We don't know what settings and resolution they used.
Matrix could run on PS4 pro with enough cuts (vs PS5 version).
Series S is faster than Pro. Teraflops are the same but RDNA2 had higher IPC than Polaris. Not to mention all other advancements.

You are right for a handheld the Switch 2 will be impressive for the price we can count on that.
But let's not get ahead of ourselves it'll be far behind other consoles, not to mention we're likely a year away from the next Xbox and 3 from the PS6.

I love Nintendo and hold them very near and dear to my heart but, anyone thinking this will be as powerful as a PS4 or even a Pro are fucking crazy! Nintendo know what the VAST majority of the population want, and that is a cheap(ish), affordable console that can play games the mainstream want (like the Switch does). Most don't give a fuck about graphics.

Well that's disappointing. DLSS and Frame Gen should still help elevate the Switch 2 far beyond it's raster capabilities.
After Fortnite they're going to make a black and gold Snoop edition Switch 2.

Ps4 to ps4 pro hardware for 400 dollars is an abomination and embarrassment. No one wants to play 1080p at best 'it'll dip below that' at 30fps on a 4k screen man. This thing will be prehistoric tech wise on launch and will have an outdated LED screen on it too boot because they'll want to sell you an OLED version of it later lol. I know i'm being harsh but honestly it's the truth.

Yeah, TAA is better than whatever crap AA method they used on the original release of the game. Late ports can often benefit from cool tech that wasn't in the original plans, but how is that relevant?
It's going to sell better than any other console this year. I know I'm being harsh but honestly it's the truth.

People bought skyward sword 'remaster' that wasn't even a remaster because the textures of the original game weren't even touched lol 'alot of their remasters are lazy'. Nintendo is selling a 100 dollar alarm clock and people are gobbling it up. Just because it sells alot dosen't mean anything, it just means people will buy anything nintendo related even if the hardware inside of it is junk.

This is denial. The Switch has sold more than the PS5 and XSX COMBINED. It's not just Nintendo fans. It's the default console for most normal people.

Every Nintendo hardware is preceded by wildly overinflated expectations from Nintendo fans. It's not that fans don't want high tech graphics from Nintendo, but they're still going to buy it regardless. They want to see a Zelda that is a match for Ratchet and Clank Rift in Time, but they'll have to wait 15 more years.

It's a handheld though. Even modern $1200 iPhones aren't as performant as the PS4 Pro in 2025. It's important to keep expectations reasonable.
