Magneto will still be a force to be reckoned with in ultimate. He has tools doom does not, like a much better more generally useful lvl3 (hell, all of his hypers are good). Who knows how it will turn out.

Doom is and always has been way more swag than magneto. Max only has one tri-dashing best friend, and we know who he chose!

This is the truth and why I have a problem with Doom in UMVC3 (and some what C Viper).

Doom killed characters in vanilla without even using DHC glitch. He was one of the VERY few characters from vanilla who is left unaffected by the new HSD system and hence since he is "more of the same" it's a buff. Also didn't know about the j.H having more hit stun, enough to get a combo off of it.

I pretty much understand most of the She Hulk changes now. They want you to use her Runner stance cancel moves more than just herp derp slide + j.H all day. The 3 point super armor on her Runner stance move is HUGE, you can clock someone from mid screen with the clothesline if they are just mashing. The faster run cancel makes it that you can use Torpedo to get in and set up a wall bounce combo. Of course you won't get the full damage from the hyper because they don't really want you to be doing TODs with She Hulk (basically BnB from She Hulk into a DHC kills characters if you have seen Combofiend at work) but instead you will be going for resets and stuff which is what the game has more or less turned into (more resets less TODs... at least for most of the cast).

She Hulk is still High tier in the game folks... you will just have to make some adjustments to her play and use her buffed moves more often to get in plus use different combos.

Dem Dorm buffs... nice. Too bad Max didn't check if cr.M has less hit stun or not. WTF @ 2 flame carpets at once... BUFF!!!!

Magneto is still Swagneto. Still can combo after LVL3 like a BOSS.

No more 3 hit armor on Hulk st.H? Neither confirmed nor de-confirmed strange. The charge move of Hulk gives him a great element of mind game during block strings. L, M, charge M see opponents reaction... if they attempt a button let go of punch and absorb hits with super armor, if they keep block go for grab if they jump anti-air grab.

I definitely knew that there were stuff in the game that the changelog didn't mention. Props to Max for sneaking them in. :)

Lol WHAT? Don't change him for Doom then unless of course you are one of THOSE people. There isn't a huge difference between Doom and Magneto, Magneto has better hypers over all more utility in zoning (thanks to the positioning moves), slide move, orthodox movement and still a better throw game. Doom has dive kick, more health, unorthodox movement and overall better assists.

Dorm not Doom.

It matters because it's his go to anti-air move that he can hit confirm into launcher easily. The hit stun change meant that he would have to do the launcher really early for the combo. Before he could just get the hit and even delay the launcher for a combo.

Not too big of a nerf/change but something that still should be addressed if it exists.

c.H does something weird to airborne opponents like knocking them away and hits really low if I remember correctly (haven't played Dorm in so long ;_;). c.M was safe as hell too, because the big ass hitbox pushed the opponent a fair bit away - but if it hit, they were dead smack bang in front of you.

I abused the hell out of c.M in my early Dorm days :D
 
Dat Hulk. All those wall bounces and extra super armor. That guy was frustrating before at times , but now he seems like a damned nightmare with how easilyhe can extend that shit.

So like, does j.xfc reset special move limits and fly? And is there still no HSD after a TAC? I want to try some double swag combos...
 
As a magnus player ive always wanted dooms ability to dash cancel his normals now that magneto is way slower than before and doom getting a better foot dive is like somebody said doom is the mags, mags is the old doom
 
Why the fuck does Doom get to keep a Tri-dash with integrity and the two characters I actually play (Mags and Iron Man) have theirs significantly nerfed? I don't get it.

Doctor Doom planned ahead obviously. No one can beat the Doctor if he plans properly.
 
She Hulk is still looking pretty good right now. She plays a little less like a pixie and more like a heavy character. I also like the fact that she is a heavier. It is a nice buff in the same way that Iron Man has benefited from being heavier. It makes the opponent have to settle for She Hulk specific combos which always makes them easier to drop.

Dormammu got pretty much everything he needed to be a force in UMvC3 too. LOL @ the Magneto dissapointment when the guy can still convert a single touch midscreen into a corner combo for 600k+ damage haha.

Doom has an unorthodox mobility style? He can dash cancel his normals but not the other way around. Also prep yourself for some Dante nerfs too if you play him as well.

It is a nice buff in the same way that Iron Man has benefited from being heavier.
It's both a buff and a nerf. While particular combos will drop on Iron Man, some combos are only possible on Iron Man like a particular 700-800K Iron Man exclusive Jill combo.

I was the one who said that. I also said Iron Man is the new Iron Man. Although there isn't a huge gap between Magneto and Doom because Magneto is still insanely strong just not extremely difficult to block now. Magneto's nerfs were extremely just, no character deserves to be a monster at both rushdown and zoning.

Also Doom and Magneto are probably the same overall speed now. Magneto before was much faster than Doom. I know it looks as if Doom is like a metric ton faster than Magneto but it really isn't, everyone is just so used to light speed Magneto that when he is toned down to slightly faster than vanilla Doom he looks like he is running on molasses.


I updated the changelog with some of the minor discoveries in Max's video. Stuff like increased hit stun on Doom's j.H, 3 hits of super armor on She Hulk's Chariot and 2 flame carpets at once.

Just saw Max's Change log video.

She-Hulk is not definite same Jennifer Walters that I used to main. I don't know what to say but I can say this that we will have to change our habits and play her very different. I am not even sure that she will be good as she was in MVC3. I really hope that she is playable and viable in tournament but few pro already dropped her so that is not good thing to heard about.

People are so wrong about Dr. Doom being Top Tier. He isn't.

HE IS IN HIS OWN TIER! DOOM TIER!

One thing about Doom that makes him strong that I never see anyone use is his dash cancellable on block command launcher. 2Lxx6H9(AA) is such a stupid good hit confirm. Even Clockwork doesn't know about it, he said that Doom doesn't have a good confirm in his tutorial.

Doom's dashes were always faster than Magneto's though, and he can execute them much lower. Sure, you have to tridash instead of wavedash, but it's not much of a difference, expecially if you're a madman and super jump up and normal cancel down every one.
 
Is the hitbox for Dorm's flame carpet still retarded?

In Vanilla, it would whiff on crouching opponents sometimes (completely miss) and hit upon standing, leaving you in a weird situation if you accidentally crouched next to one with certain characters.

It's not listed in the changelog but in the builds it had less hit stun (like opponents would pop out earlier before a launcher). Cause one of the general HSD changes made to the game or could be one of the various things they didn't mention in the changelog like faster Dorm specials and 2 Flame carpets at once.
