if they act like grit on the intestinal system there is some potential for intestinal irritation too.
But if they are silica microbeads they shouldn't be toxic. I cannot find anything online stating if the beads are silica in this product though that is the common filler.

Sounds to me like you should be fine!

Thank you so much. I've been seriously worrying about this for about an hour and couldn't find anything online. How you manged to find that in a matter of minutes I'll never know (I even searched Yahoo Answers!).

Depends on the size of the image.

Question. So, I have lots of duplicate files on my PC. Does anyone know of a program for finding and deleting duplicates?

Can someone find me the YouTube video where the woman is like, "Man is arrested for having more pussy than he can handle?" There was a topic on it awhile back.

why does my house shake? It feels like a weak earthquake for a couple seconds, yet we don't have earthquakes here. There's lots of home construction going on around here (a couple houses down, and basically throughout the entire neighbourhood) so I thought maybe it was a big construction truck driving by, but that's not it. It's not wind, either. Sometimes the shaking lasts longer and is stronger than other times but it's never strong enough to actually shake anything in the house except for a couple weak lamps I have

nope, I don't. They're not doing any blasting or drilling in any of the construction, either. The only thing they do in the ground is dig holes for foundations
