Yeah, the mini marathon is pointless considering there is no continuity. I guess they wanted to showcase Dandy but not reorder the shows for one night so it came first (since a reorder would be confusing) so this was their solution.

Probably just what they decided to do because of what you said and because it's a holiday weekend.

I think anime dubs still dub animals as sometimes they use different sounds.
Like cats go "meow" in English, but go "nya" in Japanese.

I know in early EARLY One Piece, Funi redubbed a dog. Though in Japanese, the dog sounded terrible. Like an old lady impersonating a dog.

Finally watched Sailor Moon Crystal. I really liked it and it felt 'right' to me overall outside of the CG transformation sequence. I can see Toei getting heavy use out of static models with this too, but I'll allow it. There were a few moments too that needed the caption "Shoujou Intensifies" that totally need gifs.

Watched Jojo too...god this show is weird in all the right ways.

So yeah, After watching Crystal the first thing that jumped out to me is that Mitsuishi is struggling to return to her Usagi voice. Hopefully that will get fixed later down the line. Secondly is that this must still be taking place in the 80s/90s since I didn't see a single student use their cell phone.

All in all I really enjoyed it. The animation looks way better than I expected an online exclusive show to have. The characters are endearing. The music is good. can't wait to see more.
