I keep seeing this embarrassingly stupid mistake. I made this simple picture to educate those people unfamiliar with both "maps" and "facts."

Awesome. Tired of that general coastal attitude. The transplants to NY/LA/SF have to come from somewhere.

O Reilly asked Bob Beckel why married women voted for Romney and single women voted for Obama.

That's a very broad question. There are multiple variables as to why single and married women vote the way they vote. Just a few socioeconomic examples:

-Geography
-Family
-Income
-Education
-Religion

This is making most webcomics look like masterpieces.

The dude is crazy. He got dropped from every newspaper that carried him, and all of his comics are about his badass Navy SEAL sniper self-insert, his token black Republican mouthpiece who constantly gets sick burns on Obama, hot interchangeable women who pose in painful ways to show off their tits and explain how females are biologically weaker but it's not sexist if a woman says it, and they constantly talk about politics and do awful Doonesbury imitations.

Past story arcs have including a wounded sniper on a helicopter shooting a bunch of terrorists through their Korans, a bunch of Black Thugs using slang like "cracka knock out my roosevelts!?" getting owned by the 2nd Amendment, Token Black running for president, Self-Insert's wife publicly humiliating herself for her husband's pleasure, Self-Insert losing all of his money and home due to being a dumbass Obama's Economy and then getting a government handout getting all his money back doing a special CIA op to help out Israel since our President is a traitor

Common themes include preparing dinner, incomprehensible word salad that reads like a stroke victim, rampant sexism and racism, conspiracy lunacy

But if Obama won through an act of God......

This sounds so terrible, dear god.

Also Political Cartoons seems to be the only way for Neo-cons to be OVERTLY racist and get away with it. Their illustrations are disgusting.

His Fox News shit is crazy. They are saying Obama took the low road and ran a dirty negative campaign and slandered Mitt. And Obama should be ashamed of how he won.

Wow. From the people who call Obama a Muslim socialist, non America.

Lol

Fair and balanced. Hannity isn't "news" Yet they stick him on a news channel. Doesn't make sense.

It's like they refuse to acknowledge anything hat really happened and the campaign that was ran against Obama.

It's seems intellectually dishonest and not talking facts.

I'm wondering whats going on with the whole America getting another state. Can anyone explain to me whats going on with that and if that's true why it isn't being reported on?

It will be interesting to see how much of an influence Obama's support of the Democratic candidate in 2016 will have on the demographics he does so well with right now (18-29, black, Latino, single women, etc). The GOP has a ton of work to do over the next 4 years to figure out how to appeal to these groups if they want to have a chance.

Yeah nothing low about those Jeep ads.
Although perhaps poetically a lot of analysis is saying that that really fucked them on Ohio, there was a massive backlash and the campaign now realizes it was a huge mistake.

Lots of interesting articles today about GOP need to completely re-examine itself and evolve to match changing demographics, or become extinct.

Obama ran the dirtiest campaign in history that slandered a nice man like Mitt Romney! Mitt Romney wasn't a real conservative, he was a spineless moderate! Sandy! Christie! Minorities and women are idiots that vote for stupid reasons, we shouldn't reach out to them, and we don't understand why they don't vote for us! Poor people wanted free stuff!

Every goddamned excuse that doesn't involve the fact that their policies stink. Anything to maintain the self delusion that "we" (old straight white Christian males) are the True Americans, and "they" (young people, people of color, LGBT, women, atheists, Muslims, etc.) are irrelevant outsiders.

After 2008, it was "We Surround Them." After 2012, it's "They're Taking Over Us." And "We" keep blaming "Them" for division.

Living in Colorado, I would fully agree that Obama ran a very negative, very divisive campaign, but at the same time it's hilarious for someone on Romney's side to try and claim a moral high ground when he did the same.

Obama's older daughter, Malia, will turn 18 years old by the time he leaves the White House.
She will learn to drive while living in the White House. She will start dating. Can you imagine growing up like that?

The repercussions of an Obama daughter being caught acting “bratty” have been discussed within the family, Michelle Obama has said.

“I think they are . . . the first kids in the White House growing up where everybody’s got a cellphone and everybody’s watching,” the first lady told the women’s Web site iVillage last month. “You may be having a moment, but somebody could use that moment and try to define you forever.”

Then there’s the angst-ridden challenge of dating while living in the White House. Michelle Obama has promised not to discuss her daughters’ potential dating lives but has relished in the idea that dating the president’s daughter will inflict no small amount of trepidation in young men.

Chelsea Clinton turned out OK.
I wonder how I would feel being 16 or 17 and showing up at the White House to date the President's daughter.

I think I get some satisfaction out of this knowing that Obama personally hated Mitt Romney's fucking guts. I wonder if/when we'll ever hear more of that.

Puerto Rico had a vote that they would accept becoming a state in the United States of America.

The Disney Channel used to replay My Date with the President's Daughter a lot, so I imagine it's just like that.

What kind of ads were run there? Just curious.

That's my main beef with it too. They slung mud at Obama as well. I don't know how you can complain about I when you do the same.

Not sure if this is the time or place, but the last election has got me thinking about who will be running in 2016.

I've got a few candidates in mind for the Democratic Party, mostly women, so I'll just jot down a few.

Kirsten Gillibrand
I think she's off to a good start and her time in this next session of the senate will be a crucial opportunity for her to gain experience and prove her worth. From what I've seen of her on TV and in interviews, she's personable and firm in her beliefs. Potential setbacks are her youth, the fact that she'd be the first female president (not necessarily bad, I think America is ready for a woman as president), her relatively liberal stance, and her lack of experience. I'll be keeping my eye on her.

Elizabeth Warren
Wow is her star on the rise. She's got a great chance to pave the way for her candidacy. She's smart, appears to be tough on shady business, and really popular. I'm worried about her age, though she'll be 67 in 2016. Still need to see a bit more of her in action.

Julio Castro
Well, I don't think he'll be ready by 2016, but I'd like to see more of him in the future. To be honest, I'm not as familiar with potential hispanic candidates - but he's got vitality and a good smile. He's extremely popular and I can see him hitting the House or the Senate in the next few years. I think the next democratic candidate will be latino or female.

Hillary C.
Sorry guys, I don't think Hillary is going to make it to the Oval Office. She's going to be too old in 2016. I don't think she should leave government completely, but I think she missed her chance. It's too bad, she probably would have made a decent president.

Again, to be honest, I'm not very familiar with many of the Republican faces, but I'm think they'll need to go with a non-white, relatively moderate candidate. I don't think the party will put up a female candidate. We may see more center-right candidates. I'm struggling to think of someone I'd actually consider voting for. Maybe someone like Olympia Snowe or Jim Leache. Then again, I don't know what direction they're going to go.

Mike Huckabee
I'm not sure how appealing he is as a candidate, but he looks like the checklist of an ideal, hard-right republican. His pass on the 2012 bid may mean he's testing the waters for 2016. I don't think this is the direction the country should move in, but if Obama's next 4 years are a disaster, it's possible the country could shift more in this direction. His views on homosexuality and evolution are pretty big hurdles.

Gary Johnson
AN interesting mix of views, he supports same-sex marriage, separation of church / state, drug decriminalization, is pro-choice, and is against censorship and regulation of the internet. Actually, the more I read about this guy the better he looks. Hmm...

Ryan
I don't think he made a strong enough impression during this campaign to make him a viable choice in the next election. When people see his name, they're going to think "Romney"→"loss". Unfortunately, he's finished. I don't know much about him, but it really bugs me he lied about his race time. Damn, dood, just come clean!! The man can't tell the truth about how fast he ran a marathon and he wants to be Vice-President?

Hmm, I'm drawing a blank here - anyone else want to add to the list?

Almost every single Obama (and same with Romney) ad was about demonizing the other guy. The my point of view here, Obama just did a better job of trashing the other guy than Romney did, and the issues were only a footnote. I'd say 80-90% of the ads were negative, and that's just looking at the official ads, not the interest group ads.

I think Jeb Bush will be pressured to run on the GOP side. I also get the feeling they see Marco Rubio as their next big thing. Before Sandy, I would of guaranteed Chris Christie would run, but they seem to hate his guts now.

I dont see Warren running at all. She's smart enough to realize she has no chance. I wouldnt mind seeing Amy Klobuchar run. She is super popular in Minnesota, and while not super liberal (that makes her electable), ill always vote for her sicne i think she does a good job
