When downloading on my PS5 Pro, it often halts unexpectedly. The download speed is good initially, but then it just stops, and the timer rises. Even with Rest Mode enabled, the download doesn’t continue, despite having downloads set to run in Rest Mode. I never had this issue with my regular PS5. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

Check the power settings, make sure it has it enabled there.

I checked again, and yes, the function is activated. I just tried downloading The Last of Us Part 1, and it's stuck on calculating the remaining time. I've already restarted my Pro, restored licenses, and changed my network settings. Honestly, this is frustrating. I've never had this problem before.

Check the errors list.

Is it going to an M.2 SSD reseat it. Or change the drive it downloads to to test if the problem follows.

not sure, hasn't happened on mine - it only happens when my internet cuts out or storage is full

I’ve had this happen before several times on my original PS5 and I have no idea why, hasn’t happened in a long time though.

I checked again, and yes, the function is activated. I just tried downloading The Last of Us Part 1, and it's stuck on calculating the remaining time.

I had this today when an update for dying light started downloading. It stuck on calculating an 8gb download, then when I went to stop and delete the update it froze my pro. Had to do the worse and switch it off at the plug socket. Restarted it, did all the repairs and the download for dying light began again but at 11gb. Puzzling.

Not here, and I've downloaded almost 1 TB of stuff since getting it.

On wifi btw, and downloads seemed to cap at ~170 mbps on a 1 gig connection. A minor annoyance as my phone pulls 200+ easily on the same access point.

The download either pauses with the timer going up (in which case just leave it and it will resume after some time) or I get a red exclamation mark error saying the download could not be completed. I tried resetting everything, including the M.2 ssd, and the external SSD, and the PS5, but I still have this problem almost every time I download something.

Could you possibly be throttled by your ISP? If not, I would probably suggest doing a reset of your router and see if that changes anything.

I haven't had it happen yet and I must have downloaded close to 2TB. Speeds have been surprisingly well too, anywhere between 600mbps to 1GB on WiFi.

It never happened to me when I downloaded while in rest mode, so if it’s constantly happening to you, have you tried that? Hopefully it will help, I’d be pissed if it happened every time.

It happens to me most often in rest mode. I guess I'll wait and see if the problems disappear once I get my PS5 Pro, it's annoying to have your download canceled after something like 80 GB is already downloaded

Had this issue on my OG too a few times. Just pause, wait a bit and resume will fix it

Didn't have this on my PS5 but on the Pro, yes.
Annoying.
Also the system seems slower than my old PS5.

Did my super luck get me a bricked console?

Did you try restarting your router? I once had dns errors on PS5 and couldn't download anything from PSN until I restarted my router.

hope this makes you feel better, the issue you mentioned above happens on my PS5 as well, its not common, but i would not say its rare either.
Not sure why though, i always thought its the issue on the server side.

What i do normally, is either wait, or just restart my ps5.

After completely shutting down the Pro and letting it rest for a few hours, the issue was fixed. I hope this doesn't happen again, it was really frustrating.

Maybe is a login problem? Did you move from PS5 to PS5pro?

Check what is your primary console.

Yours gets canceled? Like it forces you to start from scratch? Mine would just get interrupted and I’d have to resume it.

I left my PS5 Pro downloading like 10 games during the night. with no issue. Have you checked your rest mode options? I think there's one there that only downloads stuff for like a few hours and then doesn't anymore. Unless i'm mistaking for the amount of time it's charging your controllers...

Got the same problem while downloading a lot of games for testing.

The download just stops, i.e. it is technically still running but does not download anything. Pause the current download and resume fixes this temporary until the next stop. This really sucks because it can also happen in rest mode.

This happened to me for 2 days straight while downloading a lot of games on the new console.

Also, is anyone getting constant audio drop outs and freezes in cutscenes in Horizon Forbidden West? It's a nightmare. Hope to hell they fix whatever this bug is
