My currys one is still saying this with DPD:
“ We've received your order details, and we're expecting your parcel shortly”

Hopefully nothing wrong. I’m in Northern Ireland as well, so fingers crossed.

My GAME order is being delivered by Royal Mail Tracked 24- for delivery 8am tomorrow morning. No idea why some of you guys are getting delivery with Yodel.
The reason is in the email. Capacity. Delivery companies don't have unlimited capacity, and that's on a regional level too, don't forget. That's why they've had to enlist multiple couriers. And clearly Yodel said yes, we can take 'x' deliveries and then decided actually nah, we can't.

Yodel is the worst. Cheapest and their service shows why. GAME using them is an absolute joke and shows they don’t really care about gamers (amazing considering it’s what there business is based on), just about cutting costs.

Mines with Hermes so I’m not expecting much better

Exactly, shit owners I win hands down every time.

Hate the glazers, hate Stan kronke all you like - least you can identify an owner. And you make millions in the prem.

Yodel are Birmingham city.

I know someone who works at Royal Mail and the Mail centres are struggling to clear the huge volume of mail arriving in them at the moment, and they are not able to sorteverything for next day delivery, too many parcels, and not enough staff.

Hope you get your ps5 on time.

It is a shame that deliveries are having to be done over a couple of days but in defense of the delivery companies the current situation is a perfect storm. Pandemic, lockdown meaning massive increase in deliveries and console launches on top of being the busiest time of year. Shortage of drivers and I know as a delivery driver myself when working (though thankfully not these last mile 140-200 stops/day drivers) these drivers go through hell even in normal times this time of year.

Last December I was speaking to a clearly ill and stressed looking driver that delivered a parcel to my work and asked if he was OK and he told me (around 11am) we were only his 11th delivery of 140 for that day and had been working 16 hour days all week....Felt so bad for him even though my work that week was bonkers too. Can only imagine how shit it must be for these drivers right now. I did briefly look into doing some temp delivery work for Amazon during the first lockdown. Very briefly.

Hermes don’t even have the ps5 yet. Just says “expected”. Gonna be getting ready to cancel my day off tomorrow at this rate
That is perfectly normal.

Honestly has no one ever ordered anything with next day delivery before? It gets picked up in the dead of night, driven to your local depot through the early hours of the morning and then Mr or Mrs Driver arrives at the crack of dawn ready to collect their day's load.

Dead of night = less traffic = quicker journeys = fuel saved = more profit.

Like take Next - who use Hermes - their next day delivery cut off is midnight. I literally have over 3 hours left to order an item and get it by tomorrow and you're worried they haven't picked it up yet!

Man Amazon are a funny bunch.

I ordered a Noctua case fan at 7pm tonight. Dispatched already and on the way tomorrow.

Yet some who ordered PS5's in September first wave might not get them tomorrow? It's a joke really. And IMO reeks of sheer incompetence, from Amazon, GAME, *insert delivery courier here* etc etc... (Big ups ShopTo)

There has been 2 months to sort this out for people. The UK launch has felt like a disaster on the delivery angle no matter who the company you've ordered from is.

Gonna have to disagree there. Shopto have handled it wonderfully imo and are seemingly the only company who have beat scalpers.

That's good news then.

Tbf, I've never ordered personally from them before. However, my mate I used to work with did rave about them for ordering from. So I'll exclude them (y)

Just got a text from Smyths saying my PS5 is ready to collect...

Issue being the shop is closed so it would be an impossibility, but at least I've got my confirmation email for tomorrow :messenger_beaming:

Day off should have been Friday bro. I took the next day off so I can use work on Thursday to distract me from the suspense of waiting to see of the courier will turn up.

I have two codes if anyone wants them;

Cyberpunk or Watchdogs from Game for £40.

Also Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Avengers, Control: Ultimate Editon or Dirt 5 from Game for £30.

I know my local sorting office cannot process the increased volumes and its not helped by the employees not being able to socially distance inside the sorting office, so they're working with reduced staff numbers.

Should be something like manage this order on your confirmation or words to that effect in a red box.

My first job after school was Royal Mail. Height of Bros mania, all the lads would out their gifts from fans into a seperate area and kick shit out of them.

Will be collecting mine from game in the morning, has anyone tried buying PSN vouchers from GAME’s website?

i used all my game wallet credit to buy some earlier, however I’ve still not received the code via email, I’m now worrying it’s going to be the actual voucher card, in which case the new owners at my old house are in for a treat.....

So my PS5 order is in the ‘Back-Orders’ on the Shop To site. Which means I won’t get it tomorrow but does anyone know when they will have more? Or am I best off trying to get a PS5 ordered today?

Not UK but EU and I can't be bothered to search the Europe thread.

Fuck yeah! Getting my PS5 tomorrow, got my confirmation email to pick it up.

I’ve got mine coming between 8:30 and 10:30am. I decided to pay £10 to “upgrade” my delivery.

I ended up using AO.com which doesn’t really seem to be a retailer many look at for gaming, which is why I probably got lucky.

Anyway I’m looking forward to getting it.....
