Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Multiplayer |OT| Swinging To Victory

14 more skins/presets and I'll have all the vanity items thus far released. I wonder if they'll just lock off the chest or what. Dunno if I'll start buying hero weapons or just save up for the first content update.

Save for the first update since you can unlock hero weapons and mystical mods through progression.

You can buy boosters, but they're a huge waste imo.

I have like 45 keys on the app but not enough gold to open them. Also... haven't got a single relic chest on the app today..... may just stick with challenges. Casual Elena is the only thing I really want. I have all of Elena's skins except that one and another.

I'm just waiting for the app to update with the new puzzles already. Got a Sully skin and a hat stuck in that thing that you can't get yet. Plus I need my relic income, even if it's drastically reduced.

I am having a TREMENDOUS amount of fun in this multiplayer. More than I did with Uncharted 3.

It's about even keel for me. Much less bullshit (power plays, "too close to call," even though one team has 50 KILLS AND THE OTHER HAS FEWER, quick boom, RNG treasures to unlock stuff)), but it's a bit skimpy on viable modes so far. Every plunder game I've played has had some strange glitch occur (dual idols!) and the command game type is all right, but I want other objective stuff.

And of course, co-op is needed dearly. Especially co-op adventure that features areas from the main game.

with overwatch making a huge splash as an entirely objective and team oriented shooter... i really hope we get team objective sooner rather than later. a ranked objective playlist would be welcome too.

Can someone explain the two currencies for me? I get that I get blue currency for doing well in matches and competing "challenges", but how do I get more of the gold currency? Can I unlock everything using both currencies? What if I just want guns and skins and not one-time boosters?

You can buy gold currency with real money, but I haven't found much use for it. Hero weapons can't be bought with it and cosmetic items are obtainable easily enough. I almost bought some but then realized how useless it is.

Also prices in this game practically discourage using it. UC3 was about $1.99 a character I think, maybe less. Here they're $5.00!

What are the chances of them getting rid of villains and heroes sides? Just mix them all up?
I'm just not a fan of not being able to play every match as the character I really want to play as.

Well, I guess Command is my game. I do well in it.

Plunder is such a fucking nightmare, seems like most people think it's "Shoot everyone, only when you can't find anything to shoot do you go for the idol. If people to shoot show up, drop the idol and engage. Rinse and repeat till you lose."

I just don't understand why people can't understand the simple rule of "Someone grab the idol, everyone else escort and cover them."

I don't understand why picking up the idol requires R3 instead of triangle... why ND?

Also, congrats for making the netcode more lag-friendly. I can't wait to see those iconic shotgun AKs and people skating across the map. It ain't a true Uncharted experience without them.

It got it after a patch and only after a lot of time begging for it.

Really? I thought I remembered it being in the beta.

What I do remember being annoyed about is how they limited which colors you could choose on certain characters, even though while navigating the menus, you could briefly see colors from one character's shirt or whatever jump to the next character before loading the proper color, so they could have implemented more choice. I know a full range isn't necessarily a good idea though, or you'll get gaudy ugly things ruining the game (not that some of the alternate skins/presets aren't already doing that).

Reload is triangle. It sucks but ah well.

That's basically why I bailed on Plunder, too.

It's okay, though. Like you, I discovered how great Command is. Plunder was my jam in 3, but Command is too good now. The easy mine kills and generally more-focused teams is a much better experience, in my opinion. The maps feel more balanced on it as well (with Plunder having some true head-scratching spawn locations).

Unfortunately, you still get some crappy teams. I still manage to get between 3,500 and 5,250 depending on the game, though (much more than Plunder) -- I just wish more people would learn how revives help the whole team.

Command's really the best mode right now, I think.

No idea wtf is going on with all the connectivity issues..can't seem to play one good game without getting booted. Fking drives me nuts

Oh and I second the Team Objective mode suggestion. That was my most played mode during UC3 as well

I've had 2 of the black screen freezes already tonight. I'm plugging along and then suddenly the screen goes black and I have to restart the game. I went back a few pages and no one was talking about it. Is anyone else getting this?

This has happened to me at least once a night since launch. It even happened to me on my first warmup ranked match, which caused me to lose "[A] times the Ranking Points" (verbatim text). I got disconnected near the end of my second match and got the same message and that ended my attempt at ranked play.

Which hero gun do you suggest using? I was thinking starting ammo and clip capacity..

I would recommend Rafe's Para--Clip Capacity and Blindfire Accuracy are the most important for the gun. Basically guarantees you'll be able to down an enemy without reloading both because you have more bullets to shoot and because those bullets are able to hit the enemy more consistently.

Starting ammo is pointless to me because every down/KO gives you ammo so it's very hard to run out, and things like silencers aren't useful in this game because you're almost always near teammates so you can't really hide, unless of course everyone is using silencers.

Clip capacity is the most important mod. I don't think starting ammo is necessary. I've played about a dozen hours of multiplayer and only ran out of ammo three times.

I use the Para with clip capacity and reload speed. Blindfire or silencer probably works well depending on your playstyle.

It surprises me how many people play so defensively in this game. Mobility is key, mobility is fun, mobility is life.
Because that's how they play single player. That's why the series has always had so many detractors when it comes to its gameplay - tons of people spend most of the game finding cover and staying there while only peeking out to shoot. Which is boring.

Yeah, I want to buy Chloe but the $3 worth of UP I got with the special edition won't cover it.

MP is amazing. My only gripe is the lack of voting screen for the maps. Its getting ridiculous now. I am getting the same 3 maps over and over again for hours. Whats the point of 8 maps if the game is not going to let us play in those.

They probably removed the map voting option because many people dismissed Highrise*, but I agree that they should randomize the map pre-selection algorithm.

* It's funny that this was the most vertical map of Uncharted 2 MP and now all Uncharted 4 maps have lots of verticality...

Highrise had way to much vertical space and it was also a large level. I prefer the smaller levels.
