So what's this report that Ford knew of the video?
http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2013/05/30/rob_ford_video_scandal_mayor_ford_said_he_knew_where_video_was_sources_say.html
"This is unbelievable," he told the Star. "I wasn't even at the game, so someone's trying to do a real hatchet job on me, let me tell you."
But Tuesday, Ford made a 180-degree turn, admitting he had lied about the incident and apologizing for his behaviour at the hockey game.
"I reflected on it last night, and talked to my family. I came forward and admitted it. That's all I can do. I mean, I'm not perfect," said Ford.
"The video doesn't exist."
"Hey guys, the video is at these specific addresses."
This feels just like the story about Ford getting drunk at a Leafs game:
He says the video doesn't exist but sooner or later the truth will come out.
My room is right over the garage so the shingles there just absorb heat and radiate into my room, which makes my room slighty (much) hotter than the rest of the house. I swear my PC parts are idling at 50C right now.
The lawnmower also broke down on me barely 10% into the lawn. And I live at the end of a street leading into a cul-de-sac, so our lawn is super big and I let the grass grow longer than it should have between cuts. Fuck today (even if it is my dad's birthday)
Ford loses another 2 members of his staff today.
5 staffers in the last week, but nothings going on. business as usual at city hall.
If it's a really small strip and not "my half and your half of a super big patch of grass but there isn't a conclusive line" (it's still pretty obvious) then just go and cut the whole thing I'd say if you catch him with a mowed lawn but he missed that strip then just kindly remind him. I assume you're supposed to cut it regardless, at least the front facing part you can see. Anything past a fence is fair game.I know that feel. I just came back inside after mowing the lawn. I tried to mow the lawn a couple of weeks ago, but I ran out of gas, and I didn't have any more.
The grass grew a bit too long and jammed my mower midway through, so I had to drag my mower to the garage to empty it out, then go back to the back yard to finish mowing. I ran over something and it chucked a piece of grass near my eye, and then jammed when I ran over loose rock. I got sprayed with dirt. Since it rained yesterday, the end of my back yard is fucking muddy.
My next door neighbour and I share the same small bit of lawn between houses, and he doesn't mow it. So I mowed half of it. He's new, so I'd like to give the guy the benefit of the doubt and say he just doesn't know, but I'd assume the previous owners (really cool people) would've told him.

I'm kinda pissed because this means we have to buy a new mower and all that wasted effort for really nothing.
Get used to it or actually be used to it.
Construction all day every day!
Rain!! SALVATION!!!
I knew it looked like it would rain.
I'm north of the city so nothing as yet.
Look guys Ford is just saving the city money. What does a mayor need gravy like staffers for?
Goddammit. Rogers just shut down CityNews Channel. I always preferred it to CP24 because it was in HD. :<
Yeah, I figured CP24 was in HD on Bell since it's a Bell channel. Much like Comedy Network and Discovery Channel, Bell withholds the HD versions of its channels from Rogers for a while. I finally got those two in HD about a year ago. Hopefully CP24 will follow.

As someone who works construction I see a whole lot of whiners in this thread.Oh it's so gross outside. Already complaining the first hot day this year. I'm starting to think I'm getting less tolerant of humid muggy weather as I age.

Only thing that really sucks is that I'm currently working at the new facility at the Disco Road transfer station (yeah, where they're looking for more body parts) and the yard waste close by makes it even more humid.I hope you drown out there
Current Los Angeles Laker and former Phoenix Suns star Steve Nash is fighting to keep his ex-wife and three children from moving from Phoenix to California, where he now plays.
http://mi.nba.com/_smart/article.html?url=/news/nash_battling_ex-wife_in_phoen_20130530.html
But Nash, you told us you couldn't play in Toronto because you wanted to be close to your kids
It's that point when a girl tells you she is really is a lesbian and can't go out with you. Then you see her making out with another man.
Nash said he sees the kids in Arizona at LEAST as much as would in L.A. ... and maintained that her only motivation for moving is so California courts can nail him for child support -- which he says would really only support her lavish taste.
“A major reason we divorced was her incessant spending, social climbing, materialism,” he said.
Nash testified about several occasions when Alejandra made it difficult for him to see 8-year-old twin girls Lola and Bella, and 2-year-old son Matteo Joel … including a Christmas homestand, when Nash wanted his girlfriend to escort the kids on a flight to L.A.
“She had none of that,” Nash said.
Nash said he can totally afford child support ... he just doesn't want it to ruin his kids: “I don’t want my high-privileged lifestyle ... to be an artificial environment.”

Yep, was never gonna work with Kobe dominating the ball. Hell, thinking on it, he managed to make Dwight/Pau/Nash look/play worse to accommodate his game, what a leader. It's funny that Nash went to LA to chase a ring, Derek Fisher style and basically became a worse version of Fisher; A guy who stands in the corner and shoots threes. What a terrible fit, making him play without the ball. Not having Phoenix's medical staff hurts too.
And yeah, it would have made zero sense for him, or the Raptors.

I used to watch BT on there all the time then one day a few years ago it suddenly switched to CTV's control. Nobody ever watched City News channel (yourself as the exception)
City didn't give up CP24, Bell bought CHUM (which owned CityTV, CP24, MUCH, etc) and part of the approval from the CRTC was that Bell had to sell the CityTV channels. Bell chose to keep CP24.I have no idea why City ever gave up CP24 to begin with. I used to watch BT on there all the time then one day a few years ago it suddenly switched to CTV's control. What about OTA broadcasts? I read recently that Canada doesnt have anything like the Cable Card program. Is there anyway to cut the cord?

Of course. It's all ATSC over the air, you just need one of those tuners. All channels are digital now. Depending on how far north/how far up you are, sometimes you can get great reception, at least in Toronto. I get at least a half dozen decent quality channels OTA just in an upstairs bedroom with some rabbit ears.

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford boasts about running the city in an "open and transparent manner." Takes no questions on crack scandal.
Anybody here try out The Transit App yet? Doesn't cover all of the GTA transit services, but it covers a lot/most.
