Vergil's yamato slash won't cut through Adamantium, but you can overload Wolverine's healing abilities. You just have to keep slashing, pounding and shooting at him for a long ass time(emphasis on the long) until it shuts down. Definitely really hard to kill though.

A more interesting fight would be bone claw Wolvie instead. You wanna see what happens when you take 200lbs off Wolverine's frame and he doesn't have to deal with constant adamantium poison? Permanent XF3 comes to mind...
 
I don't think it's confirmed anywhere that you can fight against other players Offline in this mode or if there is a H&H training mode. That would be a major hype killer if it was CPU only in offline mode.

Vergil is the same... both the sons get tired after extreme blood loss. But they are both much faster than Wolverine and with Devil Trigger it ups their regeneration a ton. And their abilities aren't even fixed, they gain/learn new stuff like Dante can bend time, duplicate himself and fly. And no one really knows the properties of Vergil's dimensional slashes.

I want a Bone Claw Wolverine card please.

Vergil would have the advantage on the merit of his speed alone. That, coupled with his teleports/summoned swords, would give Wolverine a rough time getting in on him. The main problem Vergil would have is incapacitating Wolverine, but like Solarpowered mentioned, his healing factor can be overloaded and he can be put down, albeit for a short time.

I really can recommend you at least getting Ultimate. It'll be only 40 bucks, and it's the fucking hypest game in existence.
 
I think your fanbase has a bit of an obsession with the word "hype." I saw "was so hype," "get hyped," some guy on Youtube's "Hype meter rating," and now "hypest." :P

Most likely I'll pick it up with my Vita down the line a bit.

The thing is, though, it's totally true. If you watch tournaments, no game is as awesome and OMG and making your heartrate go up like dat Mahvel.
 
So I just ran into some money to give me extra spending this holiday season. UMvC3 looks like it'll be a buy for me along with KoF13.

If that comes to be then I'm rocking Zero, Ironfist, and Deadpool I think. My original team is Zero, Sentinel, Deadpool, and sometimes I used Chris instead of Sent, but Ironfist is a must for me.

I heard Zero got buffs? Anyone got a link to what he got or a quick bullet point run down of what they can recall? I love his combos and his level 3 makes me swoon every damn time. ;D

The most important thing is that he can cancel his specials into a level 3 buster shot. Which is bullshit. Fuck you, Zero.
 
Not really. Each character will get an additional costume along the line. Other than that a lot of vague stuff concerning the bonus for orginal MvC3 owners (it's something small) and some things concerning some characters not making it in because they didn't fit balance wise, but no specific names.

Hm my theory fighter isn't opening up the possibilities with this enough I guess, but what's some immediate cheap stuff thought of being possible with this? Like, Mix up over head swing, cancel into level 3 shot, assist tag on ground, repeat ?

Nothing at all, for the most part people were asking questions that they should have known wouldn't get proper answers over and over. Heroes and Heralds was referenced in a question where someone asked about the odds of getting MvC1 style assists (assists of non-playable obscure characters). Niitsuma said H&H was their way of repping those characters and that was it.
 
I like that he answered the question about characters so specifically. He totally would've added a Darkstalker and a couple of MvC2 vets from Marvel's side if given the chance haha.

I wish they'd get the chance to make DLC characters again.

He said like a million things that we already know about the card mode, but it doesn't seem like he wanted to go further.

They are still tweaking how long the cards last, whether they burn out or if they are usable from start and such. They don't want it to get out of control.

Totally ignoring the fact that airdashing is one of Spidey's most central aspects. >-<

Realization: Maybe giving She-Hulk a dash was just an animation test or tease for H&H. I really wonder how they're handling teleport, dash, etc. animations for characters without them.

Unnecessary. No one uses Tournament mode in SF4 so they probably used that as a metric to not put it in other games.
 
I'm looking forward to week long clan tournies here on GAF. Team that wins is determined by win/loss record of whole team and if that week long time factor is a built in thing it can't simply go on for 8 months with no one showing for their matches because the game would default the wins to one of the teams and award the cards to them.

Plus I really look forward to spectator mode in heroes vs heralds online with folks. The gif worthy shit some of us will pull shall be legendary. Invisible Dark Phoenix, same character, 3 meters. For troll team.

Maybe no one plays it online...but me and my friends would love the option for local multiplayer, as would lots of others I'm sure.
 
Anyone going to be free the entirety of NOV 15th on gaf? We could do a dry tourney for shits starting around 6 pm or something to give everyone time to pick up there copies. Follow it up with several heroes vs heralds lobbies or something on the day that mode drops. It'd be kind of cool.

I was about to say "not me" since it's almost going to be finals here around that time, but then I remembered I don't have classes Tuesdays or Wednesday which means I can play MAHVEL all day long when it comes out :D

I would too Smash-style, but it's of limited use in ACTUAL tournaments which Capcom caters to most. I usually just end up making my own brackets with a piece of paper for my tournaments, it's not that hard so I'm not complaining. I'd rather something like replay saving become a standard.
