It's Vice Magazine. That's kinda what they do.

True, I've only been exposed to Vice's YouTube videos and HBO stuff before now, a lot of which I liked. This is on a whole new level, though.

Back on topic, and regarding the next episode,
how do we think it will end? Cersei laying the blame on Tyrion, who has an "Oh, shit" expression, I'm guessing. It might actually be quite reminiscent of the ending of Cripples, Bastards and Broken Things.

That throwing stick stunt of yours has boomeranged on us.
Is that vice writer not going to get called out for using the term midget?

I really wonder how the show is going to handle it if the Blackfyre speculation is true. There's no way they can work in enough exposition to explain Blackfyre when they've already struggled to communicate any of the plot about Rhaegar and the rebellion to viewers. And they've never established that there can be non-Targs with the silver hair and all that, so they can't just make him some random kid. I wonder if they'll just have to let viewers believe he's legitimate, just for simplicity's sake.

Yeah, there is a lot of back story that needs to be told to get the point across so that if he is really a Blackfyre it will have some impact. I hope is really is Aegon as it would be interesting to see Dany deal with her nephew that has the strongest claim to the throne.

So is Aegon Targaryen attacking Westeros with Golden Company a fake or real Targaryen?

Well I'm like 95% sure he's a Blackfyre, but I'm also like 75% sure the Blackfyres were the true heirs to Aegon IV so swings and roundabouts really.

Remember Gaf, One of the Targaryens sayings is: The Dragon has three heads

Dany
Aegon
Jon Snow (if he is really lyanna and rhaegar child).

There is always three of them. This is a very important understanding in the Targaryens Family.

Aegon has silver blond hair in the books. It is was dye blue while in disguise. Unless you are suggesting pureblood Vs non pureblood.

I have a feeling you can't fool the dragons about whether you've got Targaryen blood or not.

My cousin and his wife were apparently going to name their baby Khaleesi if it was a girl but it was a boy so they named him after Wolverine.

So, tell me it's Bub...

I can top that. A buddy of mine wanted to name his kid Django, after the musician, but the movie had just come out....so, we had to spend this whole time explaining what a bad idea that was.

So...I just finished reading ADWD, and it feels....so fucking good! I can finally go to forums without the fear of things being spoiled as if they weren't in the past already. Feel really relieved!

My question....how in the hell will they adapt all this and fit them into three more seasons? (The exec producers stated that they have a total of 7 seasons in mind.) There is no way that is happening without massive edits being made.

I think they will do 8 (I hope). There is still two books that need to be released and even f they pass the books they will have lots of material for 8.

The Blackfyres have just as much Targ blood as the 'real' Targs, they'd have silver hair and purple eyes as well.

This link is very convincing http://www.reddit.com/r/asoiaf/comments/156odh/spoilers_all_complete_analysis_of_the_blackfyre/

MUMMER'S DRAGON VISION

That is referencing Stannis not Aegon.

He has a red sword and he has no shadow since Mel did the shadow thing two times and she can't use stannis again to make one because it would kill him.

The stone beast could be referencing Dragonstone which belong to stannis.

All the shadow stuff maybe about Mel influence and support of Stannis.

Does it have an effect on Melisandre, as well? She could just use Stannis's men and kill everyone that opposes them, game over.

No. Melisandre could use other men but Stannis has no shadow to use. That is what I think the man with no shadow means.

But if she can use other men instead, what need is there for Stannis?

You are probably right about Stannis not having a shadow, but I don't remember what that has to do with the overall plot.

Check the last two pages, we were just discussing that.

Also, go read up on some theories!
R+L = J
Aegon = fake
Frey Pies
Howland Reed = High Septon
Balon Greyjoy was killed by a Faceless man

and loads more

Can you explain what R+L=J is?

Morrigan Stark

I don't buy that one either. But R+L=J, Faceless Man offing Balon, Frey pies, are not so much theories as ironclad fact, IMO. Aegon being fake also appears very likely but jury's still out.

I don't think you can say R+L = J is a fact but it is the most talked about theory. Probably the one most people agree upon.

If I could ask for a favor, I think I've seen a gif of the scene where the Thenns put that human arm onto the fire. Would someone be so kind to link it to me? And if it's clean, and there's any gif-wizards in this thread, could I request the line he says to be added as subtitle? I believe he said "You really ought to try crow!".

I need it as reaction gif for crow eating purposes.

The "High Septon Reed" theory is fun, but requires you to ignore that:

- The original uprising of the Faith Militant was based on unseating the Targaryens.
- The central traits of the High Sparrow are that he is extremely close to the peasantry (likely lowborn himself), and is a true believer in the faith of the seven.
- Howland Reed is noble-born, and is a follower of the Old Gods (although I don't have a citation for the latter).

And so, according to the theory, all that this High Septon has done has been to re-establish Targaryen rule by proclaiming his friend's adopted son to be the true king, thereby completely undercutting both his populist and religious credentials.

dammit top of the thread again here we go:
