The New York Times reports the cities that received the letter were Phoenix; San Jose, Calif.; Los Angeles; Sacramento; San Diego; San Francisco; Denver; Washington; Jacksonville, Fla.; Orlando, Fla.; Miami; Atlanta; Chicago; Indianapolis; Baltimore; Detroit; Minneapolis; St. Louis; Las Vegas; New York; Boston; Rochester; Charlotte, N.C.; Columbus, Ohio; Tulsa, Okla.; Portland, Ore.; Philadelphia; Pittsburgh; Memphis; Nashville and Davidson County; Austin, Tex.; Dallas; Houston; San Antonio; and Seattle.

Pretty broad net of cities. Which would you like to see?

Hopefully not in the NYC area, it will completely cripple the city even worse and in 10 years the population will be much bigger already.

Columbus Ohio!!!

It probably wouldn't happen, the main push back then was to use it as an excuse to build all the major sporting teams new stadiums to support the Olympics, especially the Jets.

Since all the major sport teams blew there loads building new stadiums already there probably won't be that major push again.

I can see Texas though hosting it.

NYC? I don't know where they would even build the Olympic village at.

The Flushing area, or somewhere in Long Island or New Jersey.

Las Vegas/Phoenix is nutty unless the Olympics would be in late September.

Would be great for Vegas though, would finally get them some mass transit that the cab drivers union have so aggressively fought. Would also allow them to build a big stadium that could be used for Super Bowls, college bowl games and other big time events.

Please not here in Charlotte.

You wouldn't think it possible anyway, but then, nobody thought it was possible prior to Atlanta being awarded the 96 games.

But yeah... please not Charlotte.

Tulsa, Oklahoma?

I don't know much about that city, but somehow I think hosting the Olympics over there seems pretty unlikely.

Keep it out of California, please.
The Olympics is a terrible financial boondoggle for an event most people don't give a crap about.

The one thing where every metropolis in the US can see eye to eye on, even Boston vs. LA vs. New York.

KEEP THAT SHIT AWAY
