Thanks man, any other playstyle tips? I just found out how good his overheads are, which is pretty sweet, I'll work on incorporating the canceled spiderstings you mentioned with it. Is it possible to combo after ultimate Web Throw now that he has an otg? I can get the web to hit, but I can't get anything after. I'm pretty weak when it comes to Spiderman.

I know hurtboxes change, but it's utterly ridiculous that nemesis is missing them on the lower half of his body when he jumps. :/

He's just trying to bait him into showing up to tournaments. Speaking of Max, how come even the most basic Maximillian videos on how to flip switches in training mode show up on the SRK front page, but the best stuff from Cross Counter(interviews, guides, sets) almost never show up? I saw a video from EVO where Skisonic had a bad reaction from just hearing Gootecks' name. Did something happen?
He has a low jump arc, maybe he wouldn't be able to jump over some characters if his hurtbox was lowered? I don't know how the Marvel engine deals with that.

You can combo after UWT with a zipline, jH, sM, etc. Don't bother mashing it, it makes it harder to do subsequent hits afterwards.
Only mash if the extra 30,000 damage will kill I suppose.
Maybe Im mistaken, but its shots at Mike Ross/Gootecks/Cross Counter. They have released numerious tutorial videos.

Nah, it's Max. Mike and co, played folks like combo a lot.
He says tutorials from people who never show up at majors. Mike Ross and other CC players pla Marvel at majors all the time.
It sounds like Max, he even mentions online warrior.

I get the impression that some people aren't exactly in love with Gootecks monetization of fighting game tournaments. If you watch his stuff on I Got Next, he basically admits that he's only really into the fgc to potentially make money down the line. He doesn't want to work a normal job, so he has to make his money in other ways. So he teamed up with a well loved player and now he's actually making his monies.
This is purely speculation on my part. I still love Gootecks and I don't think there's anything wrong with making money by selling matches per se.

This is true to an extent, but he's gotten better at actually delivering stuff worth its asking price over the years, in addition to providing a whole lot of entertainment for free that he's not obligated to provide in the slightest.
I remember when he was charging for training sessions over Xbox Live. People ripped on it as being "a money match that he always wins."

Wolverine's Berserker Slash doesn't have the priority that it appears to have. It's actually well within the arc of his slash that shows up graphically.

I don't know why you have to be a top player to put out instructional videos. If you are a top player... you don't need instructional videos it's for those who actually need it. It's also difficult enough participating in tournaments regularly, training and playing the game while also putting out video content (with high productions as well). I guess props to Jago as he finds the balance in everything.

Hm, well I guess he just doesn't get on the stream that often, because I haven't seen him too often.
He was at EVO, I played Ultimate against him a couple of times at the demo stations Capcom had up. We were going back and forth most of the time, though to be fair he was coming to grips with Strider.

The one thing I don't get with Jago calling out Max is Max never claims to be "good" at Marvel in any of his videos. So it seems like it's a challenge made for somebody who doesn't necessarily care about it to begin with.
Problem I have with Max is how vehemently he used to express how stupid he felt playing games competitively is/was only to petition that same community in various ways to promote his new occupation later. I understand things change, so I don't hold it against him too much, but I'm weary of him.

I am not sure I follow - I do want to say that I remember he saying he felt stupid because he would get nervous and would never do well; he did mention that it's commitment that he could not keep to be involved professionally, so he focused more on his interests of film production and fighting games
and Max comes off as a regular guy who loves the game for whatever they are, and he is interested to simply share with the community for the love of the game. Not to mention his videos are well done

Also on the whole cross counter thing, they were basically doing infomercials and selling freely available info early in the life of sf4, i wouldn't be surprised if along the way they offended a few people. I basically lost interest when they charged money to explain frame data, in a podcast with ed ma iirc. Tho i still watch their YouTube videos sometimes.

What I really wish is that people would show off more on how to capitalize off certain situations (something like how Fanatiq can combo off of every thing with Mags...) and resets, instead of just one combo shown off one particular way. Don't get me wrong, you need to learn bnb's, but you also need to learn how to actually start the shit if things don't go as planned. Viscant's Wesker video was amazing for that.

Shots fired indeed, can't imagine how big his head would be if he managed to get to top 3. But Max never claims that his info was tournament viable, at best a fairly good online player with good tips to being decent at the game.

Jago doesn't really hate anybody. This is just his way of invigorating the scene by forcing hype into matches. He and Yipes had a little exchange about it in one of the Cross Counter DVDs. He has every reason to keep doing it.
