So what's ESPN's reaction to this loss. From what I hear, they love her.

They have a bunch of women who don't watch MMA commenting. Romona Shelburne (NBA reporter), Hannah Storm, and Cari Champion. It's kind of cringe inducing.

If people haven't heard yet. Jaw broken in three places. Possibly out for more than a year.

I don't like to comment on steroids, but I feel it was probably more diet / dolce than anything. That dude is about as hyped as Ronda.
THAT IS A JOKE SITE

The second time it was because Weidman checked his kick and broke his leg, the first was because Weidman punched him in the face. This whole "Silva beat himself" deal is silly like he KO'd himself or hit his own leg with a hammer.
Sure, he's getting on, but it's not like any old fighter would have KO'd him in the first fight, and Weidman was more than holding his own in that one before the KO. I've seen this narrative that acts like Weidman had nothing to do with his own two victories since 2013, it's just weird. Hell the whole reason he broke Silva's leg with the check was because he specifically trained to counter Silva's kicks after the first fight.

I mean this is what GSP had to say about the first fight:

Not "Silva is old and doddery and will knock himself out with his walking stick".

You can check a kick a thousand times and not break anyone's leg. Stop trying to make a total fluke look like some intended plan.

It seemed a little weird that "shockingvidz" would have the scoop, or that ESPN would have somehow missed the "oh, and her jaw is fucked" when reporting on the plastic surgery for her lip.

Was she on steroids before? Genuinely asking since you said this.

No. She's never failed a test even going back to her Olympic and World Championship Jude competition days.

Everyone in MMA partook to some degree. The stricter drug testing is causing a lot of altered looks for fighters.

Don't spread false information like this. Especially with so many people unfamiliar with the sport reading the thread. It's completely unfounded.

I wonder what happened.

I mean, I don't know the first thing about fighting but ... seems like Ronda shouldn't have been chasing her around like that.

Ronda will quit, try her luck at more mainstream stuff, realize nobody cares anymore now she's defeated, will crawl back to the UFC and get shut down again, retires for good joins WWE for a couple of months, disappears forever.

Jesus..

So if you never failed a drug test it just means you're really good at hiding it, huh?

Guilty until proven innocent.
Not that I'm accusing or implying she took drugs (because I'm not. I have no clue), but I could list a couple dozen athletes who "never failed a drug test."

Or she will get her rematch and have better people in her corner and win her belt back.

Her trainers let her down bigtime.

I keep watching the fight and im legit shocked at how one dimensional ronda is. I mean not even a single leg or a desperation double in her game? Wtf?

that means nothing, either way.

this obviously applies but not failing drug tests does not prove anything.

Not only has she not failed drug tests, she's shown nothing that would suggest that she's ever been on anything. She's not monstrously stronger than the other women in the division, her physique has never been stand out in comparison to other women in the division, and she hasn't been knocking every opponent out either. One of her previous KO's was from a Judo throw, another was a TKO started with a knee to the stomach.

Bullshit, no evidence statements like "oh she finally lost so she must've been on PEDs before this" only serve to shit on her AND the sport needlessly for no reason whatsoever. Like what is the point of baseless speculation like that?

Like others have stated, she lost in the worst possible way. She was outclassed from the beginning and then was viciously knocked out.

Also, too many people believed that once Ronda grabs you, it's over, without fully acknowledging how difficult it is to pull off against someone with a decent stand up game that also includes footwork.

Just saw the fight and wow it wasn't even close. I didn't know Holly was a champion boxer and kick boxer, probably the perfect make up of a fighter to beat a judo specialist like Rousey.

i was just merely pointing out that passing drug tests means nothing just as passing lie detector tests doesn't mean you weren't lying, testing i always one step behind.

i don't think she does drugs and even if, i wouldn't particularly care.

Ronda was due a loss, man. The hype she received was off the wall. I didn't really expect her to go undefeated or anything like that. She will probably be back. I expect her to get her rematch and that will be her last fight. I fully expect her to go to WWE eventually.

I'm ever so happy she lost but I don't care if she remains on the cover. As you see in MMA once again, nobody goes undefeated. Holly could lose before the game ships.

Ronda still created WMMA in the UFC as far as I'm concerned.
