As a species, we will survive. As will many others. Many will also go extinct.
The point is, that will be with great suffering for almost every living thing. All when it is avoidable.
Sorry but this shows a fundamental misunderstanding of the natural world. There's this idea that there's some utopic sort of stasis to strive towards when that's not how it works. There's always revolution and counter-revolution in planetary ecology, when a system collapses for any reason what gets rebuilt in its place is often unrecognizable to what was formerly there.
We just tend not to recognize this because the time-scales are incomprehensible to us within the context of our short lives. Not to mention the sheer hubris of our perceived "control" over the natural order. We are not in control. Covid should have taught us all that.
