Melisandre probably just said it wouldn't work again. I think it's much more likely that she saw their deaths in the flames and took the credit.
He's being carried around in a glass jar.
I imagined him more poking out of StoneTalisa's stomach wound like a kangaroo with a joey.
Eww... I kinda grossed myself out saying that.
The video is at the link.Yesterday, Alex Graves was a guest on Bloomberg West to talk about his work as a Director for Game of Thrones.
Graves details the production of Thrones, explaining that it is difficult to compare it to any other television show because of its huge scale, and ability to be firm in its storytelling. He explains the extreme amount of planning, the intense filming schedule, and the varying amount of visual effects that goes into each episode. He also reveals that his strategy in avoiding leaks had to evolve recently after being hacked, and he now keeps all of his Thrones material on an external drive.
Graves directed Sundays finale episode, which he says he is very proud of, and is unlike anything thats been mounted on the show, marking a big turning point in the story. He cant answer how many seasons it will take to wrap up the story, but does say that David and Dan will keep it focused and tight, and that he knows enough to say that there is a lot of story left to unfold before the climax can happen.

GRRM's backup is probably printed pages locked in a safe.Yeah, like that's the most reliable way to store data.
It gives me shivers done my spine to think that GRRM might not have any data backup at all. After all, he is writing on a freakin' DOS machine.

Don't worry, Brandon Sanderson has got our backs.
Say what you want about Sanderson, but his work ethic is super human.
Anyone who hasn't heard this track from the soundtrack needs to
"The Children"
Last track on there, possibly last track of the season.
So good.
First thirty seconds would fit perfectly with LSH, then credits music. I really can't imagine they'd cut it.

Not to nerd rage here, but DOS machine has nothing to do with his output. Many very talented, productive programmers still use similar, keyboard only editors (VIM). When you are familiar with the keyboard shortcuts and don't have to move your hands, you can actually work very, very fast.
That's not why he uses it though. He types with only one finger after all.Not to nerd rage here, but DOS machine has nothing to do with his output. I don't believe the comment was about output, more the implication that he is working on an old machine, that isn't networked and hence wouldn't have decent backup options.
All well and good to have it on an external drive, but if he gets a fire through his office it isn't like the data will be stored on the NAS box in his other home.
Or maybe he has some awesome DOS program sorted for all this...but maybe not.
Ah yes, I misread it, but there has been so many "lol he writes slow cause DOS" since that reveal.
He probably uses floppies and stores them in a lockbox in a bank. Haha.
Credit to reddit, in Episode 10 preview whose voice is it?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvoBl1158Gg&list=PLdyYtz46Nolb1ovYhSOnbIYFktNHfZUkR#t=18
That voice sounds like Berric..."The dead can't hear us"
That's very clearly Tormund's voice.
That line would make less than no sense coming from Beric- not least because Beric's dead.

Man, I'm kinda dreading watching the finale. I know I'm going to spend the entire episode looking at the remaining time and wonder if Stoneheart is going to show up. It's going to ruin my enjoyment of the rest of the episode.
I don't really care about stoneheart. They can put her in whenever or not; they know what they are doing and I wouldn't watch a show this much if I didn't trust them to do what they want.
What gets me is this potential Hound/ Brienne encounter. That seems like a big switch and it changes how they proceed so it will be interesting. What I wonder about is Arya. Brienne finds her and then what? Does Arya just run away or say fuck off I'm not going home? Her leaving for Brovos at that time felt partly like a function of her being out of options.
I think I remember reading that when Terry Pratchett and Niel Gaiman were working on Good Omens (their joint novel) their sync solution was something like sending floppy discs through the post.
It's speculation at this point but people have been talking about it as a strong possibility. Brienne confirmed Arya is alive and is looking for her. The hound and Arya meeting Pod and Brienne seems heavily set up and after the hound lived through the scene that ended him in the book, it really looks like they meet and then Arya leave for Brovos. How did everyone conclude Brienne will fight the Hound?

Saw this, someone pointed out that one of the wights has a stark shield.

I think this finally proves that Benjen is a wight/Euron/Daario/Stannis who works for Hot Pie/Varys the Merling-King
Will we ever find out what happened to Benjen?
Will we ever find out what happened to Benjen?
Will we ever find out what happened to Benjen?
I sincerely hope so. Though I wouldn't be surprised if we never do.
Bran actually ate Bejen-paste, not Jojen-paste.Will we ever find out what happened to Benjen?
Brienne's shoulder is pretty clearly in the foreground of a shot of the Hound, and their submission for prosthetics for the Emmys includes a compound leg fracture for Sandor, meaning something is going to break his leg. Guess is that it's the fight with Brienne. And Brienne's actress said she has a major fight scene that we haven't seen yet. Also it's just sort of the logical conclusion to the arc. Her season has been about finding a Stark girl, so it makes sense to end on her finding one. Plus both Brienne and Sandor's book plots end with them gravely wounded, so it would make sense to have them wound each other, especially since Biter and Rorge are dead and can't fight Brienne now.
Interesting. I wonder what the point of the Hound's infected bite was, then, if that's not going to be what does him in?
Also wonder if there will be a conclusive victor or if this will be a double-KO or something.
