lol Nick acting like an angry girlfriend, wanting "MMA" to run after him like desperate boyfriend. Shut the fuck up you piece of Stockton trailer trash. You know you aren't "done with this shit" because despite what you and your yes men think, you have no real future as a boxer and would get your ass kicked against a remotely decent true boxer. Just shut up, smoke some weed, pull out your middle fingers and accept your fight against Josh Koschek on the undercard of GSP/Condit.

YO UGH.

Play the violin for Nick.

Disappointing main event. Carlos ran and Diaz didn't throw enough punches. I still had it 3-2 for diaz though as he controlled the fight.

At least the co main event was exciting.

GSP is going to wrestle condit for 5 rounds : (

It wasn't control. Backing down only to have you opponent slip out everytime, and landing shots on the way out isn't control. I didn't really care who won really I didn't have a favorite out of the two.

A lot of MMA fans don't realize that because they didn't watch boxing and aren't students of the fight game. Shit, that was all Sugar Ray leonard did and a lot of what Ali did. back up slip away and punish you on the way out.

Can you really blame Diaz for retiring when he doesn't want to play the point system with runners?

Condit never intended to finish. Killer my ass. Pointmaster is more like it.

Condit wasn't about to let Diaz pound him with combos against the cage like Diaz does to everyone else. He circled away and back to the center because that's the smart thing.

I had the first two rounds for Diaz and the 3rd and 4th for Condit. Condit was well ahead in the 5th until Diaz took him down and the first round was quite close.

Fair victory for Condit IMO. Diaz wasted too much time just walking forwards, taking minor blows before Condit escaped, chased him down...repeat. Diaz needed to mix it up of if he wanted the win there.

I'm pretty sure hell fight again, he'll get over it in a few days.

Credit to Condit but I don't think he has anything to trouble GSP with (on tonight's evidence neither does Nick). GSP will win comfortably and decision it probably. A shame cos I was hoping to see motivated GSP once more, he looked pretty gutted at the end.

Can't wait for Dana to "feel sick" again and duck all the questions about how his super fight has gone down the drain.

All I'm saying is that this isn't the fucking hunger games, stop trying to survive. This is Ultimate Fighting. FIGHT.

I hate point fighters.

Condit only backed (or ran) away when he was being cornered. Which is what every smart fighter should do.

When they were in the center of the ring he was going toe to toe with him. Sorry, he negated Diaz's only strategy. Welcome to combat sports.

I had Diaz taking Rds 1 and 2 for sure, 5 was a toss up. Carlos ran the whole time, so there's that. I'm not totally unconvinced that Nick couldn't have gotten the nod.

And who didnt see his QQ post fight coming?

wow at some of the responses. yeah, carlos did nothing but run away.... in between throwing countless spinning elbows/backfists, several flying knees, head kicks (several landed quite well), combos, etc.

you guys have nearly as much sand in your vagina's as diaz does =)

Right, but Condit isn't a point fighter. Dude finishes almost everyone, and Diaz is almost never finished, so you were bound to end up with a decision if Condit won. A Condit decision win is a very rare event.

Didn't really enjoy this PPV. The main card at least was pretty lame, Werdum/Nelson aside. Main event was really poor, maybe just cos I expected more of a "slug it out" type of match up. Condit fought smart but I think he also fought quite "negative". Diaz was too straightforward also.

Japan card should be good hopefully, looking forwards to that.

Yes, and very few of those actually landed (outside of Round 4).

Rogan saying "WHOA WHAT A FLYING KNEE" doesn't mean something actually landed.

It was a boring fight brah.

his game plan was not to get stuck on the fence and it worked out for him. diaz rage quit = lolzzzzz

Hahahaha, the idea is to win the fight. You can win in three ways, knockout, submission, or decision. All three are valid ways to win. Not everyone has knockout power, or submission ability, so they can rely upon decision. It is the opponent that must stop them from carrying out that plan, and Nick Diaz couldn't do it. Conduit executed his gameplan, and imposed his will on Diaz. Diaz did nothing to stop him. This isn't Bloodsport....

You and your deductive reasoning and seeing things with your 'eyes'. Every fight should be two guys bolted to the center of the octagon flailing at each other like rock em sock em robots.

That reporter at the press conference was really in tune with Nick's mindset. He was wondering if he was getting ready to retire before the fight even happened.

Tell me that after seeing the Nelson fight.
Diaz was fighting less than Condit.
He was the one moving forward and throwing more.

I don't really see how Diaz could take the first 2 rounds. Condit landed more in both of those rounds as far as I could see, the most Diaz got was a short body combo in round 2.

lol

I thought Diaz fans hated scoring fights for a fighter because of "control"?

Newsflash: Condit hit Diaz a fuckton more than Diaz hit him.

Not a diaz fan.......but he was more aggressive. Round 1, 2 diaz, 3, 4 go to condit, and round 5 to diaz for the takedown.

I agree Condit won the fight but he didn't land a massive amount more strikes than Diaz. Lets just stop that myth right now. He threw a ton but connected with maybe 20-30% of those strikes. Maybe 2 of the spinning strikes connected and neither of them solid. The strikes that won him the fight were the leg kicks.
