Only if you have a No 14 lens in it.
NASA actually says anything better than a 12 will work.

The second thing. Its not any more or less dangerous during an eclipse than any other time. But most days there is really not much incentive to attempt looking directly at the sun.
Yeah that makes sense. I guess most people don't make an effort to look at the Sun for more then 2 seconds, let alone over 2 minutes. Thanks
More than just the temptation to look at the sun, the dimness of the light causes your eyes to dilate letting more light in to your eyes.Alright honest question here - everyone knows that looking at the Sun is bad for your eyes but is it extra bad during an Eclipse or something? Or is it just the idea that since most of it is covered it will be fine and scientists and the media are just hammering in the don't look at the Sun stuff as hard as possible?
"A little darker" is an understatement if I've ever seen one if you're in the path of a total eclipse. Heheh
I live right dead center of the total eclipse. It will be 2 minutes and 37 seconds long here.
So does anyone actually have eclipse glasses? lol

Has already been answered on the last page and others. This might be a stupid question, but can I view the sun through my phone instead of looking at it directly?
And if you're out of dilate drops, remember that psilocybin/lsd also work as decent substitutes.Make sure to get your eyes dilated before looking up

KC here. It's storming and super cloudy right now
How much were these glasses anyway?
Get on NASA.gov and check their live feeds. You can choose from several different processed views. Its super cool shit.Is it safe to assume the news agencies will be showing this via camera with special lenses on TV live?
They came in sets so somewhat expensive. Luckily my brothers school were handing them out to him and I got mine from a friend. How much were these glasses anyway?
A few cents to a few dollars before the recent markupsHow much were these glasses anyway?
