He didn't get banned for that, he got banned for using a specific word in a specific context.

Er, the 'trap' thing is unrelated to any new rule. It's been a ban bullseye word for quite a while.
And basically, the only 'new' rule is that you shouldn't talk about cartoon characters, especially young, in a sexual way.

Tenchi shows have progressively gotten worse in just about every aspect. Art, music, writing, animation.
First two OVAs are great, Universe is still really good, and so are the early movies. Tenchi in Love/Tokyo is the start of the awful animation and the story is weird but it's a god send compared to OVA 3/GXP/Pretty Sasami/Geminar.
OVA 3 is the biggest disappointment of them all. You'd think a return to that universe and its characters would inspire them to go high budget or attempt to match the beautiful art of the original, or you know, maybe reign in the writing a bit to go with the old standards...nope. It's just as bad as everything after Universe.

i think i'm the only one who kinda likes Tenchi in Tokyo; i mean, i see why people hate it, but i think it's still pretty funny and some of the drama somehow works (a lot of it doesn't, but some of it does).
OVA 3 is....weird. it focuses a lot on random side characters before crawling up its own ass with bizarre sci-fi nonsense. but those aren't even the worst problems, and i feel like it's hard to articulate its problems unless people have actually watched it. however, i was at least entertained by it. watching GXP just kinda feels like my soul is being sucked out through a straw.
i'll get to Geminar eventually. i think i'll probably skip the Sasami stuff.

To be fair, people would probably get pissed if a porn site had child porn on it for your analogy.
NIS operates on a much smaller scale than S-E. A millionaire isn't going to bend over to pick up a penny on the street. NISA understands that they will probably make a very small amount of money on this, and are totally OK with it.

Watched the trailer other then the girls being variations on sexy/cute what's the problem?
The US announcement trailer? It didn't include the stuff that made people get into arguments (mainly fanservice), & even more so, because NIS confirmed they're censoring the game (which considering Mugen Souls got censored, I fully understand & not surprised), lead into a huge argument over censorship & such.
That's all I think I'm gonna say, because I'd hate for what happened in the announcement thread to happen in other threads, especially here. Part of me regrets even making the thread stating it was coming here, but I guess the end result wouldn't have changed no matter who made the thread.

I can see where the problem lies. Apparently, so does NIS, which admits in the press release to changing some aspects of the game, so now you're not torturing the girls, you're "motivating" them.
I think I'll be staying far away from that.

Agreed. Though I can't think of much that they'd announce, save for maybe Under Night In-Birth. I'd be insanely surprised if they were bringing over Dengeki Fighting Climax, especially since it was just confirmed for this Fall on PS3/Vita in Japan.

Why would you censor the game?!? No one is buying this for any reason other than the fanservice. This isn't a P4G where the main game is incredible and the added fanservice is stop playing forever bad, it's a shitty teen sex"comedy" where the jokes all suck but you will see some boobs so it's alright.

They added some pretty disgusting scenes following the added dungeon.
You mean the bath house scene that lasted about 30 seconds to which you couldn't see anything due to the steam and the characters got their sircumpr...surcompres....got what they deserve? Edit; COMEUPPANCE, that's what I was trying to spell.
& I just remembered two more days until Jojo Dub premieres on Crunchyroll.

I'm a big fan of just how well the Tales of hot springs scenes stick to the script.

One of them has a ton of it, but you already knew about that.
One of them has a surprising amount of cleavage.
The main character has no interest in peeping but one of the side characters does and gets them involved somehow, with the main character taking all of the blame.
Also been watching Knights of Sidonia on Netflix. JYB getting abused for ten minutes straight? Clones errywhere, bunch of recognizable voice actors? Pretty neat. The animation is incredibly hit or miss to the point where you'll go wow this looks amazing one moment and wow, this looks like Beware the Batman the next.
