Jeezus what is there to get? It's just an interesting concept and I for one like it. Everyone here knows or has participated in a "If *blank* console was a car, what would it be?" or something very similar in that nature. Well this is just a "If *blank* console was a chick what would she be?* and I think the anime designs suites this premise perfectly. Art doesn't always have to be overly meaningful or always have to serve some profound purpose. Sometimes its just fun to look at. If you don't like the designs then thats cool but to say "I don't understand." well there is nothing to understand beyond the fact that they are chicks as game machines.
EDIT: Now that I think about it maybe the artists were trying to mock the overly used term "sexy" as applied when describing a game system who knows. But you don't even have to look at it that deep to find it entertaining to look at.

It would be nice if they got a more talented Artist to do something like this in a game magazine spread for all the mainstream consoles from Atari 7800 to present game machines. I think it would be a hit with the readers and every week do consoles as another "theme". A lot of them could be simple humor pieces like a Genesis Delorian with blast processing coming out the rear like a nitro flying by a stacked out Go-Kart Super nintendo.
This is not a new concept, it's an old concept that's simply been extended to consoles. You may or may not have seen the OS-tans (some pages on that site may not be SFW), also known as "Nijiura-OS" or "Trouble Windows".

It'd be more interesting to see mech designs based off consoles. The anime fan service is kinda cool, but I'd like to see something more mechanical (cars and fighter planes would be reallylnice as well).
