LMAO xD

I don't understand why they couldn't find some muscle otters or bodybuilder twinks for this show. I mean, I'm not gay and am happily married, but if I'm gonna watch a show about dudes they should be hot you know?

Who knows.. maybe those types of guys will be the, *ahem*, love interests for the main characters? I wouldn't be surprised if TLC tried to tempt these guys with some hotness at some point.

This is incredibly disturbing. These are people who probably hate themselves, are incredibly depressed, deal with suicidal thoughts simply because of growing up in a society that demonizes their sexual orientation and beat it into their heads that being gay is wrong, against "god", etc.

Shit is fucked up and I hope they can receive help or come to terms with themselves.

Tell 'em. How am I going to indulge my weird repressed religious guy fetishes with these dudes? Cancelling my cable service.

Or they could just be, you know, consenting adults willingly entering into relationships they believe will work, just like everybody else. You have no idea what goes on inside their heads nor what their motivations are, much less if they are depressed or sexually repressed. A person's faith can be as big, if not a bigger motivator/source of happiness than the physical attraction they feel towards another person.

Sex is such a primal thing though. Not impossible, but difficult for the average person to put out of their minds, it's so ingrained in our biology.

The depths that TLC has achieved are impressive. But TruTV... On a whole different level. Tru has some of the most amazing bullshit I've seen.

I also love how the subject/possibility of bisexuality or other sexualities aren't even brought up, you're either gay or you're not.

But who ever expected reality TV to be progressive or socially aware, anyway? :P

What is the point of this show? Really. Is it just because they're Mormon? As a married, Christian, bi-sexual male myself I'm failing to see why this is show worthy.

The only way I could see it is if they're gay, but are married and say they "love" their wife because they're Mormon.

This is as depressing as it is hilarious. I wonder how long they'll get away with milking all these horrid ideas until it all runs dry and shit really hits the fan.

The Learning Channel

This is just feeding into what will ultimately be a lifetime of misery for these guys if they don't get help.

I think they officially changed it to "Travel & Living Channel" a while back. At least they were self-aware enough to opt for some super vague and generic name that I suppose can be an umbrella title for all their, uh, hard-hitting, respectable programming.

I'd love to believe that all of these guys are bi, for the wives' sake. But I'm betting that most of them are just gay. I also know a couple Muslims who are married to women and totally not gay. Religion is a helluva drug.

Yeah I hear that all the time. But I believe that everyone should at least have had someone in their life to whom they were/are the most important most beloved, most wanted person. And if they're bi, then that's fine. But if they're gay and just going through the motions they're robbing themselves and their wives of a singular chance for love in this life and no amount of faith will change that nor make them whole.
