It's not inaccurate so much as painfully outdated. I lived in projects in the '70s and '80s and I assure you that most of our neighbors on welfare were sitting on ass at home all day every day.

It's not confined from the south, I'm from Long Island (part of NY) a blue state but my whole family (besides me) are hard-core Fox news / conservative sheep and to listen to them talk and post that crap led me to making an alt Facebook account. Otherwise I would be arguing with these people who really think if we had an Republican president that everything will magically be better

I've always felt like anyone that pulled a "the troopz!" thing out as part of an argument is either being intentionally disingenuous or is just an asshole who doesn't get the point in the first place. It's not a zero sum game.

Unfollow, hide from feed every single time. Great to be proud and all, but I'm a firm believer in just keeping your ideologies (especially political ones) under wraps. No one needs to hear/read all of that.

I love the Swiss one because the NRA and other gun rights advocates would HATE the gun control measures the Swiss have. I mean police checks, permits especially on ammunition. It's illegal to carry weapons outside your home unless being transported in a secure container to or from a sporting or permit-requiring hunting area.

Also suicide by firearm is higher than than anywhere else in Europe except Finland (which has comparable gun ownership figures)

You have to be old enough to remember that though. No matter who the president is, the absolute hate and vitriol from the other side is a little disturbing. And then the side whose president is in power acts like they can't believe how awful the other side is behaving.
