Not necessarily, a LibDem/Labour coalition is equally likely, even thought the whole situation is very weird.

but what if a Lab/LibDem coalition still doesn't get a majority? a sort of weird minority coalition?

Who would even want this job? What a poisoned chalice to inherit, no mandate to govern and a financially crippled country which will force deeply unpopular cuts that will haunt their party for a generation. Brown and Cameron should be fighting over who doesn't get the job :lol

:lol Oh to be a politician...

It would certainly make everything incredibly awkward!

I wonder what made Scotland so massively Labour this time around...

So to all the Gaffers that voted lib dem, do you feel like your vote was wasted ?
An excellent question, and undoubtedly yes.

Who I vote for next time depends on what system the election is under, which is why I'm rooting for a Lab/Lib coalition, and the promised electoral reform that follows.

With the Tories, I get nothing. As do the rest of Britain's poor.

This is my answer.

Don't check the financial markets. The pound is falling like a rock.

To be fair, financial markets hate uncertainty and this is probably the most uncertain "what we gonna do now" outcome possible.

I see my decision to move my Mario Galaxy 2 import preorder from credit card to immediate Paypal payment was a good one!

Do you guys honestly feel your votes were wasted? You should feel proud of who you voted for. What might have happened if you didnt vote LD?

I don't get paid in pounds, so it's all gravy. If the pound stays below 1700 won then I'll be tempted to send some money home next week.

Nothing. Conservatives have a cosy majority in my constituency. Screw FPTP.

Ironic that the actual outcome pretty much represents the views of the British people (as in the "they're all as bad as each other and i just don't know who im gonna vote for").

You guys should be happy that your currency is depreciating. Will help exports.

I want the dollar to fall. :(
Considering the amount of importing I do from Japan and the US, the pound going down costs me an absolute ton. So no, I'm not happy about it ;_;

$/£ since midnight. FTSE is probably going to take a beating when it opens as well.

Keep in mind you're taking pounds with you. You're going to get screwed over.

1 pound was worth almost 2000 won when I came here last year. Right now it's sitting at 1686.

I'm honestly disgusted with the British electorate.

Of course if they voted your way, you'd be happy that they finally saw the light.:lol

LULz at the this doom and gloom stuff (not just from you), you'd think George W. Bush or John McCain won compared to a Arlen Spector or Henry M. Jackson. It's not that bad. I swear it seems like a collective suicide pact is coming up on the horizon. :lol

Louise fucking Ellman would've had one more vote on her huge majority. In short, nothing :lol

Well he's not wrong. Cameron's not saying HE has a mandate to govern, he's just saying Labour has lost theirs, which is true.

Yeah you're right. I guess I was just hoping for a snappier soundbite, but it's been a long night for everyone. With the obscene amount of money conservatives spent on advertising they didn't think it would all be this close.

It looks like all the x-factor viewers who watched the TV debates realised that they arent actually old enough to vote so cleggs whole support has fallen off.

The amount of people ive meant who were going to vote for clegg 'becuase he looked good on tv' but had absolutely no idea about any of his policies made me want to go all purple-shirted-eye-stabber.

Any chance of Conservatives reaching 321 majority with DUP (8 seats) Northern Ireland alliance?

Sinn Fein seats don't count as they won't take the oath so that effectlvely takes 4 seats away.

That'd be really cool if we made anything worth exporting!

But noooooo...Maggie Thatcher saw to the end of that in the 80's!

That's such crap they're even allowed to stand for the election. Makes me just want troll Gerry Adams and constantly call him a British subject.

Damn I forgot those bastards keep their currency aligned with ours. We can’t win if they depreciate themselves against us!

How do you feel about Tory and Labour nutjobs?

I hate this political doublespeak sometimes. This Tory dobber is like an answering machine.

I'm hoping George Galloway gets elected just so we can have Galloway vs. Paxman 2.
