Well, I believe a number of them are banned right now after a certain thread on Gaming Side... really went south. But nonetheless, while I agree with the general sentiment, calling people out like this never leads to anything productive because it starts things off on a hostile tone, so of course they'll either be defensive or just not respond at all to avoid saying something they might be regret.
Of course, stuff like this shouldn't even be a discussion to begin with, that's true. But most of them will probably agree with that and try to explain that they voted for Trump for completely different reasons and this has nothing to do with why they voted the way they did. So starting off the discussion implying that's the reason they voted for him at all is definitely starting things off on the wrong foot. Of course, to be clear, when you vote for someone, you definitely have to own the whole package, both the good and the bad. But nonetheless implying at all that this type of thing has anything to do with the reasons why they voted the way they did leads to nothing good.
Of course I know the intention isn't necessarily to be productive at all but to vent frustrations, which is perfectly understandable. But if we do want to get stuff done, stuff like this doesn't help and just leads to people yelling at each other and remaining angry at each other, for some very understandable reasons, but still. The point is it doesn't actually make anyone happy or change anything at all, so either way I don't get the point in calling people out like this. Either let them speak for themselves, or let their silence on such matters speak for itself if you will, but don't do stuff like this. Of course, there's the shame approach, but when you call people out any shame or regret they might feel turns into anger instead, so that kinda defeats the point, so it just doesn't seem to be good in any way.
Like had been brought up in this thread, it's totally understandable to hate Trump and everything he stands for which as someone who's bisexual is a feeling I know only too well. But no matter how justified those feelings may be, we can't let them consume us and make us lash out in ways that don't even benefit ourselves or make us feel better in any way. I don't know, I'm really bad at this if you couldn't tell. xD But nonetheless, I don't like seeing stuff like this regardless of who does it.
I had read Trump officially hopes and I'm not exactly sure if it makes any difference. ._.
In b4 "I'm not a racist"
Not a thing, fuckface. The 70-year-old businessman later said his remarks were "about a little deprecating humour which America lost for a long time".
Not a thing, fuckface.
Maybe we can start classes for him and the guys writing "satirical" fake news sites who have no idea what satire actually is.Someone give this guy a dictionary and circle the word 'humor', because he clearly doesn't know what it means. What an asshole.
Why is it ok to be openly racist in 2017? Jeezus
It's not.
It's not.
aka when America was great
For old white rich men.
Why is it ok to be openly racist in 2017? Jeezus
Not only is it okay, but it has become frowned upon to call it racism.
I've seen a lot of grey names today, can I ask what the thread was about?Well, I believe a number of them are banned right now after a certain thread on Gaming Side... really went south.
Trump's election has emboldened millions to be openly racistI don't think that's actually coming. I don't think people like him really give a shit if people know they're racist anymore. They think they've won.
Not only is it okay, but it has become frowned upon to call it racism.
This guy wouldn't know funny if it slapped him the face.
Conservatives claim that liberals are too sensitive when it comes to humor but I greatly disagree. Our favorite comedians are not PC at all. Look at Carlin, Louie CK, etc. They aren't PC in the slightest. It's just that their humor comes from a decent place. This guy's joke wasn't funny; it was completely tasteless and humorless. And that's the difference.
Why should the collective of Buffalo be embarrassed? I can't stand this fucking bozo but I shouldn't be lumped in with him because he happens to hold post here.Buffalo should be completely embarrassed by this. He has a history of doing this but I don't remember his previous comments making national news.
This scumbag needs to leave his position. How people can feel that a man with these views is a good fit for his school board position is absolutely beyond me.
Has Trump denounced him or does he only get angry at stage actors?
Has Trump denounced him or does he only get angry at stage actors?
They love to blame liberals and the media for being too "PC"Even when being called out for blatantly racist shit, they manage to paint themselves as the persecuted victims. "I was just joking, god why doesn't anyone have a sense of humor!?".
King-birther can denounce all he wants. I won't believe him.
Not only that, but ironically it's always the converstives that get sensitive when they hear:
- "Black Lives Matter"
- "Happy Holidays"
- Anything that suggests a less than perfect US History
- Anyrhing in Arabic
- Anything in Spanish
They also claim to love free speech, then will immediately bitch about seeing a flag being burned.
Ok. I can't deal with this shit anymore. Tuning out.
But these people usually cry if you call them a racist. Even the lady who called Michelle an ape in heels said she wasnt a racistI don't think that's actually coming. I don't think people like him really give a shit if people know they're racist anymore. They think they've won.
Ah, Well then.
I suppose if its in the name of what he calls "depreciative humor" then it'd be fair game to go after his wife, whom had the misfortune of marrying him and all that entails, and any offspring he's unfortunately been allowed to spawn then.
Y'know, all in the name of "depreciative humor" :^)
Maybe the US should consider sending him back to his ancestral habitat, which I suppose would be some kind of mafia controlled garbage dump outside of Naples. The most egregious part of this is that Michelle's family has been in the US for at least five generations, after which the records stop because of you know... goddamn slavery... Whereas this motherfucker is a first generation immigrant and he's telling her to get out of his country.
Too late.In b4 "I'm not a racist"
Chicago Tribune said:In a statement to The Post, Paladino denied that the comments were racist.
"It has nothing to do with race," Paladino said. "That's the typical stance of the press when they can't otherwise defend the acts of the person being attacked."
