Tom Henderson - Astrobot codes are out. Embargo Sept 5

I am kinda surprised that review codes are being sent so late for this type of game.
doesn't come across like it's "coming in hot", which is often the reason review codes are being sent out late. and is the reason some Nintendo review copies were often sent out weeks, in some extene cases months before launch

This is probably a 12 to15 hour game. I'm not sure it needs a long lead time for reviews.

If there was ever a game that deserved shilling, begging to buy and support, it's this game. I hope a lot of people buy it and support the studio. Because games like this that make you smile throughout, deserve it. Step out from the shadows my little VR friend.

Should I cancel my physical version and get it digital? I want to play on Thursday!
Do we get something for pre-ordering at gamestop?
I wouldn't cancel the pre-order for the physical version, tbh, since it looks like it comes with some pretty cool physical goodies (a poster and a comic).

This looks great, but I'm still sad it's not VR. Rescue Mission made a believer and extremely excited for the future of VR. I really wanted a PSVR 2.

But, nothing has given me any reason to get one. Fantastic hardware without software is pointless.

Our Lord and Savior, Astro Bot.

Fuck you guys! I haven't bought a game full price since 2015. And you're gonna make me buy it for the hype alone.

Have very little interest in platformers, probably why the only Nintendo system I've owned is the origianl Gameboy!

That said I'm hyped for Astro Bot, it's a breath of fresh air in amongst so many dull open world titles, and games that take themselves far too seriously. I've only bought a handful of titles this gen but am looking forward to the rest of the year with PS5 Pro, a GT7 update, Undisputed Boxing and Astro Bot.

I'm craving some pick up and play action, rather than feeling like completing a game is a chore!

Oh, so that's Captain Rock from Motor Toon Grand Prix, the first SIE-developed game ever (not the first SIE-produced one, tho. I'm yet to find any Crime Crackers bot).

Chris Dring of GI.biz expects Astro Bot to sell 5m+ this year.

Could be another Helldivers 2 situation where great reviews and word of mouth boost sales.

No wonder everything flops nowadays if people expect a smaller title like this with a smaller marketing campaign and smaller budget to sell 5M on a platform with like 60M consoles sold.

Borrowed a friends PS5 just to play Astrobot.
I gave him the money to buy the game. I think we have the console setup correctly for game sharing. Fingers Crossed.
