According to a poll released by Forum Research Inc. last Sunday, Fords base of support remained largely undiminished in light of drug allegations.
But, according to the poll which looked at a number of hypothetical match ups for the upcoming Toronto mayoral race set for 2014, Fords support may not be enough to win re-election.
The random survey of nearly 1,400 Torontonians found that in a mayoral race with Ford running head-to-head against NDP MP Olivia Chow, Chow would win approximately 57 per cent of the vote, and Ford would win around 36 per cent.
A similar poll conducted on May 10 had nearly identical results.
