BOOK SPOILERS, READ THE BLOODY THREAD TITLE

Were you not here for last year? It always goes too far. The best course is to chop it off at the bud.

Completely, completely, completely agree. Making no judgement about any or all of us posting in this thread, but all it takes is one grinch.gif, and the floodgates open.

In all the talk about Joffrey's impending doom though (don't get me wrong, I'm very excited to see it), we're forgetting that we get our first check-in with Ramsay and Reek tonight as well! Cannot wait to see the Roose/Ramsay and the Ramsay/Reek dynamics at work. I'm actually very curious to see what Alfie Allen does with the Reek "character", in that in some of the clips we've seen thus far, he almost looks catatonic and unable to speak.

If the person gets both the Eastern and Western HBO channel, then they should be able to watch it as soon as it airs, on HBO East, it just means that West Coasters will be watching at 6pm instead of 9pm.

Guys, please don't do the "lol how did you like that" etc thing in the other thread after this episode. It's incredibly annoying.

These two need a half hour comedy spin-off that airs during the GOT off-season.

Hound and Arya going around the countryside murdering people and cracking wise.

cornballer stop repeating yourself with alt accounts, you're a mod now!

Should be a fun episode tonight.

A couple quick notes:
- Please don't post gifs from the previews and promos or anything that hasn't aired yet.
- Any casket dancing and other shenanigans in the other thread tonight (or in general) will probably be met with a ban. This includes things like posting grinch.gif, "The book thread sends their regards", and any other nonsense like that. Just stay out of the other thread. Thanks.

Jaime being at Joffrey's side as he chokes to death is going to be really weird, but in a good way.

They just had their first dialogue exchange last week, I believe.

Jaime should say after he chokes:

"They forgot to write all your great deeds as well."

Wow I dont understand the reaction to posting something innocent that celebrates the shock of the show with non book readers. I understand that it could lead to potential spoilers but it be annoying or obnoxious, what? So all those red wedding reactions that everyone loves to watch you guys believe should have never happened cause book readers should never interact with their non book reading friends? That's part of why this entire series is so much fun, having new comers experience these crazy events and we book readers finally getting to talk to them about it.

I dont read Walking Dead comics but I find the walking dead comic readers to be a great source of info and insight as long as they keep the spoilers down. Just my take on it, I wont be in the other thread, I just think you must be really thin skinned if something like that bothers you.

Such a great change. Makes tons of sense and I'm very curious to see how it shames Jaime's character development. In the books, (I know this sounds strange and I know it's all in there), I never really got the sense that he saw himself as completely useless and destroyed as I'm getting in the show. Maybe it's just Nikolaj's performance, but book Jaime just seemed to me as thinking "eh, I'll figure it out". I'm very curious to see what his son dying in front of him, while under his personal protection, does to him.

You're under the assumption that it's all about book readers. Many people do not want to watch the show with book readers, especially ones that revel. It makes sense to me, it just takes a little empathy.

I'm sat here with my dad, talking about GOT, and he goes, "It would be nice and poetic if the king gets killed at his wedding after what happened last year."

I think he's one of those people who pretends not to have read the books to look clever when he 'predicts' it.

I am looking at it from their point of view, I love watching stuff with people that have seen something. I watched Breaking Bad late, I loved it when the people who watched the show before me were able to finally talk about the stuff and I loved hearing their reaction to it. I got a kick of them being able to relive those moments through me.

I understand fear of spoilers totally. And yeah everyone is different so we need to respect that but I personally don't get it.

That's an understandable statement. I thought you were implying that because you didn't get it, it was wrong. I clearly mistook what you were saying.

Will tonight be only Geoffrey, or will we see Tywin and Shae's end ? I don't remember if it's right at the wedding or later...

Should be season finale. Its exciting cause this is the first season where the season finale will have the most shocking moments, not episode 9. Finally a season finale that feels like a true season finale.

And you call yourself Jon Stark?! Lol

Tywin dying is going to possibly be episode nine. Maybe even ten.

A mod should change your name to JonSnow because you know nuthing.

Yeah, since I read the book 14 years ago.

Yep. It's Tyrion's last chapter in book 3.

Ok thanks !

It'll make it interesting if they let episode 9 be relatively quiet and then hit people with Tywin and Shae in the finale, then make Stoneheart the very last moment of the season. People will shit gold.

I know it's counter to what I said earlier in the thread, but I do think it's a little unfortunate to not have book people talk to show people AFTER the event occurs. I suppose there's the practical matter of overexcited book people letting out something they shouldn't, but I do find it fun to talk about media topics with people who have already experienced it as long as they don't say anything too revealing ("What, you hate Cersei? Well you'll be pretty pleased later on then *wink wink*"). It's almost like experiencing that game/movie/show/thing for the first time again through their reactions and excitement.

I remember an interview where he said he wanted to be an academic (professor, lecturer, etc) because that's where his passion was.

I'm pretty sure he's also said that he's still interested in doing stage/theatre stuff. I believe it's the TV/Movie/Hollywood style celebrity culture BS that he's not fond of.
