So are there people in America who ACTUALLY believe Having Obama makes you a socialist country? and is the rest of the world evil to you? because even your left wing is still pretty right wing to everyone else. And us (UK and europe) arn't socialist lol.

Yes there are people in America who think that.

edit* im pretty sure the quote I have is sarcastic but its just an example.

Thank you for pointing this out. For one, most of those fools don't even know what socialism is and two, it's code for "that black guy".

I'm noticing Florida's final numbers are 49.8 Obama, 49.3 Romney. Does this mean we're gonna have to wait for a recount?

What I don't understand is how Obama manages to be both Hitler and socialist/communist at the same time.

Well, him being the Antichrist and all, he has the special power to be both at the same time.
He's like the ultimate bad guy in the conservative psyche, Black-Muslim-Nazi-Communist

A reality TV show that cost $6 billion to run, counting the cost of all national and local elections nationwide.

This is awful. I hope you guys complain about this. I heard that 90% of the ads were 'attack ads', which were basically just a guy saying why the other guys sucks, instead of saying why he is the better choice.

Some lady is saying the republicans don't need to change anything, they just need to talk more to people to bring them on board. It's really rather funny that they don't get how out of touch they are getting with people.

Was glorious when the other lady was trying to point out the data and polling was overwhelmingly and clearly showing that young people and women care deeply about things like social issues, women's health, and education grants over and above specific economic issues only to have the woman you mention basically say "no, that's not what they think or care about! It's about the economy!". She ignored the response of "That's what the data says, regardless of how different you want it to be".

Reality be damned!

It's late, no more salt please. I've had enough.

WTF? Seriously, I have no investment in either side. Just pointing out that from an international perspective, Obama is perhaps one of the most innefectual presidents I've seen. The man promised the world and delivered... well not much really. Surprised that your country was willing to put up with another four years of stagnation, really.

Oh, and don't give me that Killed Osama BS. You think he was directly responsible for that? Please :-\

Yeah, you should just stay out of US political discussion, because you're not very informed at all.

...but seriously, yeah, I posted an opinion that you'll find often repeated in the international community. I know it's kind of hard for you Americans to grasp, but America != the world, and Obama has obviously stealth-achieved a lot more than is apparent internationally. Either that or you guys are drinking a metric shit-ton of kool aid.

Didn't deliver much really? I'm outside the US, but even I know he accomplished quite a lot, even if he fell short of the electorates (and his own) expectations.

99% of the international community has the ability to grasp what he has accomplished, in detail. Thats generally because the international community is a bit more educated, however in your case...

What has he NOT accomplished that is his own, individual, fault, as President? Only 1 thing for me. Guantanamo. Everything else is due to a global economic meltdown.

Don't worry, dude, this discussion is coming from outside the USA!

oh stop this nonsense, this thread has many international supporters for Obama. You can't keep representing the outside alone.

Where are you, where you speak for the world outside of the USA?

He/She has a point. If you want to come in here and learn about the process that goes on here then that's wonderful but coming in and making blanket statements like that when you are not aware of the intricacies involved is just not the way to go about it.

He did say a lot of things in 2008 and he got a lot of good things done to move us in the direction. The first thing you should learn about the United States is that you can go in with all of these great ideas and motivation but eventually you're gonna hit a snag. That snag is the United States Congress which is mostly made out of ill-informed leaders who just happen to want to oppose anything Obama wants to get done.

lol

Yeah, no.

And please don't try to take your lone uninformed opinion and try to amplify it to the "international community"'s opinion.

On behalf of the world (except Pakistan); Thank you for doing the right thing Americans.

Cheers!

lol @ republican tears and Fox news

Would you prefer we elected Romney? Because that was the only other option.

No I wouldn't. I just find it sad that people are celebrating the fact that they voted in the least incompetent man for the job. Okay, the other fuck-tard didn't get to be president which is nice, but honestly you all lost. The state of American politics is a desolate wasteland of choice, and if it makes Obama seem like the second coming of Christ as a result of gratitude that Romney did not get elected then that's not a great thing.

I hope that more third parties gain traction moving into 2016, because maybe then the voters will have something else to consider other than "who do I like the least?"

But that's exactly my point. You chose the lesser of the two evils. That's not to say he's the right choice for America, just the least douchey.

Two big things you're either not aware of or have forgotten:

1) The next president may very well get to choose up to two Supreme Court justices. These positions are held for life, not just 4 years. The Supreme Court has a ton of power here, more so than what was originally intended, actually.

2) The Republicans in the House and Senate spent Obama's first term blocking everything they possibly could. They used the threat of the 'filibuster' at a rate never before seen in our history. He's basically had his hands tied, not being able to even fill cabinet seats until a recess, while the Republicans made it priority number one to deprive him of a second term by obstructing every policy he tried to put forward. They wanted him, and by extension, the country, to fail just so they could get their guy in next time around.

I don't get why people are shitting on kurtrussell so much.
I mean he's not saying that Obama is not the best choice possible, he's saying it's not a good choice.
You people do know that best =/= good, right?

Well yeah but that didn't change anything.
Heck his healthcare reform was probably the one thing he should have waited till 2nd term to get it done.
And really as far as I can tell contrary to my home country you actually elected someone whose stated mission is basically put us in way more shit than we already were.

He came out a bit boorish and condescendent, which is never a good way to make new friends.

I agree with him, though.

You do know our own people made it a pain in the ass for him right? Now with more Democratic seats in the house, he might actually get shit done. That's not to say all is forgiven, but we need to see what actions he takes before we're criticizing Obama in his second term.
