Every now and then I go out to lunch to remind myself why I never go out to lunch. Restaurants downtown are not worth it at lunch time. Massive crowds that lead to bad service and general loudness and unpleasantness. If you have a drink, you'd better ration that fucker like you're wandering through the Sahara, because you're not seeing another waitress until twenty minutes after you want your bill.

I still have to get my G. I keep procrastinating on that front.
The day I turned sixteen I got my G1. 8 months to the day later I got my G2. 4 years and 2 months later I finally got my G.
I procrastinated to the point where my G2 expired and I needed to do that again.

I'm not really a fan of those gigantic glass towers in the render, but it's not the ugliest thing the city has ever built.

401 traffic is at a minimum between 10pm and 5am.
Any time outside that window, and all bets are off.
There's a small window between 10am and 3pm where the highway is clear. I'm speaking on more around the Scarborough area and the east.

I ended up in an odd loophole where I had 10 years to go from G1 to G.
I got my G1 at 16. Kind of forgot about it and didn't end up going for my G2 until 4 years later and only a few months before my license expired. Got my G2, but here's the thing...
Since you need to have your G2 for a year before you can go for the G, and my license expired in only in a few months, they let you renew your G2 for another 5 years and then I had another 5 years to get my G. Lol.
Oh wow, Quick went through almost the same driving license situation I just did. My G2 expired in September, after I failed to pass the G exam after a couple of tries near the expiry date. I had to retake the G1 and G2. I took the G1 test right after my previous license expired, but I had to wait a month or so to take the G2 due to no free slots in the exam schedule. I passed the G2 test a couple months ago and I can take the G time any time I want, but I think I will wait at least a year. At this point, I'm sick of driving tests.
Friend of mine did the same, renewed his G2 before it expired and got an extra 5 years. He eventually did his G test, but it took him ages.
Man, that's not even an "almost the same", that's the exact same thing I went through.
G2 expired, redid the G1 and G2 tests. The silver lining was I didn't need to wait to jump in between license tests. I did my G1 and G2 tests a week apart. And I waited a year to do my G, though I had the option to do it immediately after my G2 whenever an open spot was free. I'm absolutely sick of road tests, and I'm so glad I'm finished with them.

A lot of people must have known about it. I got ten streetpasses on Friday and 7 of them were people playing Fire Emblem.
It was pretty neat to get 10 streetpasses in an hour on the subway but at the same time - I'd rather not be squished against thousands of people trying to squeeze onto a rush hour train.
