Tune in tomorrow, March 27th, at 7 a.m. PT for a livestreamed Nintendo Direct (30 Minutes)

Sakurai is either a hype man or is dropping a hint.

remaster of Kid Icarus Uprising?

That'd be amazing.

But since he's also very close to the Kirby franchise him hinting at Kirby Planet Robobot seems more likely than Kid Icarus.

It's a shame we won't be getting any Switch 2 news. Because I'm sure they'll show a few things that will have most of us saying: "Yeah, that looks okay, but I wish we had some clarification on whether this is going to run better on Switch 2 or not".
Dude, in 2 weeks you have a Switch 2 Direct. You're way too needy.

I recently found my GameCube and bought a few games I never got the chance to play.

I am a man of timing, I honestly expect something GameCube related today from Nintendo.

Metroid Prime 2 + 3 Remaster it's all i need Nintendo
Celebration Severance GIF

Seems odd that Nintendo would remaster KI for the Switch and not have it get the eyes of a Switch 2 release. Also I don't see there being any Zelda as that wont be ready for Switch 2 so will need remakes to fill the gap.

You'll get that, plus a Zelda collection of WW and TP and a bit more.

I'm convinced Nintendo are making sure the Switch goes out with a bang.

There is so many switches out there it would be dumb just to cut all the revenue off. We will still see a lot of cross gen games for a long time.

Since portal 1 and 2 sold like crazy on switch,
i am pretty sure they will release the orange box on switch!
my uncle works at steam and he told me that gaben is remaking half life alyx to be played outside vr on the switch exclusively.

Nintendo saving gaming as always. Perked up for today but don't have huge expectations. I'm obviously more excited for next week.

Seems weird that they would have this just days before Switch 2 direct...
Switch 2 direct will probably be a hardware blow out, with maybe one or two launch titles demonstrated on it. While this direct will focus on Switch titles releasing in the immediate future.

If they show a surprise title, it will be surely something that S2 can also run but better. Next week they will make a point to show S1 games can run and look better on S2. Starting with Xenoblade Chronicles X which can run at 1440p/60.

Metroid Prime 4 will obviously be shown next week.

I'm still going to say it. The last game shown will be Nintendos first HD2D game. It will be an original super Mario bros collection for the Mario anniversary

Not sure about that. Nintendo didn't really flood the 3DS with cross gen games. Nor the Wii U for that matter.

couple years? I think it's sensible to expect cross-gen games from Nintendo throughout the whole SW2 lifespan.

How many years until Switch 2 even hits half of Switch 1's install base? There is going to be a lot of cross gen imo.

Even then, there will still be tens of millions with an OG Switch in hand. That's a lot of software sales. Nintendo will be happy if they can strike a balance between keeping software sales very high on the strength of the old installed base and reaching at least 60%-65% of SW1 unit sales at the end.

Any last minute predictions?
Kojima busts through Nintendo HQ and announce DS Mario edition and you can dress up as both mario and luigi and piss

And there will be a dodgy shot of Sam in a luigi outfit pointing a gun at a man in a suit and games media will misconstrue it as a reference to real-world events
