The character sheet doesn't display it, but running 4AB + offhand Famas + 5 damage talents is nutso damage. Doubt there's a single non-AB build that can keep up, apart from maybe that perma link abuse one but that only works outside of groups.

Oh yeah it's awesome, the talents I have are Viscous, Brutal, Unforgiving on the M4, Destructive, Responsive Uncomplicated on the Famas. 340k dps with 5k firearms, 24% damage DTE, 55% EAD. 470k toughness with 7k stamina, 55% mitigation and 120k skill power with the specialised backpack. Then there's the Barret vest bonuses on top when a skill is used. I know its mainly for SMG'S but my crit chance is at 22% prior to pulse as well so hits pretty damn hard when pulse is out with the additional crit chance. I've never seen armour disintegrate so quick, it's a joy to play with and if you've took enough damage where you're below two health bars for vicious, unforgiving kicks in. I rolled brutal on to the M4 as it was Swift, shame it wasn't in the free talent as I'd have tried to get Ferocious but read people have been struggling to roll that in the free slot anyway. Brutal came up on the first roll so was a no brainer compared to everything else that was offered. Ran solo most of the evening doing daily HVT's, some weekly HVT's, UG and challenge missions, didn't really come across any sticky points except for when in one HVT the enemies spawned right behind me lol
Its a good feeling having a decent powerful build where you can deal with most pve situations. The only improvement I could do is getting a better Barret chest piece with higher base armour, mine came with just under 3k but my Reckless piece was almost 3300 so I lost a fair bit there but both skills on cooldown make up for that.

Even when playing with other builds I continuously think about what has become my favorite...LoneStar. My Pakhan is like a laser after getting used to it and it simply shreds. Damage/suppress and finish off with the Medved without ever reloading going between the two. Both are good on their own as well. I've decided to go with the Steady Hands talent to keep me from being overly aggressive.

So I guess going forward I'll be looking for a Showstopper drop while trying to perfect my LoneStar build which is complemented with a Barret's chest and a Specialized backpack.

Is the four set talent still a full mag reload when holstering the weapon? Bet there's hardly any down time with that. That's one thing I'm struggling with on AR's, being used to such big LMG mags the 63 bullets in my M4 are soon out, especially with rapid fire on the mag.

Well solo queue for PVP works rather quick for me.
Group and PVE usually takes a bit longer but still <5minutes

How do you solo queue? I go into my base of operations and down into the undeground bit and all I see is matchmaking to find people or queue as a group.

Is the show stopper actually good? A friend had one drop for him earlier and the weapon didn't look that special, what about lone star makes it great?

Yeah, full mag on holstered weapon.

LoneStar gear set offers bonus dmg with LMGs and Shotguns in addition to 100% ammo bonus and automatic reload when holstered (any weapon).

I'm not sure what talents are rolled on the Showstopper these days but it is the only automatic shotgun in the game and a rather rare weapon drop. I had two of them drop when I played on Xbox One back during the 1.3 iteration of The Division.

It's a build that, for me, offers the most fun from a moment-to-moment gameplay perspective. It's not a build that offers anything other than maybe damage output as it's not a support build of any kind and doesn't really offer any synergy in team play but when paired with say the Steady Hands and On the Move character talents it shines with advantages of both in and out of cover. The LMG and Shotgun combo also offers a great weapon dynamic that works great together. Find yourself a laser-like LMG and a high % stagger shotgun and have at it. Damage/suppress, finish off with shotgun. Meet the shotgun rushers halfway, etc.

Regarding team builds, support builds and the like, I think that aspect has really taken a backseat with this iteration of The Division and isn't remotely necessary to be efficient in murdering your foes or surviving. What I mainly mean by this is there are enough gear set bonus combos and different named/high-end gear pieces that offer plenty of damage output and survivability as the game has become more of a direct shooter with lighter RPG elements whereas in previous iterations it was more important for different builds and skills in composing a team/group. It's really all about damage output, enemy armor damage, and as always, but more direct now, the amount of armor you have.

Damn, this delta 0 1234 login server issue is killing me. Half my attempts play sessions result in this or the last day. Low level character, started up recently. Really unencouraging.

Haven't played in months! Was only a bit through the Underground DLC when I got burnt out. Probably coming back soon, I used to run with the PS4 group for a bit.

Always a bit time consuming getting back into a patched up game you haven't played in ages. All my inventory will probably be crap now lol.

So I finally managed to get an AB holster (been desperately looking for one to complete my 4AB + 2HE set). As soon as my team got out of the checkpoint after resupplying ammo, a team of lurkers screwed us and stole it :(

I know it's subject to RNG but I get lots of AB gear from HVTs, Challenge missions and Underground Ops.

I basically run 99,9% of my time in the DZ... maybe I should try those other things... haha

Oh, I got a very nice AB Chest piece today. 3100 armor, +52% ammo and 7% DtE. The only piece missing is the damn holster.

Did some SnD for Intel to run daily and some weekly HVT's yesterday, first time since 1.5 and was quite enjoyable, loot everywhere on most of them except for the 5 Intel dailies, was refreshing.

I've been getting back into the Division a bunch, spent some time making a D3-FNC set that I've been enjoying, working on getting better stats.

I'd love to play with some GAF people. I'm on PS4. PSN: Azys_

Man, in the DZ basically *ALL* the loot I get is Frontline gear (D3-FNC). Kinda boring tbh. I need AB!

so I recently picked up a new copy for ps4 when it was down to $10.
I installed game and 1.5 update
game keeps crashing upon the login screen.
is this a known issue?
is anyone else experiencing this?
is there a fix?

I'm a bit freaked out cause my friend also got a copy and this started happening to him then his hdd failed so while I don't think they're connected I just want some piece of mind with it.

Yep sounds good :)

Going to work in 1h :(

But at least I managed to get an AB holster from a mob today. Yeah, not even a boss... a random dude.

This is how I am at the moment... unfortunately, it's all messed up due to previous builds... :(

Need better gear... fml

How is survival mode? I'm a PS4 [Pro] player and I'm looking forward to coming back just for that mode. Pick up and play with even levels and playing field.

I got this earlier this year cause it was free with my graphics card. Played a bit then forgot about it. Decided to see what its like now after all these updates apparently and its re-installing as if I never owned it lol. Idk oh well hope its fun now

The Advanced Weaponry Vendor is selling an updated version of the Pakhan this week that does 1K more base DMG and 14% DMG to target out of cover.

Awesome, thanks for pointing that out. Would never have thought to check again, thought it's stats were fixed.

Pakhan is my go to PvE weapon.

Edit - Completely unrelated but 150+ runs of Lexington and no chest piece yet. :(

I got this last week for $10 I've been playing a bit.

How do I zoom in on rifle with modded scope using 360 pad on the PC? I want to actually look through the scope using the gamepad, instead of just slightly zooming in with R3.

Sounds like you haven't got a multiplying scope equipped, when you have it'll take up the whole screen pressing R3 with a cross hair.

Ok, I didn't realize that. The scope I have just brings a little red thing in the reticle. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure it out.

There's 19 total, quick screen cap of marcos bet in slot video:

Sounds like you have some kind of red dot or halo sight, you're after one with a number and 'x' after it for magnification when pressing R3.

Am I an idiot or is there no melee/takedown in this game? I hate the guys rushing you and it seems there's little that can be done but exit cover or roll away. And are there no silent/surprise melee takedowns?

There is a melee but it does very little damage and is really only useful for disrupting an attacker.

Shotgun with stagger is your friend.

Yea, it's a very weak and annoying "melee". Easier to hop back and blast them.

I was hoping for serious takedowns. Especially sneak/surprise ones when they come around a corner or you walk up they are they unaware.

I was fooling around with this last night. My base Toughness is 265K. I have a mask that I haven't switched out yet, but that gets me to 320K. It takes my Skill Power down to 161K, which isn't that bad. That Lightweight M4 I'm using is great. It shoots like a laser. I'm just trying to roll Determined on it, and it'll be perfect. I retired my Caduceus.

Gonna get rid of the Final Measure stuff eventually, I think. I'm working towards Barrett's Bulletproof.

Really surprised how much I've been enjoying this. I thought I would have gotten tired of it now but 12 hours later I'm still not. I've mainly done PvE though. The story is anything to write home about but it is a bit interesting. All the phone calls and area design are really good though. Really sets the appropriate tone and I can only image the horror that likely is in the Dark Zone area.

I guess since I've been into Diablo against I don't mind the grind nature of the game. It's thankfully something different from military shooters. I guess I also look at as the Destiny alternative I've wanted. I want to play Destiny but don't like how the PS3 version looks and I can't find a PS4/XBO system deal at the price I want where I can get the games I want instead of what is offered.

Does the rest of Manhatten open up to you or do you only have access to Midtown part of the island?

I tried that build someone posted a video of a few pages ago, 4AB + 2HE with savage gloves, +LGM dmg... and I didn't enjoy it. *shrugs*

Then I switched to 4AB + 2 Nomads with great gloves roll (+ 1,205 assault rifle dmg and + 10% DtE) and boy... I'm melting everything with my G36 :D

Running G36 + Famas with Uncomplicated, Responsive, Competent, Brutal and Destructive... I end up with + 37% dmg to elites and + 50% enemy armor damage.

Just wanted to come in and say the Survival DLC is fantastic. Such an awesome game mode. Came back just to play this and I'm glad I did. Me and my friend have some intense moments in PVP, so much fun.

I just wish matchmaking was a littler faster. It takes a long time to find a game. Does it group everyone up evenly? For example since I am grouped up with one friend does it find other players in groups of two as well to keep it even? Guess that makes sense in the end, just takes sooo long sometimes and kills the flow. Last night we got on and seriously took like 30 mins and we still didn't find a game lol.

Yeah, I recommend starting with just 6 really high rolled items of various sets as the raw numbers of 256 items are so far beyond 229s that there's bound to be some major upgrades. Get the armor mitigation number way up, get good enemy armor damage, get high stamina/firearms in place for weapon talents, and then piece by piece upgrade into a Gear Set (or all HEs) you wish to unlock bonuses.

I'm at 376k/460k/119k w/ 4 Alphabridge + 2 HEs (a robust chest piece +10% armor in cover/a Specialized backpack for + skill power) and it's hard to imagine upgrading much at this point beyond finally getting Barrett's chestpiece or getting a FAMAS with perfect complimentary rolls. I'm running with Destructive, Brutal, Uncomplicated, Unforgiving, Deadly and Swift (those last two I could do without, but not the worst - at least they are all active).

I wish there was a pve Darkzone. The trophies in there are going to be painful. Can't wait to be done with it,l so I never have to go near it again.

If you're on PS4 I'll help you extract at all zones if you need it and you can kill my alt for the rogue kills to get it done faster if you don't want to hang around in the DZ.

Just think, when the 1.6 update hits folks will have to rely on RNG again for Barret's chest, Skull gloves, etc.

Even if everything else is left behind they should at least allow you to update your named High-end pieces to the highest gear score (stat increases) through recalibration. Make it costly but make it possible.

So I'm about 5 hours into a new character on PC, I had hit Level 30 on PS4 during launch week.

Where do I find new clothes? I remember finding way more clothes at this point when I was on PS4. Did they change the drop locations?

I think the vast majority of cosmetic items come from citizens in need (give water, food, etc.) and abandoned apartments.

You need to unlock the Appearance Vendor at the BoO who will sell different skins/clothing each day (items for sale that you have already acquired will not show in the vendor's inventory).

Other than that...Scavenger chest at BoO (also need to unlock), NPCs in need, normal drops from killing NPCs, Incursion rewards, etc.

Lvl 11 scrub here (NA - PC). I've been using the same Scar H since lvl 6 and I can't seem to find anything better.

Also went to the dark zone just to see what is was and got roflstomped by 2 high lvl guys. They kept killing me again and again until i just left the DZ. How the hell am I going to ever level up in there? Seems like it's a gank fest.

Been away for 2 months (no PS4) with optimised GS of 210 and highest equipped GS of 228. Can't seem to matchmake at all on world tier 4 for the daily challenge mission. Is it a ghost town?

I would imagine most players are in Tier 5 already sans for new players to the game. I would suggest doing activities that are solo-able to your play-style (Search and Destroy, Daily HVTs, Hard Missions [Challenging if you can handle them], Underground Ops, etc) until you get enough gear to put together any kind of decent Frankenstein-type build allowing you to move into Tier 5 where it will surely be more populated and where you'll be getting the highest level gear to create whatever you want to for more of a long-lasting experience, well, until the 1.6 Update drops next year.

That said, if gear isn't all that important to you and you just wanted to play I doubt you'll have much luck anyways otherwise doing activities you want and when you want in a lower Tier if looking for group play.
