Are you sure one of those dealers doesn't sell/service Kias? A lot of dealerships are named one brand but deal with several makes. For example, the Dodge dealership near my house sells Kias.

Hi Gaf,

Can someone recommend a free and easy to use 8-bit/16-bit composing Software?

Something like Org Maker would be sufficient; problem is this tool isn't well supported or used by many.

Some of the others I've considered are Mario Paint and SunVox, however the former has very limited sound effects to choose from and the latter seems a bit too complicated.

lol np. and the "commerce de france" or even the "Franc" part should have given the middle one away. The first one is kinda hard but even then, it says "penny" (canada/US) and has the queen on it and since the US doesn't have a queen, it's canada.

I think that depends on the privacy settings of the person making the post/tagging you. If their settings are lax, then everyone who can see your wall should be able to see it. But they might just have it set to "friends," so only your common friends would see it.

Is there name or term for that instance where you see something really gross and/or disturbing looking and you start to feel really itchy for some reason?

I'm sure a number of people here know what i'm talking about, so i'm just if there's an exact name for it.
 
Can you still post in color on gaf? I got a fellow forum friend trying to make a thread and wants to do color. He can't do it though with the regular text markup doesn't seem to work anymore...

I can't post new threads as I'm a junior, so I thought I would ask this question here.

I've never played any Metal Gear games (except for Metal Gear for NES, and only briefly a very long time ago).

I'm interested in trying this series out. Is it worthwhile playing this in chronological order? That is, start with Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and then work my way to Metal Gear Solid 4.

Is this a dumb idea? I have a psp, so I could easily pick up MGS Portable OPS and MGS Peacewalker.

Probably easier to easier to follow if you play it in the order it was released. The later ones build on inside jokes from the earlier ones.

Ah ok, thanks very much. I wondered if the games make reference somehow to ones released earlier.

Wasn't sure if Kojima was kind of a post-modernist or what - as I haven't ever played this series.

I know that. After you get the pictures and descriptions up it asks for shipping costs though. I have no clue how much a bike costs to ship. Am I supposed to take a bike to the USPS to find out how much shipping is before posting it on ebay?

We can't peddle our ebay gaming wares on here, right? If we can I have a Metroid Prime, FF7, and Chrono Trigger soundtrack that I'm trying to get rid of.
 
If you were planning to fly to a family members wedding but then the week before the wedding your cousin dies and the wedding gets postponed 6 weeks, would it be possible to get the ticket change fee waived? I know they waive the fee when a member of your family dies but this is a bit different.
 
I added somebody to Facebook a couple of days ago, but I noticed yesterday that she's not on my friends list anymore. My first assumption was that she had removed me, but looking at the page for the event we both attended, she's no longer displayed on the invite list at all, which is how I previously found and added her.

She had "liked" something I said on her wall not too long ago, and when I looked up that on my notifications, it said "Facebook User likes this", and clicking on the link just showed a generic page with no info a a default silhouette for the profile picture.

Now I can't even find that, and looking at my notifications for when she accepted my friend request, I don't even see "Facebook User" anymore. It just says "accepted your friend request". There's no name or anything.

Basically, I can't find any record of her, but normally when somebody blocks you, you'd still be able to find them again, right?

Has she deactivated her profile, or is Facebook acting screwy?

My dvd burner apparently died completely random last night. Win 7 can't see it, it doesn't seem to get any power for the lights or the eject button. Got an error during boot today that said the boot sequence had failed and that I should pop in the win 7 install disk and repair it. How am I supposed to do that when I can't even get it open? xD Tried downloading a firmware update but it can't find the drive either. AFAIK, no new windows updates have been installed that could've caused this.

It's an old OPTIARC DVD±R/RW/RAM DL LS 20X AD-7201S SATA drive if anyone have any ideas :(
 
Regarding free will:

Doesn´t true "free will" equal chaos? We have no free will because we make decisions based on what we experienced, what we know. If free will lets you choose independently from such influence, isn´t that the same as letting chaos rule?

If you can get into Windows there's a registry entry you can modify and sometimes after a reboot the DVD drive works again but of course the drive could just be dead.

she disabled her account. it's like she never existed. her likes, comments, and everything else just vanished after she disabled it. She won't show up in any searches, either. It might just be temporary, as some girls seem to think disabling fb for a few days fixes all the drama thats currently in their life

And when someone blocks you, you can't find them anymore. You can only find them if they're just removed you from their friends list.
 
I need a small LCD television (<25") that I can use as my computer monitor (through use of either HDMI or VGA), has RCA hookups for my PS2, and can be used to view basic cable programming. What should I get?

:lol used to activate the laughing smiley. The smiley has since been removed. But people type it anyway.

There are some extensions that will display it for you. Not that I use any--I just use it regardless :lol

Definitely this. I think it's always better to consume media in the order of release. For example with the Star Wars series (quality of the prequels aside) watching them in chronological order would totally ruin the Yoda reveal in Empire Strikes Back(i.e. this weird gremlin dude annoying Luke is actually the galaxy's greatest Jedi).

Why are internet age gates so damn annoying? Why can't they just be like "Are you old enough to watch this shit YES/NO". Instead of irritating scrolling or typing.

I view them as stupidity tests. If you're under 18 and dumb enough to put your real age, then you don't deserve to watch a thing.

Facebook also often disables accounts temporarily, for various reasons.
