Drake has bodied hundreds of trained soldiers, including much tougher opponents such as Lazarevic. Furthermore he clearly has excellent physical conditioning and upper body strength; climbing and scaling mountains is no easy feat.

Both Drake and Sam are bigger than Nadine and have defeated plenty of soldiers in hand to hand combat. For two men, who have killed hundreds of people, to struggle to fight a single woman is downright stupidity.

Some of the most awkward moments in my life were when I had to spar against women in combat sports. They have to do it in BJJ to understand what a real life situation is like against a man and how dangerous it is for them, but no one feels good about it afterwards.

One treasure hunter cannot take out an army of mercenaries. Realistically he would get killed but the aim is to have the player play a fun game. It's the same with all the crap storm troopers and James Bond villains who can't shoot for shit even though they're out in the open. Suspension of disbelief for artistic/funs sake.
I've seen numerous females watch breaking bad. Not a single one that hadn't brought up the attractiveness of the MC as a reason, because most aren't unreasonable to not watch based on something so petty and irrelevant.

Video Games aren't movies. In a movie you watch a character. In video games, a lot of people like TO BE the character. So from the start your analogy is flawed.

The actress has make-up, often quite a bit of it in a very stylized application, in EVERY PHOTO OF HER EVER.
She's an attractive girl, obviously spends a LOT of time on those abs, so the game art choices to represent her in the LEAST appealing way...yeah, I'm a gonna go with she took the paycheck and just shakes her head at why they are doing her game character dirty like that.

A lot of people also don't care when it's a set character. When I played perfect dark on an N64 I wasn't pretending to be a female, I wasn't pretending to be kid Link with long blond hair, or a panda in tekken or Voldo in Soul calibur. You would be surprised how many people don't want to BE the character like that. This is more than that though and has less to do with roleplaying.

The bald woman doesn't look like that %100, she's being created like that objectively, her appearance is limited by the designer's imagination, which means she's uglier than the real model.

Other than the hairstyle, her in-game model looks exactly as her real-life counterpart, including facial animations and those very noticeable eyebrows.

No question they modelled the in-game character heavily on the actress, I just think they zigged every time they could have zagged on making her look appealing and I doubt the actress herself would have wanted to be filmed looking like that on an actual set if 30 minutes in a make-up trailer was an option to at least get some foundation and some eye liner on. She knows how to do a "I'm not wearing make-up" make-up job

Everybody can loose almost against anybody if he/she lands some lucky hits. Fight sport exercise helps a lot to go against opponents that are way stronger than yourself. Btw, fighting in a ring is no mirror for the reality. E.g. men normally have an obvious weak spot if hit hard ...
In fight sports this is a no go, but in self defense...
Also I really don't like Drake or the uncharted series because he really can't do anything right, he just has damn much luck to not fall into his death, over and over again. He is always rescued by some coincidence. But I guess this is another topic

Sure, but there are countless examples of "not hot" male leads where no one seems to care. It's a double standard. Women, generally, need to be attractive. Men can be anything. Ugly, average, attractive, or smokin' hot and people rarely bat an eye.
Look, if y'all want hot girls, that's fine. You can want that in your media. But also don't make a big stink and act like it's an afront to an entire genre or pushing an agenda when you don't get what you want.
Honestly, I feel like a bunch of you guys just need to grow up. Being bothered by the attractiveness of a main character is weird. Like, I get it, Intergalactic's protagonist, for example, doesn't need to be that masculine but then Stellar Blade's Eve doesn't need to be that feminine. And yet both are characters that represent perfectly acceptable design choices.

Crash Bandicoot Warped, Jak 1/2/3 and Uncharted 2 are the best video games this studio ever made. Honorable mention goes to The Last of Us because it had a nicely executed story. That is all.

So much this. I was paired with a woman during one of my boxing trainings. She was a lot better than me when it came to technique but i could easily over power her and bring her down.
To me it felt weird throwing punches (curse you, my patriarchy ubringing!) but it was a reality check and hard lesson for her. Power fantasy ends when the first jab hits

I remember in primary/elementary school that another school brought a girl on their rugby team.
We were all worried that we might touch her boobs, or hurt her so went very soft on her. Even then she was a net detriment to their team, and our coach/headmaster made us go easy on them. We still scored over 100.
Whenever I've done martial arts I've hated sparring with females. It's simply just too imbalanced. Karate at least had kata that I could be shown up on. Aikido though... having this experienced woman trying to twist you onto the floor with all her might and you just feel like yawning...
