Yay, completed my Wesker glassesless BnB.
Teleport H, jS, 2H, Cobra Strike xx Teleport L, Low Shot, 2HS, jH, jS, A1(Slant Shot), Low Shot, Ghost Butterfly, dash, 2HS, jHS, Teleport H, Low Shot xx THC
-1.5 bars, 1,050,500 damage
Works anywhere on the screen, on all characters, and only uses one assist. Without the THC, I can add A2(Triple Shot) for a meterless ~750k if I didn't use it to confirm the combo, it's ~700k if I did. Ends in the corner, of course.
Basically, I only use this combo if they escape my mixup on the way in because Wesker's teleport distances can be kind of wonky mid screen and I won't always push them into a good reset position(might have to end the combo before I take half health and at that point I'd probably have to use meter after the reset anyway which would make it pointless).
I like starting with Teleport H instead of L a lot because at the distance I approach(low shot max distance), low shot hits from the front, triple shot hits from the back then pushes them slightly so falling S hits from the front again. If I do decide to use Teleport L, I always do it blankly with triple shot so they have to react without the gunshot.
Anyway, a perfect game with Wesker would go like this:
- Tag point character, push to corner, phantom dance + snap out(usually anchor) - now less than 1 meter
- Coming in: OS jH2H to 5-way corner mixup, reset for meterless kill - now 2.5-3 meters
- Coming in: OS jH2H to 5-way corner mixup, kill with level 3 - now ~1.5 meters
- Coming in: OS jH2H to 5-way corner mixup, kill with x-factor
Of course, it almost never goes this well, so that's why I've been working really hard on when and how best to use Wesker's defensive techniques like his counters. I still haven't found a great reason to use Jaguar Dash, I'm thinking it might have a good forward hitbox? You can call assists during the Kick part for some reason then cancel into Cobra Strike and teleport, so my theory is that I can use Jaguar Dash for the pinning, and my assist as the mixup. I need to test more of which characters will get hit by Slant Shot at point blank range when crouching.
Definitely situational.
