Under Night In-birth Exe:Late |OT| Under Night In-America

There are alternate costumes?
That got cut in development -- a bunch of other stuff did.

Like streaming straight from cabinets to NicoNico:

And team battles:

And some additional guest characters (that they ultimately couldn't afford):

I would say that they'll get added in future versions, but they haven't finished making their other games, like Under Night In-Baseball or Melty Blood SkyStage:

None of this stuff is real... I think. I found all this looking for Gordeau's Technicolor Dreamcoat... but I couldn't find that, derp.

Fuck rematch buttons

we need real time nico streaming ArcSys

I think the Fillia thing was something they were trying to negotiate that just fell through for whatever reason.(you can pretty much take your pick when it comes to skullgirls)

Uhh what happened to the First post, its gone. Is it neccessary to watch the one hour video. Its kinda done pretty roughly even if it is translated. It feels like the speaker is all over the place for obvious reasons, and it making it hard to follow.

^ Yeah, what did happen to that 1st post. You good In-verses, Solune?

------

It'd be nice if they added Fillia when the game makes it's US Debut. The deal falling through for a time doesn't have to mean it's forever impossible, right?

I wonder if it's a deal for requiring some help to make the sprite, especially with them working so hard on DBF Climax. Part of the reason Akatsuki got in was because Blitzkampf's camp pretty much handled all of his creation, from sprite work to voices, correct?

Yeah, has nothing to do with language- the guy in that video isn't a great teacher/speaker at all, lol.

Since Orie is my main I demand this get released!

Meanwhile, any other Orie players? Does anyone know if there are any follow ups from her 4C besides 214B or jc. B,C. I saw this, but I can't seem to get my 5B to connect. Help?
You can do A DP after 2C 4C and link into 5A 5C if it's relatively early in the combo.

I'm on mobile so I'm not gonna pull up the video but I assume that's what is on the video.

Thanks I did know about the DP but looking for more options.
The video does 2C, 4C, jc.B, C, (land)B <--can't get the B to connect.

So just reading up it seems the English version won't be out till next year? I thought it was coming over here this fall? A bit disappointing if so. I wanted to try this to see if I like it but I have no interest whatsoever in the shenanigans required to use a JP PSN account nor do I have any interest in owning a Japanese version of this game.

I don't know why I picked this game to get back into fighting games with, but I did.

Forgot how much I suck, haha. Time to practice...

Did something happen while I was gone? When I checked the thread during break I noticed that the OP turned into a dot and now I just noticed that Solune is banned.

There's bits of this collaboration still in the game. I unlocked character art from the Skull Girls team in the Gallery mode.

That's good to know. I'll make sure to take a look when the game arrives (hopefully tomorrow).

Finally bought and played the game, shame that I cant train much because I can only play on ps3 from friends : \

Only thing I didnt liked is that the display options are horrible, overscan or border...

So installing the game now, who's wants to school me later ;)

I usually don't netplay, but the netcode in this game isn't bad. Where do you live?

Currently I'm borrowing a friend's Ps3 to play. I'm on the account MrMinionman if people care to play sometime.

I tried the game on Friday with a friend, I ended up liking it more than I thought I would so I couldn't resist temptation and downloaded the game later that night >.>

Visually the character I liked most was Waldnstein, then I found out he's top tier, and then when I tried the game he was fun to play as, so I ended up maining him. He's pretty much the first grappler I main ever.

Said friend I mentioned uses Yuzuriha and god that range is so annoying to deal with :|

Ugh, I know, I fucking hate that :|

Uh oh... We might be testing our net-friendship in the future. :lol

I just have a thing for sword waifus, zoning with arcing sword ranges/normals and katanas it seems. :P

Dude I dealt with your Marth in Brawl's online. I'm pretty sure that's the stuff unbreakable bonds are made of.

If I get it tomorrow I should be on for most of the day.

I have no idea who I want to try first.

I think I'm most interested in Orie but we'll see.

Also, is everyone so far just making their own combo's or getting them from videos?

Planning on picking this up next week (hopefully), is there a decently active NA scene online so far? Don't really have a ton of local friends playing fighting games (especially not anime games) so 99% of my time playing will most likely be online.

Combo lists are pretty good guidelines for everything you can do with the character.

However its really easy to chain moves in this game so its very simple to change up combos or to throw in/take out moves. Since some of the combos might be too difficult to pull off or not worth the extra bit of damage, its a good idea to experiment and find what works for you.

Combo lists are also useful to see what you can get off a specific attack. If you find yourself getting a lot of mileage out it in matches or setups.

God damn, Seth feels like playing Makoto if she was designed to be a last boss :lol

Edit: Ok starting to get the hang of this now lol

GGs, Q. You're the third friend to pick up Seth that also used Makoto. But you're the first person to actually say that straight up lol.

And yeah, getting the hang of UNIEL isn't too bad. Once you mess around with Chain Shift and knowing how to shield, everything makes sense.

Haha yeah, he's literally a batshit crazy version of her. I just gotta figure out a few thing with him and I'm good to go. I literally played him for 5 minutes before playing you lol

I'm assuming the chaining is still like A > B > C with some exceptions?

At least with Blazblue I usually look for high level matches and just rewind certain parts till I can write down the notation for a particular combo. So it's like Blazblue then where you can swap out different parts of combo's/perform things in a different order?

I was just wondering how hard of a time I'm going to have learning combos compared to other games.

I suppose I'll find out for sure tomorrow!

There's no set order in chains. You can go in whichever order you want. Usually it's good to do pokes with B moves. 2As are good for blockstring enders or mashing something out fast. Eltnum can do something like 5A > 2C > 5C > 5B > 2B > 2A as a blockstring.

The game gives you a lot of freedom so you can make up combos or blockstrings on your own. Combos are rather short too.

I think I might switch to Seth. Byakuya is cool and all but I feel like it's just rekka rekka rekka. Seth has combos which make me feel like it's not just rekkas that's carrying me.

Got the chance to play this last night at Arcade UFO in Austin. Eltnum is pretty similar from what I remember of Melty Blood, but Vatista is where it's at with that standing fierce and dash attack...

I'll try to play more of it someday, but I think I'll wait for the US release before I import.

Ah all normals cancel into each other in any order I think so you can go with 2A->5B->2C->2B->5C->6C but you can only any normal once per combo string. Although I think the timer can reset in the middle of a combo so you can through the chain again in the middle of a combo. Normals that cancel into themselves, that you can spam count as single use if you do something like 2AA->2C. There are a lot of details but mainly going from one normal to another should not be too difficult.

It really depends on the character I think. Some have easy ones where you spam buttons and they link into specials really easily or into jump cancel attacks. Merkava combos are really easy, the only difficult part I've found so far is cancelling certain multi hit normals on the first hit. Then there are really difficult combos for me like Akatsuki's which involve micro dashing and I find them impossible.

Got my copy. No idea who to main!

Same here!

I see. That sounds a bit more interesting than how BB does it. If anyone wants to play a bit later I should be on for most of the day.

I'll be on around 8 PM PST tonight if anyone wants to play or ask questions regarding the game.

I won't be helpful on most character questions though. Just Eltnum, Nanase, and a bit of Orie and Vatista.
