:: THIS IS THE SPOILER THREAD WHERE WE TALK ABOUT ALL THE PEOPLE THAT GONNA DIE :::

What?

That is her sole purpose for being after being revived.

She is all about single-minded revenge against Freys and Lannisters.

Also the character needs to be developed prior to her meeting with Brienne and Pod in order to sell the fact that they may actually die.

If she just shows up all of a sudden by a chance encounter with Brienne, it will just be a 'wut?' moment, and show viewers will get none of the suspense and won't understand the potential danger Brienne is in.

But this is why I thought they should have introduced the character or at least teased it last season. By putting it off so long they have made the introduction so much more difficult, if they put it off another season, it is only going to become worse.

I really don't think the non-readers will have any problem at all picking up on who LSH is and what she's about.

I get that, and I don't disagree that's her whole deal now - I'm being cynical about the fact it's been a year since the Red Wedding, and there aren't really many visible Freys they can off. If a Frey or two from the Red Wedding had been around in Season 4, I could see them having her kill them, but I'm not certain they'll want to drop in a scene of her just taking out a random Frey due to the long gap.

I just hope that if she does appear, her resurrection isn't met with hoots of 'Oh, please, come On!' by non-readers. I mean, a year after her death? What, the body's been laying down there in the ooze and muck at the bottom of the river for a year and here she is, walking around and directing the hanging of random Freys? I loved/feared Stoneheart in the books, found her terrifying. I just hope after this lonnnng wait that show-only viewers don't find the whole concept laughable, after so long.

If they just jump to the climax of her storyline with no buildup, I think show viewers might be legitimately puzzled, even after they buy into the whole 'back from the dead' thing, and even considering it is fairly obvious she would be super pissed at the freys and lannisters.

I ran across this post at another site, thought it's encouraging about Sunday's episode.

After all the talk about how "packed" the finale would be, we've really got a much more manageable number of storylines that the episode is going to cover:

Dany

King's Landing (which is almost exclusively limited to the Lannisters this episode)

Arya/Hound/Brienne/Pod/LSH

Bran

Jon/Stannis

With the extended runtime they have to work with, we probably get a healthy amount for each story to breathe. It also means, there is ample opportunity to insert other scenes like Balon/Yara there with little consequence if they wish.

Compare this finale to Mhysa.

Dany

Sam/Bran

Jon/Ygritte

Theon/Ramsay/Yara/Balon

Walder/Roose

Arya/Hound

King's Landing (which included Sansa and Joffrey)

Stannis/Davos/Gendry/Mel

Brienne/Jaime

That's 9 storylines to cover as opposed to 5 this season. Massive difference.

So, it looks like we will be spending significantly more time with each section of the story than we did in 'Mysha.' Plus, this episode is 2 minutes longer than 'Mysha.'

Morrigan Stark

Arrogant Smirk
So, are we taking bets on Stoneheart or no Stoneheart after all? :p To me it's blatantly obvious that it'll be the last scene, and I'm one with zero faith in D&D so I don't get why we'd even bet but since so many are skeptical... let's start tallying!

Lady Stoneheart IN: 1
Lady Stoneheart OUT: 0

Briene will be too busy
eating Sandor's ear
to be hanged.

Whoever said she has to be hanged? It's just going to be a reveal. LSH turns around, pulls down her hood, holy shits for the whole world.

That's either just Brienne in shock, or a Frey being hanged. Either way, we're getting the reveal.

Posting for the new thread/. If the rumors turn out to be true I might not watch next season.
20 years from now when the last book release after the courts give permission to excavate Grrms tomb I'll binge watch the rest of the series.

I don't see how hanging the Freys, who slaughtered her family, would make people somehow decide that she might kill Brienne (her friend) and Podrick.

For the show, it might be more appropriate to have Brienne and Pod just meeting her and losing their minds, so as to give the viewers a false sense of safety and of future comeuppance for villains. Especially if it's right after Tyrion's escape.

Bran will be the last scene

although, insert [I want to believe] pic

That would be a terrible scene to end on. Viewers, in the end, only give a shit about Tyrion and the Interesting Starks (I know show-watchers. They basically never talk about Bran. Though sometimes Hodor.) End on one of those two and you can do no wrong, especially for an episode you're banking on to beat fucking Ozymandias.

Going with the idea that they are alternating Fire/Ice endings per season and the final scene will be meeting up with Bloodraven

It's the most killer ending they could do. It won't matter if they don't tell us Stoneheart's motivations or properly explain how fucked Brienne is -- everyone's going to be flipping their shit over a zombie Cat.

And then randomly introduce Stoneheart out of the blue in S5, wasting the chance to have people wondering about it for a year in hot anticipation of the Revenge of the Starks?

Nah. I don't buy it.

No one worries that Dany chaining the dragons will end the episode, since that is what the show always does. #1. Dragons are born. #2. eep, can't remember. #3. Mysha. #4. ??

Dragons born, White Walkers mill around, Dany crowd surf... and then S4.

1. Episode opens with dragons hunting again. ~2mins
2. Scene of Dany looking bored. Farmer comes in, reveal, anguish. Shot of dragons chained up. ~8mins
3. Scene of Lannisters talking and such ~5mins
4. Random scene with naked people ~2mins
5. 2x Scene of Bran doing his tree stuff ~10mins
6. Scene of Jon and Mance ~5mins
7. Scene with Hound and friends ~5mins
8. Scene of attack about to start ~3mins
9. Scene of Stannis ~2mins
10. Scene of Tyrion and Jaime ~8mins
11. Scene with Arya heading off ~5mins
12. Scene of Tyrion and Varys ~3mins
13. Scene with Tywin ~5mins
14. LSH ~3mins

It fits. So in.

I don't think the Tywin scene will last five minutes. Probably about three?

I would like to believe that we'll get Stoneheart in the final scene, but I can't help but feel it's going to end on Bran or Dany.

I'll officially vote "In," but it's not a prediction so much as a hope.

I know that if LSH shows up the bookreaders in my watch-group are going to stand up and cheer. They're 100% convinced she's cut.

The only way ending on Bran would make sense or be satisfying in any way is if he touches the tree and has visions of the rest of the characters (and the last would be SH, if it's in) then vision ends back on his wtf face, cut to black.

And then Hodor says "You know, this is all pretty stupid and I'm done with this shit. You want to walk all this way to be a tree? Here...". Then he rips Bran's head off, plants it in some soil and starts walking home.

That could actually work.

I don't even give a shit if Stoneheart is there. Don't get me wrong, I was surprised when she appeared but she's been such a non factor in the story. I care more about Coldhands. He's actually bad ass. And now he may not even be in the show? Wtf...

Grenn and Pyp's hands are pretty cold by now, I'd imagine.

That is where I'm afraid we will get a LSH scene every week.

... FFS, again with hanging a random Frey.

LAUGHTREY

I'm personally going to guess that Lady Stoneheart isn't in the finale.

They've made it a point to shy away from magic and mysticism except when absolutely unavoidable.

Jon has had no hints at all at having warging abilities, in fact Ghost has been severly underplayed since Season 1 imo.

Would you guys be satisfied if it was just a 10 second "She don't speak, but she remembers." scene instead of any buildup?
