Just got back from a long day of door to door in Telford, things looking super close there. But I was hearing on the grapevine that labour had lost a bunch of seats, then I come back to this exit poll? This is not what I heard internally lol, though I've no idea how reliable what I heard was.

I'm going to frame this if the result is true

Wrexham rumoured to go Conservative???????

Lucas had a 2k advantage and it's usually a real pro labour area?

I voted Labour here 3 hours ago :(

Been out all day campaigning for Rupa Huq in the key battleground of Ealing Central and Acton and the poll suggests she will hold!

Yay!

I'm no fan of Corbyn but this poll, if it comes to be, is great result for those of us that don't support brexit. SNP and Lib-dems will be able to throw their weight around. If this comes true...there is hope.

What? This is great! The Tories are hopefully going to be shafted and we'll see the back of May. There is still actually the skim chance we'll get a genuine socialist as prime minister.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I have nothing but contempt for May. I just realized that now both the UK and the USA are in the middle of perhaps the biggest political crisis in decades.

You're a big guy.
A brexit negotiation which has to compromise with lib dems would be nice eh

This election Jeremy just said fuck it, let's do it and be legends man... and it seems to have worked out nicely.

If they are as wrong as they were last time Tories could get a majority. Don't think they will be though. This is fucking hilarious. I feel like this right now...

Even if they just eek out a majority it's still a loss for May because the whole point of calling this election was to get a huge majority, instead it got them nothing and she looks like an idiot. That's the better case scenario for them too.

Politics is the gift that keeps on giving recently if we get a hung parliament.

Will be talking about this for years if May gets killed off.

Why is polling in the UK and the US so hard? In Germany we have projections as soon as the polling closes and they're usually pretty accurate.

The UK and German voting systems are different. In Germany, we vote both for a member of parliament for our voting district, and a party. Each party will be represented in parliament based on the share of votes they get with that second vote, regardless of how many members of a party got elected directly with the first vote.

In the UK, it's just all or nothing. If Labour wins a district, then all other votes of that district are without any meaning.

Based on that, it's much easier to reliable data from exit polls in Germany.
