LOL @ all that Stannis fan salt at the end, D&D managed to troll them and do it right, just saving it for the next episode. I love them even more now. Other than that, amazing episode, Neil Marshall is a god damn boss.

Next week is going to be holy fuck awesome, so many things!

But yeah, Stoneheart is totally cut, at least for this season. Let out your rage now so when the last scene is Tyrion/Bran/Dany(pls no) you're prepared and can keep those sodium levels down.

The Stannis non-save notwithstanding, that was one of the best episodes of the series. They did a big battle fantastically (especially love the intricate camera work in this episode).

So next week we have:

* Bran meeting Bloodraven, who is cast, alongside 2 COTF.
* The Hound presumably dying after some encounter they have, and Arya finding the ship captain? A lot for one storyline.
* Tyrion's escape, needs a lot of time to give it the weight it deserves.
* Jon going to Mance + Stannis saving the day.
* Dany meeting the herder and locking up the dragons
* Hopefully LS
* Briennes thing with the ear?

Sheesh. What else?

I think they could still fit in Stoneheart. We've essentially already ad the arcs for Ramsay/Theon and Sansa/Petyr wrapped up for this season already. So all that's really left is:

Stannis/Mance/Jon
Arya/Hound
Bran & Friends
Tywin/Tyrion & others at King's Landing
EDIT: Oh, I guess Dany too. Love that I subconsciously ignored her..

I'm guessing the Stoneheart reveal comes as a part of wrapping up Brienne/Pod on the trail of the Brotherhood.

They can do a double climax to the season as a "oh and just one more thing" reveal. Will be pretty great.

I actually expect a lot of LSH, probably too much as they invent a lot of content and scenes to make use of the actress and actors.

OK, we need a .gif of the kid nodding to Jon. That was great. Calling it now, that kids nod will be better than Stannis' nod.

Holy shit I burst out laughing (in a good way, I think) when they cut to him. The way he was standing, the nod, everything. Hah

Stoneheart can be done in like a couple minutes and is the perfect way to end the season. The final shot could only go to Stannis, Tywin's death, or Stoneheart. Stannis and Tywin are the end of arcs. Stoneheart is the beginning of one. Nothing will get people more hyped for S5 than the promise of Stark revenge (...even if that doesn't really happen).

EDIT: Though come to think of it Children of the Forest could do it too. But I'm still #TeamStoneheart

They can do Stoneheart in like three minutes. It isn't that hard.

"Hey, Thoros, nice Frey you caught there." "I agree! Let's see what the Boss wants us to do? Boss?" *slow pan up to face with obvious neck wound* Credits!

This episode was awesome, I loved Sam's performance and I could have seen the kid being the one to kill Ygritte a mile away.
Next week is going to be slammed full of action, can't wait.

I was fine with Pyp getting RIP'd, but Grenn too? Damnit. At least we still have Edd.. though he needs to be more Dolorous! ;)

Totally agree. I keep wondering where all his fantastic one liners are. In the book he reminds me of Marvin the Robot in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

I'd rather it not end up being like a stinger... scene needs to breathe. :(

I really really want the season to end with LSH. I was shocked at that scene at the end of ASOS and it's the perfect way to end an entire season. It will make the wait for next season even longer for show watchers wondering wtf just happened.

I think they cover everything left to cover this season except one thing in the preview:
- Chained Dragons
- Arya/Hound vs. Brienne (?)
- Tyrion/Tywin
- Cersei trying to seduce Jaime (I bet he turns her down)
- MANNIS

And then LSH. I think that's everything.

I really didn't expect Jon to just smile when he saw Ygritte, it turned me into a big baby. They handled that scene so well and credit to Kit and Rose for tugging on my heart strings.

When are we going to get a full res gif of the long shot of the battle. To see that for a TV show was out of this world!

Why? A "stinger" is pretty much exactly what it was in the book.

What I mean is I don't want a rushed scene just to include her. A typical stinger is what, a minute, maybe two? I want a nice scene to close it up. Not Lady Stoneheart grinning like Thanos.

Oh wow.
That was definitely the hilt of Oathkeeper and looked like the shoulder of Brienne's armor...
I just looked at the Hotpie scene and the scene in the preview. Different armor of the
shoulder on the left side of the screen with Arya in it. But the sword shot before hand looks like it could be Brienne. So I am seriously doubting an Arya/Hound and Brienne scene.

This sounds weird typing it out, but I was disappointed at the lack of crazy violence. There were a few moments but nothing like the insanity in Blackwater.

Not a good day to be Jon's pals, lol.

Preview
The shoulder doesn't look like Brienne, at least in her armour. On the other hand, her having armour and a "big fucking sword" fits in nicely with the way thing have been set up.

But I take it more as a quick cut that is setting up Brienne meeting LSH.

The thing I do like about delaying the Stannis stuff is that it avoids the problem of doing the same thing in an episode 9 twice. In the Blackwater the battle was lost for the Lannisters until Tywin and the Tyrells showed up. Having another "eagles are coming" end tonight could have felt like a rehash.

Still, this means the finale is going to be obscenely packed

You only see a piece of the shoulder in that Hound/Arya scene and Oathkeeper being drawn could be from another scene entirely. Not sure if it is really going down like Arya/Hound vs Brienne/Pod

That's what's going to happen because that's what happens in the books.

I'm pretty sure that's Brienne's armor. Someone unsheathing Oathkeeper might just be a misdirection for the preview, but that's clearly her armor.
