I wonder if they want to keep people confused as to who really kills Joff. Throwing Dontos back into the mix will create that extra layer of confusion.

I think that would be easy to solve with his conversation with Littlefinger before he dies.

Something like, "You told me to give her the necklace with the poison!" And then he gets killed.

Do they? He's a terrible person.

Not really, in the scope of the world. He just plays to win.

Well, yeah, he's kind of shitty, and directs a lot of shitty people to do the things that they do. But, out of all the potential buddy comedy/sitcom spinoffs that GoT inspires, him and Arya is probably my favorite.

Was anyone else put off when Jamie said he's been in Kings Landing for weeks now? And when They said the wedding was in a fortnight? The timeline is getting a bit difficult to reconcile between the show and books, but that's the nature of adaptations. Still a great episode, I'm so excited for everything that goes down this season.

Ugh, I can't even imagine how painful it will be to see Oberyn's death. :( The actor's doing such a good job. I admit I didn't really imagine Oberyn like him, but he's great.

The new Daario actor is too likeable, imo. I feel like that was a purposeful decision, but it's just so odd to not hear "Daario Nahaaris" and see who is supposed to Daario Nahaaris and not cringe or want to roll my eyes and skip the scene. :p

I wonder how they'll handle Sansa's escape. I knew Dontos was coming in this episode, and one was reason was obviously the gems, but I thought he'd also kind of set up the events of the escape. I suppose he'll come sometime before/during the wedding, or maybe even right amidst the chaos, and whisk her away. I'm actually happy they chose to bring Dontos instead of have LF do it only because that'll be LF's sudden and grand entrance into this season.

Loved Cersei's scene with Jaime. After rewatching some episodes, I began feeling a bit sorry for show Cersei, but the Cersei in this episode definitely felt more like the book Cersei.

Also, I like this episode just erased all further remaining doubts about Tyrion killing Shae. It's definitely happening.

Really liked it, great start. Preview for next week hyped me up as well ahhh

I don't believe it was ever really confirmed, but I think that we were led to believe that the Tyrells pulled it off. And now with this episode having the necklaces with Olenna and then the necklace Dontos gives Sansa... Lots of necklace shenanigans going on there!

Edit: Had to do a quick search to remind myself:

Yeah I just looked it up and found the details. And dayum, Sansa in this artwork.

Arya still passes for a little girl, but Bran has aged massively, according to that preview. I guess they better turn him into a tree ASAP. :p

It was okay, like most GoT eps. I liked how they're borrowing from TWOW, if that was indeed what it was and not just a coincidence.

Oh my god, Oberyn is so hot. His scene was faaaaantastic. Whew, I was blushing a little bit.

Also the shot of Arya and The Hound together in the bushes was hilarious. Need to make that my wallpaper.

edit: New Daario is mad hot, too. And Jaime cleaned up well. Man, this show has such great eye-candy.

Episode ended really dark with Arya killing in cold blood. I wonder if that might turn some people off.

Oh yeah, Oberyn affection in completely deserved.

My favorite part of the episode was the shadow of a dragon over King's Landing after the episode. There is so much angst coming.

I thought they did a fantastic job for the most part, although the scene with The Red Viper was...uhh....it was certainly something. Littlefinger's T&A emporium keeps fulfilling its job of providing nudity to the show, I guess. My favorite scene was probably Arya getting her first small taste of revenge.

I have no idea why they changed actors for Daario, this new guy just ain't as good.

Old Daario had dat swag, yo.

He got cast in a movie or something :/

Bummer we only get one more season of Boss Tywin, also what's Brienne gonna do for the season? In the books I thought she immediately went after Sansa when she arrived at King's Landing.

Yeah, old Daario was much better. Such a shame. He really nailed that whole dangerous vibe that the new one just doesn't have.

That was because she and Jaime arrived right after the wedding and she escaped. It doesn't look like she'll be leaving on her journey until after the wedding.

Wasn't it a hairnet?

Why is "Rhaegar left her for another woman" a note-worthy thing for Oberyn to say?

Because the common belief, by those such as Robert Baratheon, was that Rhaegar kidnapped her. But as it turns out, she likely went with him willingly.

I'm assuming she's going to hang around until Sansa leaves, and then go after her.

Which is fine, more chances for my only ship to get screen time. /sniff

Needs an update already. Polliver's gone. xD
I have no idea who half the people on the bottom row are... :S

Four pages for Ser Duncan :)
I really smiled at that line. :)

Aww shit...

TWOW [stuff]
Yeah. It was a great scene but somewhat alarming
that they're moving on to TWoW material so quickly...

Not anymore it doesn't. :( Well new Daario looks kinda good I'll grant you, an improvement over old Daario for sure, but I don't like Jaime's new look. At all. So boring. And he was the hottest. :(

Martin wove so much subtlety into Lyanna's fiasco. It would be nice to have more stuff like that, but too much of that and too many people would miss too much of what was going on.

Anyone think they have a basic layout of how each episode will go this season, the first few have descriptions, and the last three are obvious. I am just not sure about the middle.
