The main problem i have with the changelog is the fact that even the fucking top tiers got buffed.

I read it as "Increased I-Frame startup" meaning that it takes longer for the invincible frames to start up, and they decreased the total amount of i-frames in the move altogether. Thought people had noted Hammer was worse than Vanilla in the more recent builds, too.

They have nerfed Wesker in 3 areas where he was top at: Gun shot shenanigans, X Factor bonuses (Wesker was the dark prince of X Factor bull shittery) and above average health. Contrary to popular belief Wesker is NOT a high damage character at all, he tops out rather quickly and without assists his damage is average at best and his teleports punishable. LVL3 XF negated both of these weaknesses and made him godlike. I foresee many Weskers shifted to point status in UMVC3 where he truly belongs as his LVL1 hypers are bad, his reset game is great and his new gimmick is essentially centered around saving your meter for passive bonuses.

He does have unsafe moves and he isn't a high damage character. It's just that his basic ABC stuff isn't easily punishable and most people are too scared to punish his teleports. You basically just need to get mid screen, wait for a cool down on assist or air special and just Slash your way in. If they block/AG another H B Slash into B Charge for pressure/mix up with an assist call.
I am still surprised people think Wolverine is going to be anything lower than Upper mid in this game. What has changed is that he has to think before he does QCB. The thing about the B Slash is that once someone is jumping up, it's still a free in. Once someone dies by the hand of Wolverine it's still a 50/50 mix up and it's still going to hurt about the same.

Still more to learn on Dante and he is still capable of TODs if he has meters or assists on deck.Also, I agree with Dahbomb's analysis on Dante, but kinda feel slightly deflated since in my eyes, Dante should be a character where ToDs are his gameplan. If anything, all the things he pulls off getting closer to that should require the highest and tightest execution to prevent getting "lol stupid" with the character.
imo hsien-ko got buffed in the form of how everyone else has changed. shes a character that deals well against zoners; zoners just got buffed and should expect to see more in umvc3. shes a character that sucks against rushdown; rushdown characters got nerfed and should expect to see less in umvc3.SolarKnight said:End of an era.

As far as the top half of the cast is concerned, if they gave Viper, Zero and Doom reduction in damage scaling (more specifically specials on Viper and normals on Doom) I would say it's a healthy top half.
That's going to be a while considering he has so many Marvel characters still left. Plus the Vergil assist me video as well as the IF/PW Q&A session. Plus random game play footage. I don't know how he's going to do it... oh not to mention the up coming reveals with the breakdown.Oh Maaaaaaaaax.... Could you be a bro and show some of that off when you get the chance?![]()

Of course Dante is pretty much nowadays always used with assists since people have realized where his strengths are so he will usually have boosts to his damage. Also Devil Trigger if he has the option which really ups his damage with Air Raids (probably more important now since combos involving Air Raid do a ton of damage and still should do a lot).
